Vague or slopping shifter feel even after installing a short shifter or new OE shifter linkage bushings?  Looking for a more precise shifter feel in your classic BMW?  Consider replacing your old, worn rubber rear shifter bushing with new Turner poly to get the best shifting experience possible!  The Turner engineering team wasn’t satisfied with the other options on the market, so we set out to design the best solution for ease of installation and performance.

The competition requires the installer to cut or burn the rubber bushing out of the stock housing to be able to install their poly bushing, requiring reuse of an old worn out housing, or buying a new costly bushing assembly.  We decided this was cumbersome and unnecessary, so we designed a complete upgrade replacement bracket with a 70A polyurethane bushing preinstalled for a quick bolt-in installation.  Our bracket is precision formed with a CNC machined and TIG welded bushing cup to perfectly match the OEM bracket, and is made from 304 stainless steel for exceptional corrosion resistance.  The result is a complete design solution that creates much crisper shifting with nearly zero added NVH for a more engaging and enjoyable driving experience.

Note: Some shifter arms have a mushroom-shaped end. Use extra care installing our bushing on these arms. Filing this mushroom down makes installation easier, however simply applying sufficient pressure to the back side of the bushing during installation will allow this bushing to install smoothly.

Our Turner Motorsport rear shifter bushing is a precision-engineered solution designed to eliminate excessive deflection in the factory BMW G8X shift carrier assembly. At Turner we are very familiar with the N55 and B58. These are the new generation engines that you you can pull quite a bit of power from quite easily, if you want to put the power to the pavement the factory bushings and reinforcement just wont cut it. With soo many performance parts available for the turbocharged engines, it is very easy to make power but keeping the car under control can be another story. Reduce wheel hop, extend the life of your bearings, and add stability to your chassis!

Our in-house engineers created a solution to help transfer the power to the ground, the result is a simple yet astounding improvement to the performance of your vehicle. The rear diff brace helps put power down by reducing wheel hop and preventing losses during power transfer. With the added rigidity the rear end feels tighter for high speed applications and will extend the life of your choice of OE or aftermarket bushings.

Soft factory rubber differential bushings absorb vibrations between the chassis and differential, providing comfort and softness for normal driving conditions. As these bushings wear you will experience lackluster performance/response and they will need to be replaced. You can extend the life of these bushings while providing increased chassis stability with our differential brace for your F chassis. Turner F Chassis Differential brace was designed, engineered, tested and quality inspected by our Research and Development team at Turner. Nothing but the highest level of precision and quality through leading-edge product development technology including FARO laser scanning for reverse engineering and quality inspection, SolidWorks 3D CAD modeling, rapid prototyping utilizing our in-house 3D printer and rigorous long term product testing.

We have always loved BMWs, but one of their shortcomings has always been shifter throw and feel. Even driving your new BMW ///M home from the dealership, you might realize that the shifter throw leaves something to be desired when you find your right hand in your backseat when shifting into fourth gear. Things only go downhill from here, as these cars increase in age and mileage shifts feel less and less precise. Our short shifter offers 32 to 40% reduction in throw over stock. Note that this short shifter differs from our typical Turner short shifter in that it is solely height adjustable, not throw.

Note that we did notice some resonance when testing on vehicles with factory base model shift knobs (25117596084 or 25117596086, etc). We recommend running ZHP, M, or M Performance to both avoid this and give your shifts the best feel.

From the factory, all BMW models are equipped with soft rubber or fluid-filled engine mounts. While these mounts perform well at isolating drivetrain vibrations, they are prone to degradation and allow for significant drivetrain movement. This often results in a loose-feeling driveline, missed shifts, and a generally disconnected driving feel.

To address these issues, We have developed a performance alternative. Constructed from 6061 Billet Aluminum, these mounts are built to last. While most performance drivetrain mounts feature solid or polyurethane-bonded aluminum construction, the engineers at Turner designed a unique four-piece design that disburses NVH (noise, vibration, and harshness). This multi-piece design offers the added benefit of serviceability. Additionally, encapsulating the polyurethane and adding a TecaPeek isolator prevents heat transfer to the insert, increasing the lifespan and durability of the mount.

