Fuel filters should be replaced at no more than 60,000 miles. As the fuel filter becomes contaminated it causes the pump to work harder to maintain pressure. This can cause the pump to overheat and drastically reduce its lifespan.
This fuel pump is located inside the fuel tank on the right side. When the pump fails, your engine could suffer fuel starvation.
