At Turner we are very familiar with the N55 and B58. These are the new generation engines that you you can pull quite a bit of power from quite easily, if you want to put the power to the pavement the factory bushings and reinforcement just wont cut it. With soo many performance parts available for the turbocharged engines, it is very easy to make power but keeping the car under control can be another story. Reduce wheel hop, extend the life of your bearings, and add stability to your chassis!

Our in-house engineers created a solution to help transfer the power to the ground, the result is a simple yet astounding improvement to the performance of your vehicle. The rear diff brace helps put power down by reducing wheel hop and preventing losses during power transfer. With the added rigidity the rear end feels tighter for high speed applications and will extend the life of your choice of OE or aftermarket bushings.

Soft factory rubber differential bushings absorb vibrations between the chassis and differential, providing comfort and softness for normal driving conditions. As these bushings wear you will experience lackluster performance/response and they will need to be replaced. You can extend the life of these bushings while providing increased chassis stability with our differential brace for your F chassis. Add new poly differential bushings for an even better experience (T#:656153)

Put an end to drivetrain flex and destructive wheel hop. The S58 engine is an absolute torque monster, especially once you start tuning and turning up the boost. While aggressive launches and heavy acceleration are the best parts of owning these vehicles, the factory rear differential mounting wasn't designed to handle that kind of abuse.

The OEM soft rubber bushing allows excessive differential twist and flex under load. This deflection transfers massive, uneven force directly to the factory mounting bolt, leading to bending or catastrophic snapping. Our upgrade replaces that weak link, locking down your drivetrain to ensure every bit of horsepower reaches the pavement safely.

Features and Benefits:

95A Poly Isolator replacing the hollow, compliant stock rubber
Upgraded grade 12.9 M14x1.5 fastener to replace the factory 10.9 bolt that is prone to snapping
No noticeable compromise in ride quality and NVH that comes with a solid mount counterpart
Design:

95A Turner Blue Polyurethane isolator
6061-T6 Black anodized aluminum bushing sleeve
Optimized Sleeve and bushing press-fit, developed with years of Polyurethane subframe and differential bushing design
Zinc Yellow-Chromate plated Grade 12.9 Hardware
Two-piece sleeve design for ease of installation
Product Development:

Our F97/F98 differential mount was designed, engineered, tested, and quality-inspected by our Research and Development team at our Wadsworth, Ohio, facility. We strive for the highest level of precision and quality through leading-edge product development technology, including FARO laser scanning for reverse engineering and quality inspection, SolidWorks 3D CAD modelling, rapid prototyping utilizing our in-house 3D printer, and rigorous long-term product testing.

Harness unused potential. Drive with confidence. Engineered to maximize strength and cooling performance while utilizing the unused secondary factory differential mount for enhanced support and driveline stability.

Our Turner Motorsport Dual-Mount Differential Cover is purpose-built to reinforce one of the most critical components in the G8X M3/M4 drivetrain. From the factory, BMW includes a secondary bushing location in the rear subframe but leaves it unused. Our solution fully capitalizes on this overlooked feature, giving the differential a second point of support for improved rigidity, reduced movement, and enhanced driveline response under load.

This cover is more than just a mounting upgrade. It’s precision-machined from 6061-T6 billet aluminum for exceptional strength without unnecessary weight. An aggressive fin profile improves thermal efficiency, helping to lower fluid temperatures in high-stress environments. Inside, the cover features an embossed channel that mirrors the ring gear path, ensuring fluid stays in contact where it's needed most, improving cooling and lubrication in all conditions.

Whether you're carving corners on the street or pushing the limits on track, this differential cover is designed to keep your rear end cool, stable, and responsive.

Key Features and Benefits:

The dual-mount design utilizes the factory-provided secondary bushing location, adding critical support to reduce differential deflection, extend bushing life, and minimize wheel hop.
CNC-machined from 6061-T6 billet aluminum, offering high strength and a precise fit.
Built-in cooling fins increase surface area for improved heat dissipation and lower differential fluid temperatures.
Internally contoured to follow the ring gear profile, promoting consistent fluid coverage and effective lubrication.
Maintains a 1.1-liter fluid capacity, closely matching OEM specifications for ease of servicing.
Integrated -6 AN ports support the addition of an external differential cooler for increased fluid volume and extended service intervals.
Compatible with the factory differential fluid temperature sensor and includes provisions for 1/4” NPT aftermarket sensors.
Product Development:

Like all Turner Motorsport performance solutions, this differential cover was developed in-house by our dedicated Research and Development team. Designed, engineered, tested, and quality-inspected using advanced tools including FARO laser scanning for reverse engineering, SolidWorks 3D CAD modeling, in-house rapid prototyping, and extensive long-term testing, you can trust that this part meets the highest standards of fit, function, and durability.

