Replacing your struts and shocks? Don't forget the bushings! The rubber mounts for the shocks will go bad over time, especially if you drive hard or the roads are particularly rough. The shock mounts locate the front struts and rear shocks to the car - providing a quiet and vibration-free buffer between the road and the cabin. Shock mounts and bushings can wear out just like any other rubber part on the car. This leads to more noise and harshness reaching the chassis and may complicate your new suspension install. When installing new shocks, that is the perfect time to also replace the mounts. There is no additional time to install them, no special tools required, and doesn't take any extra time! If you re-use the original mounts you have the risk of them failing before your next shock replacement, doubling your labor costs.

Included in the E82 1-series Mount Kit:
  • front upper strut mounts (also known as a guide support), 31306775098
  • A. rear upper-top shock mounts, 33506771737
  • B. rear upper-middle shock mounts, 33506767010
  • C. rear upper-bottom shock mounts, 33506771738
  • D. rear upper supporting cup, 33526764418 (sits over bumpstop)
  • rear lower shock mount (installs on spring arm), 33526768544

Rear shock mounts are tasked with securing shocks while absorbing noise, vibration and harshness that would otherwise be associated with a solid mount. Factory rubber bushings are a compromise between a cushy ride and responsive handling.

Powerflex polyurethane rear shock mounts are firmer than OEM bushings, resulting in better handling, a more responsive rear-end, and more efficient suspension articulation - all with minimal sacrifice to ride quality.

Poweflex is a leading manufacturer of aftermarket suspension bushings. Using state of the art design and manufacturing, all replacement bushings are engineered to out-perform and out-last the ones that came in the car. Each line of bushings is meticulously tested and then re-tested to ensure perfect fitment and enduring quality through the life of the vehicle. A full lifetime warranty backs every one of their products and demonstrates the level of confidence and commitment Powerflex has to their customers.

Negative Camber Adjustment: Adds approximately 0.75 degrees of negative camber to the front, enhancing cornering grip and stability. Complete Kit: Includes all four M3-specific lower control arms with mounting hardware. M3 Headlight Leveling Rod: Necessary for proper installation, ensuring your headlights are correctly aligned. Important Note for Z4 Models: For Z4 owners, please be aware that the M3 headlight level sensor rod is positioned differently. Sway bars transmit cornering forces from the outside wheels to the inside wheels, helping to keep the vehicle flat during cornering. This, in turn, reduces body roll and improves the driver's cornering confidence. OEM rubber sway bar bushings are designed with comfort in mind, allowing the sway bar to articulate while permitting additional movement, leading to less-than-ideal bar retention and causes unnecessary body roll.

Powerflex polyurethane sway bar bushings are firmer than factory rubber bushings, reducing body roll and keeping sway bars in check. Polyurethane bushings won't slop around like OEM bushings, allowing sway bars to function at their fullest potential.

Control arm bushings play a key role in connecting the wheels to the chassis of the vehicle. Tasked with keeping suspension geometry in check while absorbing noise, vibration, and harshness (NVH) factory rubber bushings were engineered to provide a balance of comfort and control. As a factory bushing ages, it becomes brittle and begins to harden. When this happens the bushing will actually shrink and allow excess play in the suspension joint. This is typically felt by a sudden jerk forward after the car comes to a stop and is a leading cause of "sloppy" or "loose" suspension feel. By replacing the bushing with a full polyurethane unit or using a bushing insert, this play is eliminated since the suspension joint is being supported by a much stiffer material that will not harden or shrink over time. Additionally, the inherent stiffness of the urethane material translates body forces much more directly. This means steering inputs from the driver are effectively transferred to the wheels and vital road information is transmitted properly from the wheels to the driver.

Powerflex Black Series bushings are the ultimate in track and race bushings. Featuring 95A durometer polyurethane, Black Series bushings are 25% stiffer than street bushings. Engineered to perform, Powerflex performance polyurethane control arm bushings offer a supreme level of control, while still providing enough comfort for the street, with advanced polyurethane that reduces NVH that often accompanies lesser bushings. Expect improved steering feel, turn in, more responsive handling and overall improved chassis composure with Powerflex performance polyurethane control arm bushings.

This right/passenger's front upper control arm - also know as a tension strut or thrust arm. This is the control arm with the outer ball joint pointing down. This is the OE BMW replacement (made by TRW) and fits E82 1M Coupe and E90/E92/E93 M3. This control arm includes the inner pressed in bushing and outer ball joint. A direct replacement from the original manufacturer.

This part can also be used as an upgrade on non-M E82, E9X, and E89 Z4 models. The inner bushing on the M3 arm is a solid rubber instead of the fluid-filled non-M design. This solid rubber part will last longer and be more responsive thanks to less deflection in the bushing. The M3 arm is a direct replacement for the stock non-M part.

Differential bushings are responsible for keeping the differential in solid alignment while dampening drivetrain vibration. While OE rubber bushings are fine when they are new from the factory, aged and worn out rubber bushings create a multitude of issues that can range from annoying to dangerous. As a factory bushing ages, it begins to harden and become brittle. When this happens the bushing will actually shrink and allow for movement at the differential mounting point. At this point, the differential is free to shift under load causing a noticeable clunking noise under acceleration and deceleration and massively increasing the stress on the driveshaft and axles. Manual transmissions suffer the worst from this as it can make shifting difficult since the differential will shift when the clutch is engaged and disengaged.

By replacing these bushings with full polyurethane, the movement is eliminated since the mounting point is supported by a much stiffer material that will not harden or shrink over time. This means less stress on the driveshaft and axles and greater longevity of supporting components.

Expect improved acceleration response, more direct shifting feel and overall improved drivetrain composure with Powerflex performance polyurethane bushings.

