Over time carbon can build up around the head of the spark plug and decrease spark strength and effectiveness, leading to weaker fuel mixture detonation, misfires, and potential check engine lights. When your CPV O-ring fails it causes a slow oil leak on the passenger side of the engine, making an oily mess that frequently resembles a rear main seal leak. Replacing the CPV with an upgraded o-ring ensures a long-term solution to this common problem. 

The factory o-ring over time fails from heat cycling and oil exposure due to the Buna rubber used in OEM o-rings, while the included Viton Fluoroelastomer is resistant to a much higher temperature to ensure prolonged life without leaking.

For street/track vehicles with air conditioning, opting for the Additional A/C Pulley Option is imperative, given that the OE A/C pulley isn't compatible. Often an oversight in maintenance, ignition components are also susceptible to wear and tear. ECS Tuning VANOS Seal Kit

The original BMW seals are made of Buna-N rubber, which quickly hardens and loses its sealing properties when exposed to synthetic oil and high heat. Our ECS engineering team has corrected this flaw.

Viton™ Upgrade: We utilize high-performance Viton O-rings for the internal seals, seal plate, and solenoid.
