The ECS Tuning Center Support Bearing Brace is engineered to improve drivetrain performance and longevity. The factory center support bearing features internal an internal rubber bushing to reduce NVH (noise, vibration, and harshness) transmission to the cabin. Unfortunately, this material choice falls short when it comes to performance applications. Under extreme load conditions, this bushing is prone to flexing, resulting in driveshaft misalignment. To address the shortcomings of the factory rubber center support carrier design, ECS engineers developed a set of precision-fit, split polyurethane bushings that secure tightly around the existing driveshaft bearing. Constructed from 30A durometer polyurethane, this material eliminates bushing deflection while maintaining minimal noise, vibration, and harshness (NVH). By eliminating deflection, this innovative solution not only improves durability but also ensures a significantly longer service life than the OEM center support bearing—making it an excellent upgrade for aging BMW chassis.

The polyurethane bushings are surrounded by a robust 6061-T6 billet aluminum bracket designed with strength and reliability in-mind. This bracket features a split design for hassle-free installation, eliminating the need to remove the driveshaft assembly entirely. To install the ECS Center Support Carrier, simply cut around your existing bearing, remove the factory brace, and clamp on your new bushings and bracket. This user-friendly approach saves time and simplifies maintenance or upgrades. Two stainless steel socket head screws are used to fasten the two-piece bracket, offering corrosion resistance and secure clamping under high torque and stress. Stock mounts are made from soft rubber and are sometimes filled with fluid to give a car the most comfortable ride possible. The soft rubber and fluid helps to reduce the total amount of vibration, noise, and harshness (NVH) that is transferred into the cabin. The problem with this is driveline slop. The stock mounts allow a lot of excess movement and increases the amount of time it takes to transfer power to the wheels.

In order to address this issue, performance mounts can be substituted to reduce the amount of slop and transfer power to the wheel quicker. Two options for this are polyurethane mounts and solid mounts.

Solid mounts are great for an immediate transfer of power but allow for a ton of noise and vibration to be felt and heard in the cabin of the vehicle. This is great for the track where there aren't any issues with excess harshness, but as a daily driver, this can become an annoying pain in the neck.

The best middle ground is Polyurethane. Polyurethane is much stiffer than rubber and gives you the much stiffer feel you may be looking for. This allows for the increase in responsiveness, but isn't so extreme that it transfers all of the sound and vibrations into the cabin. This makes it much more comfortable for daily use while still reinforcing your driveline.

Please note: We include 5 quarts of DCT fluid because without a GT1 diagnostic tool and much more involved labor, you will not be able to replace over 5 quarts of fluid. Many elect to do this service and simply flush the fluid 5,000 miles later to ensure all fluid has been flushed, but this is not mandatory.

Both the cartridge and suction filters have their own challenges in replacing. For best results, replace both.

E30 M3 Front Hub Assembly w/bearing. This bearing requires that you use your existing ABS ring. This is a simple press fit. This is an OEM Wheel Bearing Hub Assemblies made by FAG. GSP and FAG are the leaders in wheel bearing technology. These wheel hubs are the best you can buy. Alternate part number 31212225362.

This hub uses the ABS ring from the E28 5-series. For the E30 M3 the original ABS ring will need to be removed and installed on the new hub.

Why is SFI testing and certification important?

The SFI Foundation, Inc. (SFI) is a non-profit organization established to issue and administer standards for the quality assurance of specialty performance and racing equipment. SFI certification indicates a flywheel has been certified using industry-standard SFI Spec 1.1 standards by an independent testing body to ensure quality of both design and materials for flywheels utilized in competitive motorsports.

Having successfully passed SFI certification, this flywheel has an individual SFI serial number found in a laser etching, and on an affixed sticker. This certification means the ECS-engineered flywheel is safe and reliable during the rigors of competitive racing; it's also safe and reliable for years and years of street use.

Automatic transmissions are reliable, shift smoothly, and can last without issue so long as they are properly maintained. Over time, the transmission fluid becomes thick and the filter becomes contaminated with small metal particles. This can cause excess wear, high transmission operating temperatures, and eventual failure. To prevent this we recommend changing your filter, fluid, and seals to ensure your transmission continues to operate flawlessly. We recommend filter and fluid changes every 50,000 miles. Included in this kit are high quality Red Line D4 ATF fluid and OEM filters, seals, and plugs.
