The oxygen sensor is part of your BMW's emissions control system and feeds data to BMW engine management computer. The oxygen sensor is positioned in the exhaust pipe and can detect rich and lean mixtures. The goal of the oxygen sensor is to help the engine run as efficiently as possible and also to produce as few emissions as possible. When your BMW oxygen sensor fails, the computer can no longer sense the air/fuel ratio, so it ends up guessing -- resulting in poor performance, poor gas mileage, and increased pollution. Install the locking collar around your exhaust hanger, position the hanger in place, and snug the locking collar down in place against the hanger! This exhaust gasket is used to seal the exhaust midpipes to the downpipes. We also recommend replacing the bolts (11621711954, 4 required) as well.

Is the 740 exhaust too tame for your ears? Supersprint has designed this muffler to give a little more volume and presence to the exhaust without detracting from the 7-series super-luxury base. With the F01/F02 740 they identified both the factory center resonator and rear mufflers as opportunities for increasing volume and giving them 740 a sportier exhaust sound. With this system you have two resonator options - a freer-flowing resonated design and an option to completely delete the resonator.
