An easy way to improve the performance of your N54 powered BMW is by removing the stock air box and swapping in this Dual Cone Intake "DCI" from Burger Motorsports. Featuring two S&B inverted cone filters with adapter couplers and new hardware, these easily install into the stock box location, allowing for greatly improved intake air flow. This is great for both stock and modified vehicles, as this allows for greater air flow at all RPMs and removes the air restriction that would normally rob your engine of power.

The fuel pump is held into the tank with a retaining lock ring. Most people would take an extension or punch and tap out the ring with a hammer. But that's the wrong way to do it. You could damage the lock ring, or worse, the tank itself. This handy tool is toothed to match the lock ring and takes a standard 1/2 drive ratchet or small extension. Please note: We include 5 quarts of DCT fluid because without a GT1 diagnostic tool and much more involved labor, you will not be able to replace over 5 quarts of fluid. Both the cartridge and suction filters have their own challenges in replacing. For best results, replace both.