Upgrade from your single connection selector rod to a dual shear selector rod or DSSR for a stronger connection and an overall better shifting experience. The factory BMW selector rod is made of hollow aluminum tubing and attaches to both the shifter and transmission from one side utilizing a pin-and-clip design. The factory single-side attachment only has a small amount of surface area contacting both the shifter and transmission selector, which relies directly on the connecting pin to do all of the shifting and control. This can cause a loose and/or lackluster experience when shifting gears or shaking your shifter in neutral. Your new Turner DSSR features a much larger contacting surface to both the shifter and transmission; not only does the upgraded DSSR have larger faces contacting your shift components but it also features double the amount of mounting surfaces. This dual shear selector rod hugs your shift lever and selector tight from both sides and eliminates deflection and sloppiness for the best shifting experience possible.

Installation:

Vehicle plastic belly pans may vary. Because the Turner 8HP transmission pan is taller to allow for increased fluid capacity, some vehicles may require trimming of the plastic belly pan, or the belly pan may need to be installed over the transmission pan where it may make contact.

BMW’s Getrag GS7D36SG Dual-Clutch Transmission is a masterpiece of engineering. It's renowned for its rapid gear changes, robust construction, and direct, motorsport-inspired feel. The factory plastic oil pan and limited oil capacity compromise cooling efficiency and long-term reliability, especially during high-performance use. We've designed a permanent, high-performance replacement for the flawed OEM pan: a cast-aluminum, increased-capacity upgrade that enhances cooling and durability. Rubber engine and transmission mounts for a street car and solid aluminum for the track, right? Well, it's not that straightforward anymore.

Stock rubber fluid-filled mounts are designed to be soft and comfortable, limiting the NVH (noise, vibration, and harshness) felt by the driver. The drawback inherent with a conventional design is driveline deflection, making it more difficult to put the power to the wheels, as well as making a money-shift or miss-shift more likely as they age. Solid mounts are exactly the opposite of this - they permit tons of NVH while offering zero deflection, making these a must have for track-driven vehicles looking to capitalize on every ounce of performance available. Enthusiasts looking to find the best of both worlds often look to polyurethane engine mounts - and many are disappointed with other designs on the market. Seeking a mount that offers a positive connection yet doesn't deform, fail, or rattle the fillings out of their mouths is frequently a lost cause.

Until now. 

We engineered these mounts with these very concerns in mind. We know if a soft mount offers a sloppy connection it doesn't work on the track, and a solid mount isn't acceptable as a daily driver (for most!) and set out to engineer a mount that would meet the needs for both. At the core of our enclosed design is a partially-constrained, multi-piece polyurethane bushing with precisely-set preload. This architecture absorbs and disperses resonant engine frequencies as opposed to amplifying them (like some other designs do), which results in a positive-connection, enthusiast-feel mount with the vibration. Understanding that heat is a concern for the passenger side mount's close proximity to the exhaust, we utilize a PEEK thermal insulation plate to greatly reduce heat transfer to the polyurethane, making heat a non-issue for these mounts. 

We offer two durometers, with both densities offering similar "positive connection" feeling. 60A is slightly softer and offers more of a stock feel, while 80A delivers a little more engine "feel" while under acceleration.

Solid mounts are exactly the opposite of this - they permit tons of NVH while offering zero deflection, making these a must have for track-driven vehicles looking to capitalize on every ounce of performance available. Enthusiasts looking to find the best of both worlds often look to polyurethane engine mounts - and many are disappointed with other designs on the market. Seeking a mount that offers a positive connection yet doesn't deform, fail, or rattle the fillings out of their mouths is frequently a lost cause.

Until now. 

We engineered these mounts with these very concerns in mind. We know if a soft mount offers a sloppy connection it doesn't work on the track, and a solid mount isn't acceptable as a daily driver (for most!) and set out to engineer a mount that would meet the needs for both. At the core of our enclosed design is a partially-constrained, multi-piece polyurethane bushing with precisely-set preload. This architecture absorbs and disperses resonant engine frequencies as opposed to amplifying them (like some other designs do), which results in a positive-connection, enthusiast-feel mount with the vibration. Understanding that heat is a concern for the passenger side mount's close proximity to the exhaust, we utilize a PEEK thermal insulation plate to greatly reduce heat transfer to the polyurethane, making heat a non-issue for these mounts. 

We offer two durometers, with both densities offering similar "positive connection" feeling. 60A is slightly softer and offers more of a stock feel, while 80A delivers a little more engine "feel" while under acceleration.
