The factory BMW charge pipes are prone to cracking, as they are made from brittle plastic. Here at Turner, we sell several brands of replacement charge pipes that are typically made from cast aluminum. We recommend upgrading to hard charge pipes even on stock forced induction vehicles to avoid cracking - we've seen cracking occur on high mileage cars running stock power just as frequently as we do with high horsepower builds.

Burger's replacement heavy-duty silicone turbo inlet replaces the narrow and crack-prone factory plastic unit with a higher flowing silicone inlet with billet aluminum fittings. Unlike other inlets, this inlet retains a larger flow straight from intake to turbo for improved boost response and increased turbo efficiency. While beneficial with the factory turbo, this inlet is a must-have with any larger than factory turbo and the perfect complement to the BMS N55 intake systems.

The BMS Gen 1 B48 charge pipe upgrade is constructed from high-gauge aluminum and features a CNC throttle body and turbo flange for a snug, OEM-style fit. It is completed with a black textured finish to coordinate with the engine bay and boasts two 1/8" NPT bungs ideal for an external boost gauge or methanol nozzles. The factory charge pipes are made of plastic, which is fine for stock boost levels but does not hold up well under higher boost levels. The solution is to replace that plastic piece with a hard aluminum one from Evolution Racewerks. 6061 high-grade aluminum not only stands up to whatever you can throw at it, but it looks great at the same time. Don't risk detonating that 400.00 plastic pipe from BMW. Swap yours out and avoid the headache of needing to call a tow-truck or drive home in limp. Features: Increase throttle response and decreases turbo lag. Lightweight High Grade 6061 Aluminum Piping. Replaces the factory soft plastic charge pipe that is prone to breaking under high boost. Retains factory-style o-ring c-clip lock flange. Precision CNC machined MAP sensor and IAT flanges ensure a leak-free connection.