Designed for track drivers, drift enthusiasts, and drag racers alike, this all-in-one driveline upgrade eliminates the factory weak points and reinforces your drivetrain for high-performance abuse. Whether you're laying down 500HP, clutch-kicking through corners, or launching hard at the strip, this cover keeps your differential secure, cool, and ready for battle.

The stock E30 differential cover features a single mounting provision—fine for a stock M20, but guaranteed to fail on your boosted high-horsepower M5X build. After years of broken covers, mounting tabs, and dreams, our team of E30 enthusiasts engineered the ultimate fix.

Unlike the brittle OEM cast aluminum cover, our upgraded differential cover is CNC-machined from 6061-T6 billet aluminum, offering a 30% increase in material strength alone. More importantly, a secondary mounting ear has been integrated into the design for added support, drastically improving stability and driveline shock absorption. The secondary mount is tied into the chassis using a reinforced sheet metal bracket and a billet aluminum plate, allowing for bolt-on installation or welding for ultimate rigidity.

Another major flaw of the factory E30 differential cover is its lack of any cooling provisions, leading to overheated fluid and premature wear. Our engineers solved this issue by incorporating advanced cooling features into the design. Large external fins have been added to the cover, and are optimized using CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) analysis to efficiently dissipate heat, reducing overall fluid temperatures. By maintaining a more stable differential temperature, this cover ensures consistent performance and extends the lifespan of your differential fluid. A built-in air duct assists in cooling by increasing airflow around the differential, further preventing heat-related failures. Our cover features optional -6AN fittings, allowing for easy integration of an external fluid cooler if desired. Finally, a 1/8 NPT port is included with the kit to ensure compatibility with fluid temperature monitoring systems.

Precision-machined from 6061-T6 billet aluminum and finished with a black hard coat anodizing, this cover is built to withstand hard use. Despite its robust construction and superior durability, this differential cover retains factory mounting features. This means any E30 188mm differential cover bushing can be installed, allowing you to tailor our upgraded cover to your build. The cover also accommodates large rear sway bars, ensuring fitment on cars with upgraded suspension. Our proprietary removable air duct provides easy access to sensor bungs, fill plugs, and drain plugs, making differential service a breeze.

FEATURES

Enhance rear-end control and put more power to the ground with a straightforward 3-piece design that installs with ease. The factory rubber may favor ride comfort, but it struggles to keep up when driving gets aggressive. As it wears, the OEM bushing can soften and deform, reducing stability and allowing wheel hop to creep in when you need traction most.

Our 95A durometer polyurethane bushings solve that problem. Engineered to strike the perfect balance between soft factory rubber and harsh solid mounts, they significantly reduce differential movement without introducing excessive vibration. The result is more efficient power transfer, so your torque goes straight to the rear wheels instead of being lost in drivetrain flex.

Features & Benefits:

Minimizes differential movement and instability to help eliminate wheel hop
Two-piece 95A split polyurethane design for easier installation
Precision-fit insert reinforces the bushing and strengthens mounting points
Resistant to road salt, oils, and harsh chemicals
Compatible with dual mount differential plates
Design:

Type II Anodized 6061-T6 CNC billet aluminum inserts for superior corrosion resistance and durability.
95A Polyurethane 2-Piece Isolator.
Product Development:

Our Rear Differential Bushings are designed, engineered, tested, and quality inspected by our Research & Development team. Our development process includes leading-edge product technology: FARO laser scanning for reverse engineering and quality inspection, SolidWorks 3D CAD modeling, rapid prototyping utilizing our in-house 3D printer, and rigorous long-term product testing.

Made in the USA For our Grand-Am Cup E46 M3s we wanted a fully solid differential mount setup. The advantages of a fully-solid aluminum set is that they last forever, quickens response in the suspension, and frees up horsepower to the wheels. These fully solid aluminum diff mounts are CNC machined and lightened for a direct replacement of the original rubber pieces.

