BMW N63 4.4L Vent Pipe

The BMW N63 4.4L Vent Pipe addresses common issues with oil separators freezing in cold weather conditions. This problem often occurs if the vehicle is driven before it is fully warmed up, leading to a howling noise and multiple oil leaks. The crankcase breather valve in the vent pipe purges oil vapor from the engine block into the valve cover. However, condensation can sometimes cause the valve to freeze, which may result in the oil separator system failing, cracking, or disintegrating. This replacement vent pipe ensures proper function and prevents costly damage by maintaining the integrity of the oil separator system.

This is an OEM INA Idler Pulley, also known as the roller pulley or deflection pulley. The idler pulleys are known to be the primary sources for 'belt squealing'. The pulley is also encased in rubber which will crack over time. If left without service the rubber could fail completely, chucking the belt and leaving you stranded.
