The intake boot is a regular issue especially for BMW's, nearly all vehicles have a boot manufactured from rubber with an accordion section in the design for flexibility. This flexible section is typically where the failure comes from, leading to vacuum leak engine codes, rough idle, and increase fuel consumption.
When you upgrade to a Turner silicone intake boot you get a perfect fit that will not only outlast the OE design (meaning any vacuum leaks and rough idle), while also smoothing out airflow within the intake tract. This boot also eliminates the factory intake resonator giving your engine a much more aggressive sound under the hood especially at higher rpm. Available in black or Turner blue color, our intake boot offers either a pop of color or a cohesive, complementary look in your engine bay.
The Turner Motorsport silicone intake boot is manufactured with 5 layers of wire reinforced silicone to prevent collapse under load. Engineered in-house utilizing 3D scanning technology, this boot offers perfect fitment with the factory air box and either single stage or three stage (high output N52) intake manifolds.
Install as a standalone reliability improvement or in addition to our three stage intake manifold and Turner performance tune (available here).

Full carbon fiber intake to increase flow, performance and aesthetics! Dual inlet design for maximized air flow while retaining the OEM+ fitment.
The most common N55 intake utilizes a short plastic tube and oversized cone filter; it is your job to have better taste than the common N55 owner. This carbon intake changes the whole image of the N55 engine while maintaining a flow of cool air and added induction noise. With a dual inlet design the engine bay retains its functionality while adding a second inlet to provide your engine with improved air flow and sound. To ensure the engine gets the coolest air possible the second inlet is located in the "sweet spot" on the cold side of the engine for the lowest intake air temps and most air flow possible. The cone filter features a bellmouth velocity stack filter that creates the satisfying flutter after letting of the throttle.
Our Turner Carbon Fiber Intakes start with a 3D scan of the factory intake and engine bay. Engineers use the 3D imaging of the chassis to design the intake in SolidWorks modeling software. Using a Flow Bench, the Intake is then airflow tested against the factory intake, to ensure optimal airflow improvement against stock. The final product is a beautiful and functional Carbon Fiber Intake, CAD designed for perfect integration with the OEM inlet ducting and stock mounting locations and proven to flow better than factory.

Carbon inlet tube featuring a smoother interior without corrugations for a smooth flow path.
Integrated carbon flange allows secure mounting of the tube to the carbon air boxes.
Intake tube is manufactured using 2x2 twill weave carbon fiber for a great look in the engine bay.
Gloss finish clear coat for UV protection.
4-ply reinforced silicone coupler and 6061-T6 black anodized aluminum flange that utilizes the factory o-ring and retaining clip.

Performance data metrics are collected utilizing Mustang AWD 500 SE in ground dyno and in-house Superflow SF-750 Flowbench.

In addition to the weak stock chargepipe, the factory N54 diverter valves can also be a source for boost leaks. The diverter valve takes overboost and re-directs it back through the intake and turbos instead of allowing it to pass into the intake manifold. It's the same as a blow off valve (BOV) but instead of releasing into the engine bay, it stays contained to the engine. The stock diverter valves (DV) are plastic and connect with more plastic into the chargepipe and turbo inlet pipes. The plastic can become brittle and crack even on stock engines and leak boost, which leads to a loss in power and performance.
Turbosmart has developed two kits to replace and upgrade the stock diverter valves - a direct replacement kit (shown) and a combination DV/BOV "Dual Port" kit. This direct replacement kit includes new high-performance DV and stronger silicone hose to connect them to the turbo inlet pipes (Vargas silicone inlets are recommended). The Turbosmart Kompact DV will give you all of the strength and reliability you need to take your turbo build to the next level.

This Dual Port Kit is a DV and a BOV together in one unit. An internal valve directs some of the charged air into the turbo inlets and the rest is dumped into the engine bay like a traditional BOV. This allows you to custom tailor how much boost and BOV "whoosh" you hear. In addition to the DV/BOV combo, stronger silicone hose is included to connect them to the turbo inlet pipes (Vargas silicone inlets are recommended). The Turbosmart Kompact Dual Port will give you all of the strength and reliability you need to take your turbo build to the next level.
