Ohlins Racing has a long history dating back to 1976 of providing premium motorcycle and automotive suspension systems to numerous racing teams, individual racers, and OE brands such as BMW Motorsport, Audi, Lamborghini. Pagani, Ducati and Kawasaki. Over time, thanks to extensive R&D, testing, and tuning, their products have evolved into some of the highest quality suspension systems in the world, providing years of flawless operation on both the street and the track.

Ohlins' latest automotive suspension system, the DFV (Dual Flow Valve) Road and Track Coilover Kit, has bridged the gap between comfortable stock suspension and track focused coilover kits. These kits provide a ride that glides over typical bumps and dips in the road, all without the typical hard rattle and harsh feel of usual coilovers, and turn in tight and maintain tire grip and traction in corners significantly better than stock suspension ever could. This is all thanks to the spring rate chosen and Ohlins and their signature Dual Flow Valve. The DFV maintains comfort and agility by giving the same characteristics for both rebound and compression, allowing the wheel and tire to maintain constant contact with the road/track for maximum control.

The Dual Flow Valve works by controlling shock fluid flow based on resistance and impact velocity. This is controlled in both compression and rebound, giving the quick shock operation that helps maintain traction. At low shaft travel speeds, oil flows mostly through the shaft jet bleed. At higher shaft speeds, oil flows mostly through the compression/rebound ports in the piston. At very high shaft speeds, or during sudden accelerations from potholes or large bumps in the road, oil can then escape through the ports in the DFV, absorbing a large amount of energy that would otherwise throw off the balance and control of the vehicle and keeping the tire planted firmly on the ground. With all three compression and rebound ports working together according to pressure and shaft speed, the result is the notorious premium suspension feel that only Ohlins can offer.

In addition to managing the rebound and compression control, coilovers must also properly address heat changes in the shock oil. As the shock is pushed harder and longer, the oil quickly heats up due to friction and compression, and the oils flow characteristics change. The hotter the oil is, the easier it is for it to travel through ports and valves. To prevent this typical fade in control, Ohlins has implemented a temperature controlled needle bleed valve system that will expand as temperatures rise, slowly increasing restriction in the fluids flow through the valve gap. This produces a consistent dampening rate that maintains the vehicle's suspension characteristics lap after lap, turn after turn, no matter how hard you push your suspension's capabilities.

Features:

  • DFV (Dual Flow Valve)
  • Adjustable ride-height
  • Fully rebuildable
  • Corrosion salt spray tested (ISO 9227)
  • Includes hardware and installation instructions
  • 2 year Limited Warranty

Specs:

  • Front Spring Rating: 343 lbs/in  ( 6 kg/mm)
  • Rear Spring Rating: 686 lbs/in  ( 12 kg/mm)

*Now available are optional EDC Cancellation Modules that will prevent any lights or issues with suspension control systems. Turner Motorsport recommends purchasing these in addition to the suspension kit to get the most out of your Ohlins suspension system.

Differential bushings are responsible for keeping the differential in solid alignment while dampening drivetrain vibration. While OE rubber bushings are fine when they are new from the factory, aged and worn out rubber bushings create a multitude of issues that can range from annoying to dangerous. As a factory bushing ages, it begins to harden and become brittle. When this happens the bushing will actually shrink and allow for movement at the differential mounting point. At this point, the differential is free to shift under load causing a noticeable clunking noise under acceleration and deceleration and massively increasing the stress on the driveshaft and axles. Manual transmissions suffer the worst from this as it can make shifting difficult since the differential will shift when the clutch is engaged and disengaged.

By replacing these bushings with full polyurethane, the movement is eliminated since the mounting point is supported by a much stiffer material that will not harden or shrink over time. This means less stress on the driveshaft and axles and greater longevity of supporting components.

Engineered to perform, Powerflex performance polyurethane differential bushings offer a supreme level of control, while still providing enough comfort for the street, with advanced polyurethane that reduces NVH that often accompanies lesser bushings. Expect improved acceleration response, more direct shifting feel and overall improved drivetrain composure with Powerflex performance polyurethane bushings.

Poweflex is a leading manufacturer of aftermarket suspension bushings. Using state of the art design and manufacturing, all replacement bushings are engineered to out-perform and out-last the ones that came in the car. Each line of bushings is meticulously tested and then re-tested to ensure perfect fitment and enduring quality through the life of the vehicle. A full lifetime warranty backs every one of their products and demonstrates the level of confidence and commitment Powerflex has to their customers.

Sway bars transmit cornering forces from the outside wheels to the inside wheels, helping to keep the vehicle flat during cornering. This in turn reduces body roll and improves the driver's cornering confidence. OEM rubber sway bar bushings are designed with comfort in mind, allowing the sway bar to articulate while permitting additional movement, leading to less-than-ideal bar retention and causes unnecessary body roll.

Powerflex polyurethane sway bar bushings are firmer than factory rubber bushings, reducing body roll and keeping sway bars in check. Polyurethane bushings won't slop around like OEM bushings, allowing sway bars to function at their fullest potential.