Raises front of the rear subframe giving additional anti-squat similar to the M range. For standard subframe location use PFR5-420. Tasked with keeping the vehicles rear end firmly mounted while absorbing noise, vibration, and harshness (NVH) factory rubber subframe bushings were engineered to provide a balance of control while keeping the ride quality soft and supple. As a factory bushings age, they become brittle and begin to harden. When this happens the bushing will actually shrink and allow excess play, or movement in the subframe. This is typically felt by a sudden jerk or "thunking" noise under acceleration and is a leading cause of "sloppy" or "loose" suspension feel. By replacing the bushings with full polyurethane this play is eliminated since the subframe is being held in place by a much stiffer material that will not harden or shrink over time. Additionally, the inherent stiffness of the urethane material translates body forces much more directly. This means steering and acceleration inputs from the driver are effectively transferred to the wheels and vital road information is transmitted properly from the wheels to the driver. Powerflex street bushings are ideal for street driven vehicles and those that see occasional autocross or track time. Need bushings for a dedicated track car? Powerflex Black Series bushings are the ultimate in track and race bushings. Featuring 95A durometer polyurethane, Black Series bushings are 25% stiffer than street bushings. Engineered to perform, Powerflex performance polyurethane bushings offer a supreme level of control, while still providing enough comfort for the street, with advanced polyurethane that reduces NVH that often accompanies lesser bushings. Expect improved steering feel, turn in, more responsive handling and overall improved chassis composure with Powerflex performance polyurethane control arm bushings.

These M3 rear guide rod arms are an upgrade for the non-M cars. The stock non-M arms are made from sheetmetal spot welded together at the ends. The arm tends to flex and bend under even moderate cornering loads. Factor in gripper tires and more torque and this arm is inadequate for stability and consistent handling. The M3 arms are one piece of aluminum offering greater strength and with a sealed monoball inner bushing that allows the arm to rotate (instead of twisting).

    This package includes:

    • Left M3 Guide Rod - 33322283547

The E82 and E90/E92 subframes have an inherent weakness in the rear subframe - the mounts are too soft for the power and torque these cars are capable of. The subframe is the heart of a BMW's rear suspension. As torque is transmitted through the differential and axles and as the tires grip the road, the subframe mounts are working to keeping everything in line. That's a tough task to hold when torque is increased with bigger boost (335i) or even mild tweaks (M3). While the M3 subframe mounts are a great upgrade for the non-M chassis these factory BMW Motorsport subframe mounts go one step further.

These Motorsport/Group N rear subframe bushings are a direct replacement upgrade over the stock mounts. They are rubber to conform to the rules of the Group N racing class - so they are still acceptable for street use as long as extra ride harshness can be tolerated. The rear subframe has to come down from the car for these mounts to be pressed in. So now is the perfect time to do other work as well - check out our other Motorsport Race bushings or M3 upgrades.

Price is for the set of 4 mounts.

If the subframe bushings are worn, the transfer of power to the ground can be greatly compromised.

Expect improved acceleration response, more direct shifting feel and overall improved drivetrain composure with Powerflex performance polyurethane bushings.

This package of OEM E82 E90 E92 diff mounts replaces the stock rubber diff bushings. On a tuned 335i you may have noticed more driveline shudder or problems hooking up during hard launches. What happens is the stock rubber bushings are under constant flex as engine torque is transmitted through the differential. Under normal driving with a stock car the bushings are rarely stressed. But factor in significant additional torque from a tuned N54/N55 and the stock rubber will quickly show its weaknesses. You may have even broken a diff bolt or two as the heavy differential shifts around. Even non-turbo E82 and E9X models may benefit from fresh bushings.

This is a set of stock rubber bushings, made by OEM supplier Lemforder. They are the same as the Genuine BMW E9X diff mount bushings, but without the more expensive branding. If you're turned off by potential side effects of urethane or Delrin then the OEM diff mounts are your best option. The OEM mounts fit and perform just like the originals so there is no second guessing their quality. If you're looking for an upgrade we offer E9X solid Delrin and aluminum diff mounts that work well, even in street applications.

    E9X Diff Mount Set includes:

    • 33176760287 x 2, front differential mount
    • 33176770866 x 1, rear differential mount
    • (new hardware is optional and can be ordered separately below)

These are the factory BMW Motorsport Group N high performance front upper control arm bushings. These heavy duty rubber bushings are stiffer than the stock bushings to improve steering feel and improve handling. They are great for track use - and Grand Am Cup legal! - yet can also be used on a street driven car - please note these will not be as compliant as the stock rubber bushings. These are for the control arm with the ball joint pointing down, sometimes referred to as the thrust arm or tension strut.

Price is for the pair of bushings.

These control arms are much sturdier than your factory units and feature much stiffer bushings and ball joints. Not only does this kit give you an extremely effective upgrade, it's the perfect excuse to get rid of your factory arms that are at the edge of being road worthy. Not sure about ECS Tuning's Upgraded Trailing arm? Let us explain... Factory steel rear trailing arms flex, causing undesired suspension geometry changes under load. BMW engineered a failure point into this stock arm - metal fatigue combined with shock forces from a pothole or curb, have been shown in some cases to cause the arm to buckle, turning a pleasant drive into a visit by roadside assistance. ECS Tuning's Performance Rear Trailing Arm Set is an upgrade that has been engineered to address these issues, while also being lighter and more attractive than the factory steel component. Elimination of a factory-designed failure point and an all-around stiffer design mean greater peace of mind as well as more confident handling with no unintended geometry changes. Combined with new M3/1M front and rear control arms for the ideal suspension set-up for your car.
