When it comes to serious performance driving, the stock BMW G2X radiator quickly shows its limits. Like many factory BMW cooling systems, it relies on molded plastic end tanks that are notorious for cracking and leaking over time. Additionally, its single-row, 34mm-thick core offers poor cooling capacity for high-horsepower or track-driven cars.

To address these shortcomings, ECS developed the ultimate cooling solution for the G2X B58 platforma High-Performance Aluminum Radiator designed, engineered, and tested by their in-house BMW specialists. Built to handle the increased thermal demands of high-horsepower builds and extended track sessions, this radiator delivers both unmatched durability and significantly improved heat dissipation.

Each unit features fully TIG-welded 6061-T6 aluminum end tanks, eliminating the weak points found in the OE design. Precision CNC-machined hose connections, flanges, and mounting brackets ensure a perfect drop-in fit with factory hoses, the fan shroud, and auxiliary components. No modifications required just direct performance.

At the heart of the design lies a dual-row, 42mm-thick core, increasing total coolant volume and surface area for improved heat transfer. Compared to the factorys 34mm single-row core, this upgrade translates to cooler operating temperatures and consistent performance under demanding conditions.

Features:

Full 6061-T6 aluminum construction eliminates plastic end tank failures Dual-row, 42mm performance core (45% thicker than OE) for increased cooling efficiency OE Radiator: Single-row, 34mm core ECS High Performance Aluminum Radiator: Dual-row, 42mm core TIG-welded aluminum end tanks for maximum strength and longevity Polished finish for a premium appearance CNC-machined fittings and brackets ensure seamless compatibility with factory hoses, transmission cooler lines, and condenser Direct-fit installation no cutting or modifications required Replaces OEM Part Numbers: 17118666740, 17115A30677

Maximize cooling efficiency and take your BMW’s performance to the next level with the ECS High Performance Cooling System Bundle—a complete, track-proven upgrade engineered to handle the extreme thermal demands of the G2X B58 platform. Developed by the enthusiasts at ECS Tuning, this system includes both the High Performance Aluminum Radiator and High Performance Aluminum Heat Exchanger, designed to deliver consistent, reliable temperature control in even the most demanding driving conditions.

The factory BMW cooling components just aren’t built for high-performance or track use. Both the OE radiator and heat exchanger feature weak plastic end tanks and undersized single-row cores—common failure points when exposed to elevated heat and pressure. ECS set out to solve these shortcomings with an all-aluminum, dual-row system designed for enthusiasts who demand more from their BMW. ECS engineers started by replacing the fragile plastic end tanks with TIG-welded 6061-T6 aluminum for unmatched durability. Each tank is precision-crafted with CNC-machined billet aluminum hose connections, flanges, and brackets, ensuring direct OE-style fitment with the factory hoses, fan shroud, and accessories—no cutting or modifications required.

Both the radiator and heat exchanger feature high-capacity, dual-row 42mm cores, a massive improvement over the factory’s 34mm and 25mm single-row designs. The result? Faster heat dissipation, lower intake air temperatures, and more consistent performance, whether you’re cruising or carving apexes.