Replacing your struts and shocks? Don't forget the bushings! The rubber mounts for the shocks will go bad over time, especially if you drive hard or the roads are particularly rough. The shock mounts locate the front struts and rear shocks to the car - providing a quiet and vibration-free buffer between the road and the cabin. Shock mounts and bushings can wear out just like any other rubber part on the car. This leads to more noise and harshness reaching the chassis and may complicate your new suspension install. When installing new shocks, that is the perfect time to also replace the mounts. There is no additional time to install them, no special tools required, and doesn't take any extra time! If you re-use the original mounts you have the risk of them failing before your next shock replacement, doubling your labor costs.

Included in the E82 1-series Mount Kit:
  • front upper strut mounts (also known as a guide support), 31306775098
  • A. rear upper-top shock mounts, 33506771737
  • B. rear upper-middle shock mounts, 33506767010
  • C. rear upper-bottom shock mounts, 33506771738
  • D. rear upper supporting cup, 33526764418 (sits over bumpstop)
  • rear lower shock mount (installs on spring arm), 33526768544

Tasked with keeping the vehicles rear end firmly mounted while absorbing noise, vibration, and harshness (NVH) factory rubber subframe bushings were engineered to provide a balance of control while keeping the ride quality soft and supple. As a factory bushings age, they become brittle and begin to harden. When this happens the bushing will actually shrink and allow excess play, or movement in the subframe. This is typically felt by a sudden jerk or "thunking" noise under acceleration and is a leading cause of "sloppy" or "loose" suspension feel. By replacing the bushings with full polyurethane this play is eliminated since the subframe is being held in place by a much stiffer material that will not harden or shrink over time. Additionally, the inherent stiffness of the urethane material translates body forces much more directly. This means steering and acceleration inputs from the driver are effectively transferred to the wheels and vital road information is transmitted properly from the wheels to the driver.

Powerflex street bushings are ideal for street driven vehicles and those that see occasional autocross or track time. Need bushings for a dedicated track car? Powerflex Black Series bushings are the ultimate in track and race bushings. Featuring 95A durometer polyurethane, Black Series bushings are 25% stiffer than street bushings. Engineered to perform, Powerflex performance polyurethane bushings offer a supreme level of control, while still providing enough comfort for the street, with advanced polyurethane that reduces NVH that often accompanies lesser bushings. Expect improved steering feel, turn in, more responsive handling and overall improved chassis composure with Powerflex performance polyurethane control arm bushings.

Control arm bushings play a key role in connecting the wheels to the chassis of the vehicle. Tasked with keeping suspension geometry in check while absorbing noise, vibration, and harshness (NVH) factory rubber bushings were engineered to provide a balance of comfort and control. As a factory bushing ages, it becomes brittle and begins to harden. When this happens the bushing will actually shrink and allow excess play in the suspension joint. This is typically felt by a sudden jerk forward after the car comes to a stop and is a leading cause of "sloppy" or "loose" suspension feel. By replacing the bushing with a full polyurethane unit or using a bushing insert, this play is eliminated since the suspension joint is being supported by a much stiffer material that will not harden or shrink over time. Additionally, the inherent stiffness of the urethane material translates body forces much more directly. Powerflex's new Rear Lower Shock Mounting Bushing and Bracket kit offers a stout lower anchor for even the most radical motorsport-derived shocks and coilovers. Powerflex has utilized its proprietary 80A Performance and 95A Black Series durometers to better serve customers who expect tailored stiffnesses depending on vehicle use and NVH tolerance. These new bushings also feature CNC-machined 6082 aluminum brackets that help enhance longevity and weight reduction when compared with cheaper imitations. NOTE: 80A durometer bushings are intended for both street and track use and will result in a slight increase in NVH versus stock rubber bushings.

This right/passenger's front upper control arm - also know as a tension strut or thrust arm. This is the control arm with the outer ball joint pointing down. This is the OE BMW replacement (made by TRW) and fits E82 1M Coupe and E90/E92/E93 M3. This control arm includes the inner pressed in bushing and outer ball joint. A direct replacement from the original manufacturer.

This part can also be used as an upgrade on non-M E82, E9X, and E89 Z4 models. The inner bushing on the M3 arm is a solid rubber instead of the fluid-filled non-M design.

As Used on Project E92 335i
These M3 rear guide rod arms are an upgrade for the non-M cars. The stock non-M arms are made from sheetmetal spot welded together at the ends. The arm tends to flex and bend under even moderate cornering loads. Factor in gripper tires and more torque and this arm is inadequate for stability and consistent handling. The M3 arms are one piece of aluminum offering greater strength and with a sealed monoball inner bushing that allows the arm to rotate (instead of twisting).

