The SPL BMW G2X Front Lower Control Arms (FLCA) provide roll center, camber, and track width adjustment for the G2X BMWs (M340i, M440i, etc) while eliminating bushing deflection resulting in sharpened steering response and driving precision. The ability to run more negative camber and a slightly wider track width greatly improves the peak lateral grip available. This is especially important with better tires and a must-have for anyone looking to prevent excessive outer shoulder wear (and heating) on their tires due to a lack of camber. The lower control arms come with a ride height sensor bracket to maintain factory ride height sensor location, regardless of length of the arm to keep those finicky BMW chassis electronics happy. Suitable for all uses, from daily driver to race car. This is the front upper left control arm with the outer ball joint pointing down. This replacement fits E82 1M Coupe and E90/E92/E93 M3 models. This control arm includes the inner, pressed-in bushing and outer ball joint. This part can also be used as an upgrade on non-M E82, E9X, and E89 Z4 models. The inner bushing on the M3 arm is a solid rubber instead of the fluid-filled non-M design. This solid rubber part will last longer and be more responsive thanks to less deflection in the bushing. The M3 arm is a direct replacement for the stock non-M part.

The SPL BMW F2X/F3X Front Lower Control Arms (FLCA) provide roll center, camber, and track width adjustment for the rear wheel drive (RWD) F2X/F3X BMWs while eliminating bushing deflection resulting in sharpened steering response and driving precision.

Negative Camber Benefits

The ability to run more negative camber greatly improves the peak lateral grip available. Adding negative camber results in the tire having an optimal contact patch as the body rolls due to cornering forces. This is especially important with better tires and a must-have for anyone looking to prevent excessive outer shoulder wear (and heating) on their tires due to a lack of camber.

Wider Front Track Width Benefits

Further handling improvements can be had by increasing the front track width from the factory 60.5" (F3X) or 59.9" (F2X) to be closer to the M3's 62.2". If you applied the M3's width to the M340i it would reduce the outer front tire loading by roughly 20 lbs and apply it to the inner front tire. The result would be greater peak grip (~0.04G), improved stability, and faster lap times.

Roll Center Correction Benefits

Lowering the F2X/F3X results in a greater distance between the front roll center and the center of gravity. This acts like a longer lever, creating more body roll, bumpsteer, and requiring additional static camber angle to maintain the same handling. The SPL front lower control arms allow the roll center to be corrected for a wide range of ride heights to improve handling and stability.

The lower control arms come with a ride height sensor bracket to maintain the factory ride height sensor location, regardless of length of the arm to keep those finicky BMW chassis electronics happy.

Over the years, the road takes a serious toll on your suspension. Pot holes, speed bumps, and road hazards all contribute to a sloppy, weak suspension. To give a better feel to your driving experience, change components as they wear to improve safety and ride comfort. One item to replace is the control arm. After years of service, the non-serviceable ball joints and other components can begin to wear out. Because some components cannot be replaced, the only solution is replacement of the entire arm. If replacing any part of your front or rear suspension, it is best to either do it in pairs (both left and right sides), or examine parts that are prone to failure. This will provide the most service life out of replacement parts and assure they are all performing properly. Skim through the suspension section of your vehicle model to see all those other parts that may need replaced. This is the front control arm with the upward facing ball-joint, commonly referred to as the "wishbone".

Elevate your BMW's handling dynamics without sacrificing the refined ride quality you enjoy every day. This upgrade kit utilizes the front control arms originally engineered for the E90 M3 and E82 1M, providing a sophisticated enhancement to your suspension geometry and overall steering precision. While many aftermarket performance options rely on harsh polyurethane or noisy heim-joint bushings that trade comfort for track-focused rigidity, these M3 components offer the ideal middle ground for a spirited daily driver. Unlike the factory Non-M control arms that utilize fluid-filled bushings prone to cracking and leaking over time, these high-performance replacements feature solid rubber bushings. This design significantly reduces control arm deflection and sharpens front-end feedback, ensuring your vehicle feels more planted and responsive during cornering. Sidem has refined this setup even further by reinforcing key areas of the original factory design, resulting in a more durable and reliable component that stands up to the rigors of the road while maintaining a smooth, factory-plus feel.

BMW G8X Front Lower Control Arms (FLCA) provide roll center, camber, and track width adjustment for the G8X BMW M3/M4, and allow for full articulation with the proper ball joint angle. The main arm is slotted to allow the use of pinch bolts, and our rotating clamps on SPL Parts' exclusive Double Adjuster lock down camber and track width settings. No more jam nuts!! Long gone are the days of fumbling with multiple wrenches to tighten jam nuts in place while trying to keep your bearings oriented correctly. The lower control arms come with a ride height sensor bracket to maintain factory ride height sensor location, regardless of length of the arm to keep those finicky BMW chassis electronics happy. Our Double Adjuster is machined from 4130 Chromoly; gun drilled to reduce weight, then electroless nickel plated for corrosion resistance. Blue Anodized Titanium hardware shaves even more unsprung weight from the arms without compromising strength. Stainless Steel spacers are provided to correct roll center for lowered vehicles. The use of FK Rod Ends and High Misalignment Spherical Bearings eliminates the flex and binding found in the OEM control arms, while allowing smooth articulation. Sold as a pair. Made in the USA!
