BMW E60 M5 Crank Case Test Cap

The BMW E60 M5 Crank Case Test Cap is designed to facilitate accurate testing of crankcase pressure across a range of vehicle models. The impact driver is a fast and effective way to remove tight or corroded screws and bolts, reducing the chance of rounding off--or rounding out--the fastener head. Insert a slotted or Phillips head screwdriver bit into the driver.

For stubborn bolts, remove the black screwdriver bit adapter head, and replace it with any 3/8 - inch drive socket.

The constant change in temperature from hot to cold with and engine may cause fasteners to be more difficult to remove and possibly stripping the threads. This tool wasn't designed to make new thread, but instead clean-up the damaged threads.

Torque-limiting socket set prevents over-tightening of wheel bolts and lug nuts. Attach them to your ½-inch breaker bar or impact gun and tighten the wheel bolts or lugs until the socket stops tightening at 74 ft-lb (100 Nm). Then final-tighten the wheel fasteners to the recommended specification using a torque wrench.