Upgrade Your Ride with Powerflex Subframe Bushings Subframe bushings are the unsung heroes that keep your subframe snugly attached to the chassis of your ride. The stock rubber bushings that come with your car are a bit of a compromise. They aim to give you a smooth, comfy ride while still providing some decent handling. But here's where Powerflex steps in with their polyurethane subframe bushings. These babies are a bit firmer than your run-of-the-mill OEM bushings. What does that mean for you? Well, it translates to better handling, a more solid rear end (not what you're thinking), and a suspension that can flex its muscles without ruining your smooth ride. Powerflex is the go-to suspension bushing champ over in Europe. They know their stuff when it comes to polyurethane, and their high-tech manufacturing game is on point. They're all about making performance bushings that fit your ride like a glove. Plus, these are built to last longer than your typical rubber bushings while giving your BMW E9X 3 Series performance a kick in the rear (in a good way). Now, here's a pro tip for you: when you're installing these bad boys, it's a good idea to have some Powerflex Copper Grease PCG1 on hand. It'll make your life easier during the installation process. A bit of reapplication of that grease can keep those squeaks at bay and make your bushings last longer. So, what's the deal with different flavors of bushings, you ask? Well, if your ride is mainly hitting the streets with the occasional autocross or track day thrown in for fun, the Powerflex street bushings are your jam. But if you're building a track monster, then feast your eyes on the Powerflex Black Series. These beasts are 25% stiffer than the street version, ready to handle the extremes of track and race conditions. And here's the cherry on top: Powerflex stands by its products. They're so confident that they offer a lifetime warranty to the original buyer on all their gear. That's some serious peace of mind right there. So, whether you're looking to improve your ride's handling, reduce those squeaks, or amp up your track beast, Powerflex subframe bushings are the way to go. Your ride will thank you for it, and you'll be grinning behind the wheel. OE / OEM Cross Reference Numbers: 33316768645

These poly inserts provide the inherent benefit of stiffness, which translates body forces much more directly.

Engineered to perform, Powerflex performance polyurethane bushings offer a supreme level of control, while still providing enough comfort for the street, with advanced polyurethane that reduces NVH that often accompanies lesser bushings. Expect improved steering feel, turn in, more responsive handling and overall improved chassis composure with Powerflex performance polyurethane control arm bushings.

This means steering inputs from the driver are effectively transferred to the wheels and vital road information is transmitted properly from the wheels to the driver.

Engineered to perform, Powerflex performance polyurethane control arm bushings offer a supreme level of control, while still providing enough comfort for the street, with advanced polyurethane that reduces NVH that often accompanies lesser bushings. Expect improved steering feel, turn in, more responsive handling and overall improved chassis composure with Powerflex performance polyurethane control arm bushings.

These poly inserts provide the inherent benefit of stiffness, which translates body forces much more directly. This means steering and acceleration inputs from the driver are effectively transferred to the wheels and vital road information is transmitted properly from the wheels to the driver.

When an E9X is lowered beyond the limits of just lowering springs, the rear wheels toe-in excessively. This excessive rear toe leads to premature wear, that many people attribute to an increase in negative camber. It has become a common belief that an extremely low vehicle will wear the tires wrong as a matter of consequence. It has become standard practice to go as low as you can and proceed to replace your tires every five to ten thousand miles. Whats more is that when the vehicle reaches a certain ride height, the factory arms become maxed out and there is no way to compensate and dial in the proper toe. You're left with an improperly aligned vehicle that is in effect worse off than it was with the stock suspension installed.

This is not only uneconomical but improper and unsafe. ECS Tuning is proud to offer a solution for this problem in the form of Rogue Engineering E9X adjustable rear toe arms. These arms allow for greater toe adjustment on vehicles that have been lowered with a coilover suspension. With the toe set properly the tires can contact the road properly this maximizes grip and minimizes wear.

    Features:

    • 100% machined and anodized, 6061-T6 lightweight aluminum arms
    • High-strength, 3-piece, rod end (with carbon fiber reinforced, PTFE race) offers longer life for street compared to standard rod ends
    • SEALS-IT Rod end seals keep dirt, water, and other contaminants out
    • Rod ends feature grease fittings, to allow for rod end serviceability.
    • Lighter than stock!  (Stock is 875g, RE arms are 640g)
    • Extremely easy installation and adjustment (your alignment shop will LOVE you!)

This package of OEM E82 E90 E92 diff mounts replaces the stock rubber diff bushings. On a tuned 335i you may have noticed more driveline shudder or problems hooking up during hard launches. What happens is the stock rubber bushings are under constant flex as engine torque is transmitted through the differential. Under normal driving with a stock car the bushings are rarely stressed. But factor in significant additional torque from a tuned N54/N55 and the stock rubber will quickly show its weaknesses. You may have even broken a diff bolt or two as the heavy differential shifts around. Even non-turbo E82 and E9X models may benefit from fresh bushings.

This is a set of stock rubber bushings, made by OEM supplier Lemforder. They are the same as the Genuine BMW E9X diff mount bushings, but without the more expensive branding. If you're turned off by potential side effects of urethane or Delrin then the OEM diff mounts are your best option. The OEM mounts fit and perform just like the originals so there is no second guessing their quality. If you're looking for an upgrade we offer E9X solid Delrin and aluminum diff mounts that work well, even in street applications.

    E9X Diff Mount Set includes:

    • 33176760287 x 2, front differential mount
    • 33176770866 x 1, rear differential mount
    • (new hardware is optional and can be ordered separately below)
