A full brake fluid flush is recommended to be performed at every 2 years or 30,000 miles, whichever occurs first (Intervals may vary for vehicles used on the track, check fluid specifications for more details). The ball-joint inside the link will eventually wear out. The problem gets worse if the rubber boot surrounding the joint is ripped. When the joint goes bad you can hear it clunk when going over bumps. Replacement of the link will help with the handling and feel of the car.