By substituting aluminum for rubber we can take out all of the deflection and 'wind up' inherent to the original rubber pieces. The high deflection rate of the stock rubber means the suspension reacts slower as the bushing is compressed. The power used to compress that bushing is instead passed straight to the axles and wheels. And since there is no time lost to deflection, response is greatly improved. These diff mounts are only recommended for racecars since the aluminum transfers more noise and vibration.

This is a 3-piece set with a single front bushing and two rear bushings to press into the cover. They mount with the stock BMW hardware.

This item fits the following BMWs:
2001-2006 E46 BMW M3

Modern BMW's are beginning to leave the performance derived handling and power delivery in the past as the demand for more comfort and features rises. The stiff suspension components designed around having the best driving experience from a luxury car has been left for the M models and replaced with soft rubber bushings and mounts. Unfortunately, this is a good move by BMW to support the masses.

The obvious approach was to offer products so the modern BMW can be upgraded into the car the enthusiast desires, superb handling, control, and a direct delivery of power to the rear wheels. When you upgrade to our Delrin subframe mounts you reconnect that power with almost zero negative feedback.

The added appeal to someone looking to take one of these machines on the race track is Delrin can be used when solid mounts are needed and aluminum is not an option with strict regulations found in??Grand-Am, BMW CCA, and other racing series.

Product features:

  • Precision machined Delrin(TM) 150 bushings.
  • Precision machined 6061-T6 aluminum inserts.?
  • Class legal for any racing class that does not allow a solid subframe bushing.?

Differential bushings are responsible for keeping the differential in solid alignment while dampening drivetrain vibration. While OE rubber bushings are fine when they are new from the factory, aged and worn out rubber bushings create a multitude of issues that can range from annoying to dangerous. As a factory bushing ages, it begins to harden and become brittle. When this happens the bushing will actually shrink and allow for movement at the differential mounting point. At this point, the differential is free to shift under load causing a noticeable clunking noise under acceleration and deceleration and massively increasing the stress on the driveshaft and axles. Manual transmissions suffer the worst from this as it can make shifting difficult since the differential will shift when the clutch is engaged and disengaged.

NOTE: We suggest replacing 3 of BMW # 31126760203 during installation Kit comes supplied with M14 mounting bolt, thread locker, and a Powerflex keyring. With the newer F8x M2/M3/M4's making big power and having superb chassis straight from the showroom, it's no wonder they're often found at the most serious of track-days or at tuning shops around the globe. Unfortunately, the power that makes these cars so fun to drive eventually has an impact on the vehicles' suspension components- most notably the rear differential bushings. Despite having alloted for two mounting bushings on the factory tubular subframe, BMW opts to use only a single offset bushing in the rear to mount the diff bracket to the subframe. This essentially creates a pivot point for the diff under torque loading, especially if the 4x front diff bushes are worn out and softer than they once were. With hard launches and sudden and frequent on-off throttle changes, the single rear OE rubber bushing is subject to extreme torsional and directional forces, resulting in rapid degradation with failure often seen at around the 30,000-40,000 mile mark, and an unsettled and potentially clunky rear-end. The PFR5-4030 Dual Mount Diff Bracket is made from our in-house CNC machined 6082 High-Tensile Aluminum, and is designed to utilize the secondary mounting position on the OE subframe. With the addition of a second bushing, this prevents the diff from twisting under load, providing benefits such as: Reduced drivetrain movement Improved throttle response A more controlled and consistent chassis response to acceleration/deceleration Improved tire-to-road power transfer due to reduced wheel hop Reduced strain on bushings The corrosion-resistant, satin black, anodized aluminum bracket is optimized for high stress and deflection while withstanding high torque loads, but serves the same purpose in road-use and track-use cars with either a single OE bushing or dual aftermarket bushings. Although the bracket can be fitted without the need to remove the subframe from the vehicle completely, we would strongly recommend combining Powerflex products by using our already hugely popular 80A durometer PFR5-4026 Rear Diff Rear Mounting Bushings for both rear mounting positions alongside our PFR5-4025 Rear Diff Front Mounting Bushings in the front for the ultimate in differential control and a lasting street or track solution.

Manual transmissions suffer the worst from this as it can make shifting difficult since the differential will shift when the clutch is engaged and disengaged.

