This Supersprint performance exhaust is built from the Euro M5/M6 exhaust layout but fits the E24/E28 (see fitment notes below). It features oversized dual 50mm stainless steel pipes leading from the catalytic converter. This Supersprint system has a center resonator and rear muffler with free-flow designs for a sporty sound and less restriction to free up horsepower. Both systems are bolt-on to the stock factory catalytic converter (see fitment notes below) and use all of the stock hangers and gaskets. This makes for an excellent replacement exhaust system because the sound is such a great match to the M30 engine and retro cool that these cars have now. It's a classic growl and throaty sound without being overly aggressive. We've had nothing but compliments on the sound from this system. The previous mild steel versions have been discontinued - this system is now 100% T304 stainless steel!

Fitment Note 1 (flanges):
1982-1988 635, 1984-1988 535 models should have a stock 3-bolt flange where the center resonator and front catalytic converter meet. This Supersprint system is a direct bolt-on replacement to this system.
1988-1989 635 BMW changed the center resonator and cat flanges from a 3-bolt triangle to a 2-bolt diamond-shaped flange. The Supersprint center resonator uses the 3-bolt flange. So you must either cut off the 3-bolt flange and reinstall the original 2-bolt flange. Or cut the 2-bolt flange from the cat and weld on a new 3-bolt flange (BMW p/n 18111178137 and gaskets p/n 18301723886, available separately).
Fitment Note 2 (hangers):
This system was originally designed for the Euro E24/E28 which does not have the rear hanger attachment over the tips like on a US model (you will need the Euro hanger setup). In addition the tips are shorter on the Euro muffler since the Euro bumpers do not extend as far as the US bumpers. So the tips on this muffler will sit just past the valance but tucked far under the bumper.

Fitment Notes: This system is not a direct fit with the US catalytic converter section. The factory system is connected with 2-bolt flanges but the Supersprint Euro system is based on the Euro 3-bolt flanges. The US cat section flanges must be removed and replaced with the triangular 3-bolt flange (BMW p/n 18111178137) and gaskets (p/n 18301723886). Or, conversely, remove the 3-bolt flanges from the Supersprint and re-weld the old 2-bolt flanges from the stock resonator section.

The Supersprint rear mufflers for the turbo Z4 is a subtle sound and performance improvement for those that think the stock muffler is too tame. This sport rear muffler is a free-flowing design with larger piping to improve flow and tune the sound. With the stock cats in place the sound is still subdued but the Supersprint muffler makes an alteration to the exhaust note to be a little more sporty and aggressive but not intrusive or obnoxious. The Supersprint X-Pipe will delete the set of resonators ahead of the rear mufflers. By removing the resonators, you can get more volume and growl from your exhaust as well as decrease exhaust restriction for slightly better power and torque. Deleting resonators makes a small but noticeable increase in overall volume so it's recommended that this is done after changing or removing mufflers. This x-pipe fits in section 2 of the exhaust - after the factory cat section and before the rear mufflers. You will need to cut the original resonator section out of the exhaust and the Supersprint is clamped into place.

This is part of the Supersprint cat-back exhaust on the E34 M5. It's a performance muffler to be used with their tuned center resonator. Together these two pieces enhance the Motorsport-tuned engine sounds, accentuating the rasp and giving a deeper rumble at the same time. This is a direct fit to the stock front cat section or to the Supersprint front resonators. The tips are an aggressive 76mm polished stainless design.

Headers should be part of any M20 performance project or restoration. These Supersprint tubular headers are a larger diameter and have better flow than the stock exhaust manifolds and they make more power. And since the stock headers are known to be brittle and can crack over time these make for an excellent upgrade replacement.
This header system features an X-pipe after the headers to improve exhaust flow and scavenging. The X-pipe helps the exhaust gas mix and then flow into the rest of the exhaust. This header system has a bend in the outlets from the X-pipe to fit to the stock E30 catalytic converter (cut the stock E30 downpipes and these clamp in place). This makes them a direct swap from the stock manifolds and downpipes and an easy fitment for E30s with the stock exhaust.

These Supersprint metallic sport cats are for the E46 M3 with Supersprint's own stepped headers. The piping is slightly oversized and the Supersprint sport cats are much freer-flowing than a traditional stock cat. With less restriction, less effort is required to move the exhaust gasses which will free up horsepower and torque. This cat section will only mount to the Supersprint full stepped headers (p/n 044001) and then to any section 2. These cats are built with O2 sensor bungs pre-installed after the cat if you wanted to extend your stock post-cat O2 sensors (however, special software may still be needed).

Supersprint metallic sport catalytic converters are sourced from HJS of Germany. For 30 years HJS has been supplying motorsports teams with sport cats when rules required them. HJS is now a worldwide leader in sport cat technology and performance. Rally cars, German DTM, and Formula 3 all rely on HJS for clean, reliable horsepower. Supersprint works closely with HJS to spec a catalytic converter that is correct for the vehicle and engine package. This allows for a substantial increase in flow but which, at the same time, keeps the environmental specs within European limits. With any high-flow catalytic converter, special software or other work may be required to keep emissions fault codes and check engine lights from displaying. Supersprint catalytic converters are sold for track and other off-road uses only.

This Supersprint center section will delete the secondary silencer/resonator in the stock exhaust and fit with the Supersprint sport rear muffler. The front of this section is clamped to the stock front resonator. By eliminating one of the silencers, and matched to the rear muffler, more of the Z4's perky engine note will come through. And with less restriction more torque and horsepower can be released.

This twin pipe system utilizes two high flow pipes instead of a single large pipe, allowing for up to 25% greater total exhaust flow. Thanks to the increased total flow, these center pipes are capable of supporting S54 engines producing over 400whp, perfect for all highly modified street cars or performance track vehicles.

Without the resonator there to dampen the sound the overall volume will increase and let more S54 rasp come through. Combine this with the Supersprint section 1 straight pipes for even more Motorsport rasp. This section 2 pipe will bolt up to a stock section 1 or cat section and any muffler. It's perfect for getting just a little more volume from your stock exhaust without changing the muffler.
