Turbo inlet pipes serve two very distinct, and differing, purposes. On one hand, the optimization of a turbo inlet pipe will encourage better turbo efficiency and responsiveness by allowing the turbo to ingest more air by way of an unobstructed and larger volume flow path. On the other, you have a more visceral benefit that some may argue is equally important than that of efficiency/flow optimization --- increased sound. No matter which of the distinct purposes is favored, Dinan will deliver on both. Regardless of application, a Dinan turbo inlet replaces the weak, and failure-prone, plastic factory inlet with a more robust carbon fiber one. CNC machined fittings are utilized to ensure proper fitment and guarantee installation as a direct replacement to the OEM inlet. Beyond material and fitment however are the improvements to the characteristics of the primary element in the system, the pipe itself. The stock turbo inlet has incorporated additional features (multiple in some cases) that introduce flow restrictions and turbulence while also reducing turbo noises. All of which are unwanted but easily rectified by removing the various resonators and enlarging (and optimizing) the path for a more uniform flow. The result is an inlet that delivers not only more air and allows the turbo to be more efficient (work less) but also provides the oft-desired amplification to the turbo induction soundtrack. Features: Increased turbo efficiency and reliability courtesy of maximum unimpeded and uniform airflow. Eliminates the factory sound resonator for increased turbo vocalization. 14% increase in overall volume over OEM inlet. Vargas has developed a solution to problematic PCV systems! Stock diaphragms on the gen-1 B58 Valve cover are fragile and can crack or tear over time. This can cause loss of crankcase vacuum and smoking. The VTT PCV cap replaces the factory plastic cap with a billet aluminum piece which uses a Billet Banjo fitting, and VTT's Vaccum/Boost adapter to move vacuum directly from the head ports to the manifold. This cap will also allow you to run a catch can on the low side if desired. VTT Recommends using this cap alongside their High Side Catch Can and crankcase breather for maximum efficiency. Vargas Turbo has released their very own BMW B58 vacuum/boost adapter. These go inline with the intake manifold fitting and provide a full boost/vacuum signal from the manifold. This fitting adds two 1/8" NPT bungs to accept any fitting that has 1/8" NPT threads. You can choose three configuration options: Fitting by itself Fitting with one 1/4" barb and one plug Fitting with two 1/4" barbs Once installed it tucks perfectly under your engine cover. These are perfect for running your PI switch off manifold pressure, which is much more accurate than the charge pipe, and they are also great for BOVs running the proper size line without having to drill a hole in your manifold. These do space out any sensors etc giving inaccurate readings like some of the other brands do.

They last longer than other materials with higher melting points, run cooler, resist preignition, and even require less voltage to produce a strong spark. The iridium electrode with its copper core is harder and stronger than other materials, can dissipate heat more easily, and is better protected from melting, cracking, and other limitations found with standard plugs. We start by keeping the great design elements of the factory B58 turbo and removing the not-so-great ones such as the small factory inlet area, bearing housing oil structure, thrust bearing, and anything else we saw that could be improved upon. With the basics covered, we stepped it up a level adding in proprietary VTT changes and finished off by having all these parts cast to OE quality. What this means for you is serious B58 power made easy; GC's are a drop in B58 turbocharger upgrade that supports over 600WHP while maintaining factory spool and all factory connections including oil, water, downpipe, and charge pipe. Key Design Elements: All new castings with factory restrictions removed. No oversized wheels stuffed into factory housings here! GC is cold side, and bearing housing only Full 3' turbocharger inlet size with an included 3-4' silicone inlet elbow that removes ALL factory inlet restrictions 9-blade Mar-M 246 turbine wheel with the latest aero technology for increased flow while maximizing spool 9 blade “point-milled” compressor wheels with the latest aero technology to maximize flow while virtually eliminating surge Direct connection to ALL factory lines including oil, water, downpipe, and factory charge pipe Redesigned, and improved internal components including bearing housing oiling, and an upgraded thrust bearing NO CORE CHARGES. The GC, GC-MID, and GC+ Come with a silicone intake tube, that will fit the stock airbox, and SOME intakes with no mods. It does not fit all, such as Injen, etc. If this is the case, you can either modify something work, or you can add the VTT MAF housing, and filter which will work with the GC inlet hose. Please be aware. This system removes the PTC heater, and it WILL register a shadow code in the DME. In our testing, this did NOT throw a check engine light. The code is only there if your scan the car. If you wish to remove the code it must be coded out.
