Free ground shipping! The factory M5/M6 exhaust system is very wide open with a minimal of restrictions - except for the catalytic converters. The factory ceramic cat is the biggest restriction so any exhaust work to gain more power is going to have to involve replacing it with something freer-flowing. Supersprint's downpipe incorporates a high-flow HJS 200-cell metallic cat that flows considerably more than the stock ceramic part. This cat downpipe is for the left bank.

Supersprint metallic sport catalytic converters are sourced from HJS of Germany. For 30 years HJS has been supplying motorsports teams with sport cats when rules required them. HJS is now a worldwide leader in sport cat technology and performance. Rally cars, German DTM, and Formula 3 all rely on HJS for clean, reliable horsepower. Supersprint works closely with HJS to spec a catalytic converter that is correct for the vehicle and engine package. This allows for a substantial increase in flow but which, at the same time, keeps the environmental specs within European limits. With any high-flow catalytic converter, special software or other work may be required to keep emissions fault codes and check engine lights from displaying. Supersprint catalytic converters are sold for track and other off-road uses only.

Supersprint performance exhaust adds more sound and substance to the ultra-quiet factory exhaust. Supersprint's exhaust philosophy is to make power without undue noise. They alter the size of the muffler, internal packaging, and piping sizes to extract more power while also delivering a refined and exotic sound. On the 335i that means a tuned and throaty exhaust note that is not intrusive or obnoxious. This muffler is a direct bolt-on to the factory system or combine with other Supersprint components to fine-tune the sound. This F30 Supersprint muffler has 4 80mm tips for a more muscular and imposing appearance (slight modification required on the bumper).

Supersprint Sport Catalytic Converters are designed to be used with the Supersprint headers and to replace the stock primary catalytic converters with high flow sport cats. With improved flow from larger piping and less-restrictive cat performance and throttle response will increase as well as increase sound and reduced weight. Changing the exhaust note can be one of the most pleasing upgrades you can make. The stock mufflers do exactly what BMW intended them to - muffle and dampen the exhaust to meet 'luxury' levels. But if you want to hear more of that great BMW engine changing out the rear mufflers with this Supersprint sport exhaust will come through. Supersprint uses a free-flow design that makes the exhaust louder and sportier while also increasing power and torque. The sound is a muscular but refined rumble especially on the V8 models. There's a throaty burble at low RPM that fades away as the revs build. This gives the X5 a more muscular presence for around town driving but retains stock like sound for highway driving. This system comes with two 90mm round tips on each side.

These straight pipes connect to the turbo downpipes and eliminate the factory front resonators. This allows more volume from the exhaust and more V8 "soundtrack". With the M5/M6's twin-turbo V8 so quiet (even when piped through the speakers) every lit bit of volume is an improvement. This section will open up the exhaust a bit more - like turning the volume knob up - and remove some restriction in the exhaust flow. Must be installed with corresponding Supersprint center pipes.

These Supersprint mufflers enhance the athletic side of the M5's personality without going too far. With a freer-flowing design there is more of that exhaust pop and rumble coming to the cabin, reminding you that this is a BMW Motorsport vehicle and not a luxury cruiser. These mufflers are more subdued than the race version with a great sound and no dramatic side effects. You hear the exhaust when you want to but it's composed and smooth when you don't want to advertise. A moderate increase in torque and horsepower from less restriction is a nice bonus. These mufflers are clamped in place of the stock mufflers, making for a straight forward and simple install. If you desire later on to hear more of the exhaust, an x-pipe can also be installed to eliminate the rear resonator.
