The most common N55 intake utilizes a short plastic tube and oversized cone filter; it is your job to have better taste than the common N55 owner. This carbon intake changes the whole image of the N55 engine while maintaining a flow of cool air and added induction noise. With a dual inlet design the engine bay retains its functionality while adding a second inlet to provide your engine with improved air flow and sound. To ensure the engine gets the coolest air possible the second inlet is located in the "sweet spot" on the cold side of the engine for the lowest intake air temps and most air flow possible. The cone filter features a bellmouth velocity stack filter that creates the satisfying flutter after letting of the throttle.
Our Turner Carbon Fiber Intakes start with a 3D scan of the factory intake and engine bay. Engineers use the 3D imaging of the chassis to design the intake in SolidWorks modeling software. Using a Flow Bench, the Intake is then airflow tested against the factory intake, to ensure optimal airflow improvement against stock. Due to weak plastic construction, the factory plastic crankcase ventilation breather hose is known to fail. After years of exposure to piping-hot engine bay temperatures and chemical-laden oil vapors, the corrugated plastic tubing can crack, crumble, or fail altogether.
We set out to bulletproof your N20 PCV system with a durable silicone breather hose, designed to provide a comprehensive upgrade and permanent replacement for the factory plastic hose. Under certain conditions, the N55 crank hub likes to spin, without warning and even when the engine is in perfect health. The engineers at Vargas saw and dealt with this problem time and again, and they saw fit to do something about it. This hub uses a proprietary "Spline Lock" technology that uses high tolerance machined splines which press into the crank, and positively lock the hub to the crank. The splines are machined in such a way that rotational forces drive the hub, and splines deeper into the crank meaning when the hub encounters a situation that would normally slip a stock hub the splined hub is driven into the crank to keep it in place (much like a splined extractor). Features: Installs the same as a stock hub Does NOT require the crank to be drilled for pins Manufactured from Harndered 17-4SS We suggest the Crank Hub System ONLY be installed by a qualified shop or technician. Failing ignition coils or plugs can cause sputtering, rough idle, hesitation on acceleration, misfires, and a check engine light.
If one of your ignition coils is bad, it is a good idea to replace the plugs to prevent future problems. Great for fixing those rusted / corroded connections.

It is a well-known issue on the BMW N54/55 platforms that your serpentine belt can fail for various reasons. When this happens, there is a high chance of the belt getting sucked behind the front damper pulley and then being pushed past the crank seal into your oil pan. From there it can get sucked into the oil pick up causing total engine failure. Even if you do not lose the engine, it is a COSTLY repair to remove the sub-frame and drop the oil pan to remove the belt. The best way to combat this is to watch for oil leaks and keep up on your maintenance. BUT, even with those preventative measures, pre-mature belt failure can occur. This crank seal guard installs over your front crank seal and will keep the belt from being sucked in if a belt failure does occur. This is a cheap way to ensure you do not end up having to replace your motor from oil starvation due to an ingested belt. Vargas' seal is different from those already on market in two major ways. Firstly, it is not offensively priced. Secondly, it is 100% billet with no welds on the tabs to break, no cheap bent thin steel pieces. 100% Billet 6061-T6 aluminum, anodized black for long-term corrosion resistance. Crank Seal Guard includes: One VTT Billet N54/55 Crank Seal Guard Two extended 12.9 Grade bolts, and two stainless washers We highly recommend you install WITH a crank bolt capture at the same time, as you have to remove the damper anyway. This is an OEM INA Idler Pulley, also known as the roller pulley or deflection pulley. The idler pulley is known to be the primary sources for 'belt squealing'. The pulley is also encased in rubber which will crack over time. If left without service the rubber could fail completely, chucking the belt and leaving you stranded. Replacement is a very simple procedure and can be done anytime the fan is off the engine (belt replacement, water pump service, alternator replacement, etc).

Over time, the transmission fluid becomes thick and the filter becomes contaminated with small metal particles.
