BMW fuel pumps run at a very high pressure in order to properly supply the injectors with fuel. A failed pump will allow the car to crank, but wont kick over. Turner Motorsports carries Genuine BMW pumps that will have you back on the road in no time.
Adjust your fuel pressure as needed. Thanks to the 1:1 boost reference, fuel pressure will increase as boost pressure increases, ensuring fuel delivery remains optimal under all conditions.
Fuel pumps unfortunately tend to go without warning, and when they do its always seems to be when you least expected it and in the most inconvenient places. If your vehicle is of higher mileage, ECS Tuning recommends replacing the fuel pump right away (typically around 80,000 or so), before the fuel pump fails and your left stranded on the side of the road.
