The sway bar in your vehicle links both lower control arms. During cornering, the inner wheel tends to roll under, but the sway bar acts as a spring to prevent this. A critical part of this system is the sway bar bushings. If they become soft or worn, energy transfer is compromised due to excessive sway bar flex or bushing movement. To maintain tight and responsive handling, it’s essential to replace the bushings.

If you want to be able to handle corners more aggressively, you can start by adding thicker sway bars. A thicker sway bar will be less apt to bend and distort and will keep your wheel more solidly planted to the pavement. You will experience less body roll, with almost no sacrifice in ride quality
