Headers should be part of any M20 performance project or restoration. These Supersprint tubular headers are a larger diameter and have better flow than the stock cast iron exhaust manifolds and they make more power. And since the stock headers are known to be brittle and can crack over time these make for an excellent upgrade replacement.
This header system mimics the stock exhaust after the header collectors. It uses the same 3-bolt flange as the original 323 center resonator. This makes them a direct swap from the stock manifolds and downpipes and an easy fitment for a 323 with the stock exhaust. Available for both 2.3L and Turner 2.5L engines, a a Turner Conforti Performance Chip gives you the biggest bang for your buck! Jim Conforti tuned these chips on the dyno to boost mid range torque and increase horsepower in the upper RPM range. While not exactly producing V8-levels of torque you will definitely like the power increase across the rev band. The best thing is that there is NO downside to installing a Turner Performance Chip.Turner Motorsport has been in the BMW chip business since 1995 and all chips have been dyno-tuned to achieve optimum performance and safety. A good header design is key to unlocking performance gains from naturally aspirated motors. At Supersprint every header is designed, developed and manufactured within our factory in Mantova, Italy.
With performance gains the main objective, we study and design primary and secondary piping configurations with varying diameters and lengths. These are then tested on our in-house MAHA Dynamometer enabling us to recognise the optimum setup. We also ensure the 02 sensor bungs remain in their original position for ideal fitting.
Supersprint headers are manufactured using industry leading techniques from the best German 304 and 310S stainless steel with piping thickness variable from 1 to 1.5mm, along with CNC machined, hi-precision laser cut flanges built from 409 and 304 steel for perfect fitment and longevity. The joints are TIG welded in order to guarantee strength and durability. For temperature critical, delicate applications we also use Inconel for some of our products.
These materials and processes ensure Supersprint headers are extremely high quality, durable products that offer true, tangible performance gains.

This Supersprint center section will delete the secondary silencer/resonator in the stock exhaust and fit with the Supersprint sport rear muffler. The front of this section is clamped to the stock front resonator. By eliminating one of the silencers, and matched to the rear muffler, more of the Z4's perky engine note will come through. And with less restriction more torque and horsepower can be released.

These pipes fit after the headers and will eliminate the second set of cats in the stock exhaust. You can use these pipes with the stock exhaust headers/cats or with the Supersprint cat-delete downpipes. By deleting the secondary cats you remove a significant blockage in the exhaust flow - increasing horsepower and improving reliability for track or competition cars. You won't have to contend with catalytic material breaking down and clogging your exhaust while you're on the track. Supersprint's dyno testing with this pipe and the rest of their exhaust resulted in a 22hp gain! This oversized front (section 1) pipe is a direct replacement for the stock exhaust section. It's been optimized for flow with 80mm tubing and mandrel bends. It does have compressed sections like on the stock piece. Although this is very similar to the factory exhaust pipe the larger size from the Supersprint provides better flow and less restriction (key for making power in turbocharged engines).

E9X M3 Supersprint Sport Catalytic Converters with Test Pipes are designed to replace the stock primary and secondary catalytic converters with high flow sport cats. With eliminating one set of cats and enlarging the piping the improved flow will increase performance and throttle response as well as increase sound and reduce weight. The straight-flow cat design allows much better flow than the stock cats, giving a significant horsepower and torque gain and a throaty sound. Removing the very restrictive primary cats results in a 25hp gain!

These cats include post-cat O2 sensor ports allowing for a complete installation by extending your original post-cat O2 sensors to the new location. One area where the US M5/M6 is different than a more-powerful Euro-spec model is in the exhaust. The US M5/M6 got a header design with smaller pipes that is more restrictive. These Supersprint headers are based on the Euro design (no longer available through BMW USA) but are slightly larger tubes for better performance. Fitment note: this system is based on the Euro design with 3-bolt flanges (the US used 2-bolt flanges). You will need the factory Euro center section or the Supersprint center section for this to be a direct bolt on. We recommend using this with the full Supersprint system (front center pipes, rear center resonator, and rear muffler) for the easiest install and the best sound.

Supersprint sport cats for the M5/M6 are designed to work with their performance headers and replace the stock secondary cats. The Supersprint sport cats are much freer-flowing than a factory-style cat. With less restriction, less effort is required to move the exhaust gasses which will free up horsepower and torque. This cat section will mount to the Supersprint merge collectors and then to a Supersprint or stock section 2.