By replacing these bushings with full polyurethane, the movement is eliminated since the mounting point is supported by a much stiffer material that will not harden or shrink over time. This means less stress on the driveshaft and axles and greater longevity of supporting components.

Engineered to perform, Powerflex performance polyurethane differential bushings offer a supreme level of control, while still providing enough comfort for the street, with advanced polyurethane that reduces NVH that often accompanies lesser bushings. Expect improved acceleration response, more direct shifting feel and overall improved drivetrain composure with Powerflex performance polyurethane bushings.

Poweflex is a leading manufacturer of aftermarket suspension bushings. Using state of the art design and manufacturing, all replacement bushings are engineered to out-perform and out-last the ones that came in the car. Each line of bushings is meticulously tested and then re-tested to ensure perfect fitment and enduring quality through the life of the vehicle. Powerflex is the number one selling suspension bushing manufacturer in Europe. Their experience with polyurethane bushing material and state-of-the art manufacturing techniques allows them to produce premium performance bushings, made to exact-fit standards. Powerflex performance polyurethane bushings are built to last longer than OEM rubber bushings, while improving performance and allowing for a more engaging driving experience. Powerflex is pleased to introduce their new N54, N55, and B58 Engine Mount Inserts, intermediate alternatives to the BMW aluminum inserts and much stiffer full replacement engine mounts available on the aftermarket. Made in Yellow 70A durometer material, they are designed to fit the OE mounts snuggly to restrict engine movement with a minimal increase in NVH, perfect for those with tuned road cars. Their design and flexibility also mean they can be fitted to the vehicle without removing the engine mounts themselves. Reducing engine/transmission movement by way of upgraded inserts has the following benefits: Sharper throttle response Improved gear shifting More direct power transfer More balanced on/off throttle handling Prolonged life of the OE mounts A small increase in NVH, usually at idle, should be expected when stiffening the connecting mount between the engine and chassis. The harder the material used, the greater the NVH transmitted.

By replacing these bushings with full polyurethane, the movement is eliminated since the mounting point is supported by a much stiffer material that will not harden or shrink over time. This means less stress on the driveshaft and axles and greater longevity of supporting components.

Powerflex street bushings are ideal for street driven vehicles and those that see occasional autocross or track time. Need bushings for a dedicated track car? Powerflex Black Series bushings are the ultimate in track and race bushings. Featuring 95A durometer polyurethane, Black Series bushings are 25% stiffer than street bushings. Engineered to perform, Powerflex performance polyurethane control arm bushings offer a supreme level of control, while still providing enough comfort for the street, with advanced polyurethane that reduces NVH that often accompanies lesser bushings. Expect improved steering feel, turn in, more responsive handling and overall improved chassis composure with Powerflex performance polyurethane control arm bushings.

These rubber bushings from Meyle are a direct replacement for the stock differential bushings in the E46 3-series, E83 X3 SAV, and Z4 Roadster. If your original bushings are worn (likely around 100,000 miles) these are a great replacement upgrade. The front bushings are the stock OEM type rubber bushings. The rear bushing is a Meyle HD upgrade over stock - about 15% stiffer than the originals. This means the bushing will not flex and twist as much. This puts more power to the wheels since power is no longer used up for 'torquing' the bushing. These are not race bushings; the rubber material is perfectly suitable for street use.

The non-M E46/E83/Z4 models use three differential mounts - two front bushings in the subframe and one rear mount in the diff cover. This set of bushings covers all three. You can opt to include new mounting hardware in the Options list below.

The Powerflex Rear Sway Bar Bushing - 18.5 mm Street for the BMW X3 (2003-2010) is a premium suspension upgrade designed to replace the factory rubber bushings with high-performance polyurethane. This bushing specifically fits rear sway bars with a 18.5 mm diameter, providing better durability and handling for street-focused driving.

Product Features:

  1. The Powerflex Rear Diff Front Mount Bushing - Flat Type for the BMW E38 7 Series and E39 5 Series is a premium suspension component designed to replace the factory rubber bushing in the front mount position of the rear differential. This high-performance polyurethane bushing is engineered to enhance drivetrain stability and improve overall vehicle performance, making it an ideal upgrade for drivers seeking longevity and sharper handling.

