BMWs use an external oil cooler to regulate the temperature of engine oil and prevent a breakdown in viscosity and lubrication characteristics. If yours has suffered damage or developed a slight leak, make sure to replace it and keep the engine oil where it is supposed to be. Keeping this system properly serviced will significantly improve performance and increase engine life.
Doing a cooling system refresh, or just replacing worn out and soft old hoses? Why settle for stock when you can get the added life and heat tolerance of silicone hoses? Retains OEM fitment without the OEM hose flaws, silicone will resist breaking down and getting soft as coolant heat cycles and will last longer than the OEM rubber hoses.
