When crafting the ECS exhaust systems, their primary focus is on achieving the perfect balance of sound and comfort. There is something about a cat-back exhaust that is just so good. Being able to unbolt and replace the entire visible exhaust gives you butterflies in your stomach. A fresh new exhaust and just knowing that things are about to get rowdy. This exhaust features twin 2.5" brushed pipes with flanges that bolt directly to your factory and aftermarket down-pipes. The dual 2.5" mid-pipes make their way toward the rear axle and converge into a single 3" exhaust section. The 3" exhaust section snakes through the rear section of the car making smooth dips and curves to make its way into a light-weight 3" turbo style muffler. Don't be fooled by the 135 muffler, the size is nothing but deceiving. The turbo-style muffler features an inner design that refines the exhaust note to perfection. An extraordinary mixture of both tone and volume. Paired with the 3" muffler is your choice of 3.5" exhaust tips that give your rear diffuser a sporty look that shouts performance.

Although both N54 and N55 share identical exhaust geometry, the N55 mid-pipes do not feature secondaries. Though the N55 cat-back is compatible with N54 downpipes this is not suggested. Supposedly this N55 catback sounds absolutely glorious on an N54, even with aftermarket downpipes.

Amongst the limited options available for the 1 Series, the engineers at ECS have risen to the challenge of providing aftermarket support for these perfectly sized vehicles.

The diffuser replaces the mundane factory M Sport diffuser with a perfectly fitting alternative, designed to enhance the rear end of the 1 Series. Using the existing factory hardware and tab mounting locations, a transformation is merely a few screws and a plastic trim tool away. During the prototype phase, an impressive fit and finish were achieved, but their commitment to excellence led them to make further refinements. With the updated design, the ECS diffuser is now polished to perfection, an indication of the craftsmanship invested in each product.

Installation is a breeze, requiring no drilling, cutting, or modifications of any kind. Simply remove the current valance, align the tabs, and effortlessly secure the diffuser in place using the factory mounting locations and hardware. Ensure a snug fit by verifying the alignment of all tabs, and with a gentle press, witness the tabs seamlessly click into position.

This exhaust gasket is used to seal the exhaust midpipes to the downpipes. We also recommend replacing the bolts (11621711954, 4 required) as well.