    Product Details:

    1. Flat-Type Design: This bushing is built with a flat-type design, which ensures a direct replacement fit for the factory-installed bushing in the front mount of the rear differential. It aligns perfectly with the BMW E38 and E39 chassis, providing an accurate and secure fit without the need for modifications.

    2. Polyurethane Material: Powerflex bushings are constructed from high-quality polyurethane, which offers superior durability compared to traditional rubber. This material is highly resistant to wear, heat, and degradation from oils and road contaminants, ensuring that the bushing remains effective for a much longer period under both normal and performance driving conditions.

    3. Enhanced Drivetrain Control: The rear diff front mount bushing plays a critical role in controlling the movement of the rear differential during acceleration, deceleration, and cornering. Powerflex's polyurethane bushing limits excessive movement and reduces drivetrain flex, leading to more consistent power delivery, reduced differential "clunking," and a smoother, more precise ride.

    4. Improved Handling: By stiffening the front mount of the rear differential, this bushing enhances the stability and control of the rear suspension, particularly during aggressive driving. Drivers will notice a reduction in body movement and improved handling characteristics, allowing for more confident cornering and better overall vehicle dynamics.

    5. Direct Replacement for OEM Bushings: Designed to replace the original rubber bushing without any additional modifications, this bushing fits seamlessly into the existing suspension setup of the BMW E38 7 Series and E39 5 Series. Installation is straightforward, and the bushing is engineered to match the factory specifications while offering a significant performance upgrade.

    6. Long-Lasting Durability: Polyurethane bushings are designed to withstand harsh conditions and prolonged use, far outlasting the OEM rubber components. This bushing resists cracking, warping, and deterioration over time, ensuring that it maintains its structural integrity and performance even after years of use.

    Advantages:

    • Increased Drivetrain Stability: Reduces differential movement, providing a smoother and more stable power transfer to the rear wheels.
    • Better Handling Response: Enhances rear-end control during acceleration, deceleration, and cornering, improving overall vehicle dynamics.
    • Long-Lasting Material: Outlasts rubber bushings, offering a cost-effective, long-term suspension upgrade.
    • Direct OEM Fitment: Simple replacement with no modification required, ensuring an easy installation process.

    Fitment:

    • BMW E38 7 Series (1994-2001)
    • BMW E39 5 Series (1995-2003)

    Key Benefits:

    • Reduced Drivetrain Slack: Minimizes play in the rear differential, eliminating clunks and improving overall ride quality.
    • Durable and Resilient: Made from high-performance polyurethane that resists damage from road debris, oils, and extreme temperatures.
    • Perfect for Daily or Performance Driving: Balances improved handling with everyday comfort, making it a suitable upgrade for both street and spirited driving.

For BMW E38 7 Series and E39 5 Series owners looking for a reliable, long-lasting upgrade, the Powerflex Rear Diff Front Mount Bushing - Flat Type delivers improved handling, enhanced drivetrain control, and a more responsive driving experience. This is a vital upgrade for maintaining the performance and reliability of your rear suspension system.

This package of OEM E82 E90 E92 diff mounts replaces the stock rubber diff bushings. On a tuned 335i you may have noticed more driveline shudder or problems hooking up during hard launches. What happens is the stock rubber bushings are under constant flex as engine torque is transmitted through the differential. Under normal driving with a stock car the bushings are rarely stressed. But factor in significant additional torque from a tuned N54/N55 and the stock rubber will quickly show its weaknesses. You may have even broken a diff bolt or two as the heavy differential shifts around. Even non-turbo E82 and E9X models may benefit from fresh bushings.

This is a set of stock rubber bushings, made by OEM supplier Lemforder. They are the same as the Genuine BMW E9X diff mount bushings, but without the more expensive branding. If you're turned off by potential side effects of urethane or Delrin then the OEM diff mounts are your best option. The OEM mounts fit and perform just like the originals so there is no second guessing their quality. If you're looking for an upgrade we offer E9X solid Delrin and aluminum diff mounts that work well, even in street applications.

E9X Diff Mount Set includes:

  • 33176760287 x 2, front differential mount
  • 33176770866 x 1, rear differential mount
  • (new hardware is optional and can be ordered separately below)

By replacing these bushings with full polyurethane, the movement is eliminated since the mounting point is supported by a much stiffer material that will not harden or shrink over time. This means less stress on the driveshaft and axles and greater longevity of supporting components.
