Any time you use a wheel spacer you MUST have a longer wheel bolt or wheel stud to properly fasten the wheel to the hub. We offer extended wheel spacer bolts in silver and black finish in a variety of lengths to fit many spacer sizes. We're up to date on the different thread sizing as well - 12x1.5, 14x1.25, and 14x1.5 so we can supply wheel bolts for just about any BMW or MINI.

Add the spacer thickness to your stock bolt length and that is your ideal extended bolt length. We generally sell bolts by spacer thickness but there may be exceptions. It's always best to measure from the wheel bolt you're currently using. When we list the total length of a bolt it's from the base of the mounting seat to the tip. To be considered safe, a 12x1.5 wheel bolt needs 10mm (6.5 turns) of thread engaged; a 14x1.25 or 14x1.5 bolt needs 12mm (9.0 and 7.5 turns) of engaged thread.

Wheel studs are among the safest and most beneficial upgrades you can make on a track car. Not only are wheel studs safer than wheel bolts but they make changing wheels/tires much easier. One of the frustrating things about installing your wheels on the hub is that it's difficult to line up the wheel on the bolt holes. As wheels get larger but also heavier it's even more trouble. Add in a wheel spacer and the task is twice as hard. BMW does produce a wheel alignment pin for this purpose but if you're changing wheels often a stud conversion is the better way to go. Our original bullet nose studs are available in 78mm and 90mm overall lengths. The 78mm works great for cars that do not use a spacer (or a spacer smaller than 15mm). We recommend the 90mm length for cars that have a spacer larger than 15mm. These studs come with a black magnesium phosphate coating for excellent corrosion resistance. These studs are perfect for dual-purpose street/track cars. The studs are stronger and safer than wheel bolts and have a barrier against corrosion which makes them suitable for street use. For a dedicated race or track car, where wheel changes or pit stops are more frequent, check out our racing dry lube studs. Our studs are also designed and manufactured with the properly sized shank to work with a wider range of BMW wheel, nut, and brake rotor combinations. We intentionally avoid the extra large shoulders you see on other studs because they can interfere with some brake rotor hats. The extra-large shoulder can be too large to allow the rotor to pass through and drilling out the holes is required (not cool!) Our studs have the sufficient shank for the brake rotor without interfering.

The E-Z Chamfer deburring tool, constructed from High Speed Steel (HSS), is designed to eliminate burrs and ridges from threaded rods, bolts, pipes, and bar stock. Its size range of 0.7” – 1.5” (18-38mm) allows efficient removal of threads and burrs, creating a smooth chamfer for effortless nut and die insertion. Compatible with mild, hard, very hard, stainless, and super hard steels, it delivers optimal results when used with slow drill speeds and moderate pressure on most materials. To extend the tool's lifespan, it's advisable to operate at speeds below 800RPM and refrain from using impact drivers. Typically, only 1-3 threads need chamfering for a clean start.

Additionally, E-Z Chamfer sizes between 18-24mm require a speed of 600RPM, those ranging from 23-29mm perform optimally at 400RPM, and sizes from 30-38mm are best suited for a speed of 300RPM.

These wheel studs are the same as our hugely popular Bullet Nose studs but with threads along the full length of the stud. This gives you more threaded area for tightening wheel nuts or allows the use of a closed-end wheel nut. These also have a more OEM appearance. Although these are a lower cost version of our Bullet Nose studs, they are every bit as strong, durable, and safe. The Bullet Nose is an upgrade because it's easier to install and almost impossible to cross-thread a nut.

Not all wheel studs are created equal. We don't take a manufacturer's generic wheel stud from their catalog and call it our own. Turner Wheel Studs are designed to our own specifications and manufactured for us exclusively. Beware of cheaper studs on the market! We have seen other studs similar to our own designs that are not a true BMW fitment. There are differences that we have ironed out over our years of selling wheel studs for the BMW market. Threadlocker is essential when doing any work to your car, especially prepping it for the track. Loose bolts should never happen! If you are a do-it-youselfer, or do much wrench turning, then you know about threadlocker (generically known as "locktite" or by the brand name Loctite). You also know a little goes a long way. This small bottle of Palm Labs Turbo-Lock red threadlock is perfect for that small job -- or a few small jobs! This tube has 10 mL (0.34 fluid ounces) of high-temp, high-strength threadlocker. This bottle comes with two ways to apply: with a squeeze or with the included brush. There are just too many different uses for this, and no mechanic or DIYer, should be without some in his or her toolbox.

Red or Blue threadlocker? Red is the highest strength so use it when the fastener will not be removed regularly or ever again. The Red will need a great amount of force to break free and maybe even heat. Blue is the medium strength and will break free with hand tools. Use it for fasteners that need extra locking protection but will be removed / disassmebled on a semi-regular basis.

You have to ensure that enough of the stud is sticking out from the hub to fit with: your brake rotor hat and wheel thickness, plus at least 10mm of nut engagement.
