We only offer parts we know you can trust to perform! One of the more common spots for oil leaks is from the oil filter housing where it meets the block. The filter housing meets the block and a profile gasket is supposed to keep the dirty oil from entering the engine and to retain the oil as it makes it way out and back into the block. Unfortunately, the dirty oil and contaminants can build up along the edge of the gasket and push it out of place. Heat around the various surfaces can also warp or shrink the gasket. In any event this spot is well-known for oil seepage and leaks. Replacement can be done on its own but is best tackled along with a new valve cover gasket (another common leak source). This replacement gasket and fits all N51, N52, N54, and N55 engines. This is the Genuine BMW replacement rear (bank 2) turbo assembly for the N54 engine in the 2007-2010 135/535. This is a factory BMW rebuilt turbocharger and comes as a complete assembly, including the manifold to the engine and the wastegage. It's highly likely N54 turbos will have to be replaced before 100,000 miles. Signs of a failing turbo are high oil consumption and blue smoke from exhaust (not from a leak or failing CCV system) because the internal oil seals are no longer retaining oil. Without critical lubrication and cooling effects from oil, the turbo shafts and bearings are usually the first to wear and that requires a complete rebuild. You might also see increased turbo lag or failure to hold boost, which is usually a sign of a failing wastegate or some other internal issue. With any internal problems the turbos need to be replaced. BMW rebuilds turbos on an exchange basis so a core charge applies. A refund will be issued upon the return of your original rebuildable turbo.

This is the Genuine BMW replacement front (bank 1) turbo assembly for the N54 engine in the 2007-2010 135/335/535. This is a factory BMW rebuilt turbocharger and comes as a complete assembly, including the manifold to the engine and the wastegage. It's highly likely N54 turbos will have to be replaced before 100,000 miles. Signs of a failing turbo are high oil consumption and blue smoke from exhaust (not from a leak or failing CCV system) because the internal oil seals are no longer retaining oil. Without critical lubrication and cooling effects from oil, the turbo shafts and bearings are usually the first to wear and that requires a complete rebuild. You might also see increased turbo lag or failure to hold boost, which is usually a sign of a failing wastegate or some other internal issue. With any internal problems the turbos need to be replaced. BMW rebuilds turbos on an exchange basis so a core charge applies. A refund will be issued upon the return of your original rebuildable turbo.

Turbo maintenance has become part of our daily lives here. Our Service department does several turbo overhauls, wastegate adjustments, carbon cleaning, and upgrades every week. For the DIY owner, however, having a complete overhaul kit takes some of the stress out of 135/535 turbo replacement and this kit includes all of the basic items. It's highly likely N54 turbos will have to be replaced before 100,000 miles. Signs of a failing turbo are high oil consumption and blue smoke from exhaust (not from a leak or failing CCV system) because the internal oil seals are no longer retaining oil. Without critical lubrication and cooling effects from oil, the turbo shafts and bearings are usually the first to wear and that requires a complete rebuild. You might also see increased turbo lag or failure to hold boost, which is usually a sign of a failing wastegate or some other internal issue. With any internal problems the turbos need to be replaced.

This package uses all Genuine BMW parts. It includes everything that needs replacement during a 135 or 535 N54 twin turbo overhaul -

Front and rear Genuine BMW rebuilt turbos
1 gallon of Genuine BMW coolant
16 - ASA M7x39 studs
16 - Flange nuts
All required gaskets and o-rings
Water pump install hardware
Replacement vacuum hose
T-bolt clamps

BMW rebuilt turbos have a two year warranty.

Each turbo has core charge each that will be refunded once your original rebuildable turbos are returned.
