Factory BMW timing chain guides are made of plastic and can break with age. Many times this will cause excess noise, or rattling. Turner has genuine BMW and high quality aftermarket options that will have your chain running smoothly and quietly again.
This guide is used to provide tension to the timing chain, but it wears over time. These plastic tensioners also become brittle with time and mileage, usually cracking and/or breaking completely. A common sign of worn timing chain components is noise from the timing chain area.
