These heavy-duty clutch kits use aluminum lightweight flywheels with sport clutch components to give your clutch the grip and clamping force it needs to cope with high torque upgrades. Our kits were developed through racing programs by companies affiliated with our own race team - JB Racing, Sachs Sport, OS Giken, and UUC Motorwerks. JB Racing is the leader in aluminum lightweight flywheel upgrades. They are direct replacements for the stock dual-mass flywheels with steel contact surfaces and computer balanced to 14,000 RPM. JB has partnered with Sachs to spec sport/HD clutch discs and pressure plates that work seamlessly with their aluminum flywheels. The result is a clutch/flywheel upgrade package that functions a lot like the original clutch combo with near-stock levels of effort and engangement but with a much higher torque capacity. The factory BMW S55 dual-mass flywheel is engineered with comfort in mind, catering to the luxury-oriented expectations of the brand’s driving experience. Its design focuses on dampening drivetrain vibrations, smoothing out gear transitions, and minimizing harshness during operation. However, this refinement costs valuable performance. The dual-mass flywheel adds a substantial 26.5 lbs of rotational mass to the drivetrain, which significantly hinders throttle response and makes rev-matching feel sluggish and disconnected. Moreover, dual-mass flywheels are notorious for being a weak link in modified or high-performance builds and can prove costly to replace when they inevitably fail.

Our Single-Mass Lightweight Flywheel Conversion addresses all of these shortcomings with a purpose-built, lightweight, single-mass design that prioritizes performance. Weighing in at only 18.5 lbs., this design significantly reduces rotational mass, allowing your S55 to achieve its true motorsport potential!

This brass clutch pivot pin is an upgrade over the stock plastic pivot pin. The brass pin will last a lot longer than the plastic piece and may save you time and hassle later on. The original plastic pivot pin is known to fall out, snap, or just wear out over time. At the least you get a very annoying squeak every time you depress the clutch. In a worse case scenario, the clutch fork won't be able to push on the throw-out bearing and your clutch will be useless. The only time to replace the clutch pivot pin is when the transmission is removed, so this brass upgrade can be installed during clutch replacements or a rear main seal service.

Upgraded clutch plate with solid Fiber-Tough disc designed to be used with OEM flywheels. 110% Increase in Holding Capacity The FX350 System uses the Power Plus I, Hi-Levarage, Heavy-Duty Pressure Plate utilizing our Fiber-Tough friction material. This clutch has a slightly increased holding capacity then the FX300 but will have a slightly more aggressive engagement and will produce some chatter. Similar to the FX300 this clutch is designed for the serious street enthusiast who also might spend a weekend and the track and is running a normally aspirated car that has been highly tuned with cylinder head work such as cams, or with a medium-boost turbo or supercharger setup, or up to 100hp NO2. The Clutch Masters FX850 is an 8.5” (216mm) Twin Disc clutch is the ultimate in twin disk performance for engines/transmissions with smaller bell-housings. Clutch Masters FX850 Twin Disc systems are pure racing technology that also work well in high performance street applications. The FX850 is designed to hold tremendous horsepower and torque, while maintaining reasonable peddle pressure to operate on the track. By increasing the clamping force of the pressure plate and adding to the square inches of usable disc area, Clutch Master FX850 Twin Discs significantly increase clamping rates with an average of 50% increase in pedal pressure depending on the application. The cover assembly is machined from billet aluminum and is then Type 3 hard anodized. The billet covers have roughly 25% more tensile strength than the competition’s cast unit. By focusing on machining the strongest cover possible while maintaining minimal weight, we are basically able to eliminate any flex in the cover. The billet covers see only .003” of flex where as a cast or stamped unit can see as much as .030” of flex. By eliminating this flex in the cover, the driver is able to operate the clutch much more consistently and confidently. All the movement being applied to the diaphragm of the clutch from the throwout bearing is used solely to engage and disengage the clutch and isn’t wasted by the cover flexing first. The strength of the covers also results in greater clamping force over the same amount of area vs. a cast or stamped cover. This means these twin discs are easy to drive and have superior clamping force to make sure all the power your engine is making is being utilized.

Eliminate the factory clutch delay valve and enjoy faster, more precise clutch engagement with the ECS Clutch Delay Valve (CDV) Removal Tool Kit. Designed for F and G-Chassis manual BMWs, this kit makes removing the hydraulic restrictor safe, simple, and reliable, no slave cylinder removal required.

Most modern BMWs come from the factory with a plastic slave cylinder featuring a CDV, intended to smooth engagement and reduce driveline shock for less experienced drivers. In practice, this restrictor can dull pedal feedback, slow shifts, and increase clutch wear. Removing it restores the sharp, direct clutch feel that BMW enthusiasts expect.

Removal and Installation:

Disconnect the Clutch Line
Remove the clutch line from the slave cylinder to access the factory clutch delay valve.
Remove the Restrictor Plate
Thread the removal tool into the center of the small grommet. Once engaged, carefully pull the tool to remove the grommet and restrictor plate. The small rubber sealing O-ring will come out along with the plate.
Reinstall the O-Ring
Place the rubber O-ring onto the installation tool. Insert the tool into the slave cylinder to properly seat the O-ring in its original position.
Reconnect and Bleed the Clutch
Reattach the clutch line, add fluid, and bleed the system according to your manufacturer’s instructions.
Enjoy Enhanced Clutch Feel
With the delay valve removed, your clutch now engages faster and more predictably, giving your manual transmission the sharp, connected feel it was designed for.

This clutch is designed for the ultimate street enthusiast running a normally aspirated car that has been highly tuned with cylinder head work such as cams, or with a medium-boost turbo or supercharger setup, or up to 100hp NO2. The FX300 has proven to be one of our most successful single disc clutch options over the years. By combining the use of Kevlar friction material in a segmented format, we create more pounds per square inch, allowing more torque holding capacity while still delivering exceptional life. Our Kevlar material is non-abrasive and doesn’t score the mating surfaces. The FX300 features only slightly increased pedal pressure, long life, and positive engagement. The FX300 is recommended for the street and not for track use. There is a minimum of 500 mile break in period required with this clutch.
