15MM (.59 inch) Wheel Spacers Adapters for BMW E39 5-series
The E36 and E46 chassis have a lot more wheel options than the E39 5-series. That's because BMW chose to use a larger center bore for the E39 wheel than any other BMW model and many wheel manufacturers are reluctant to make E39-specific wheels. These adapters are the correct E39 hub size on the inside and the correct E36/E46/E9X wheel size on the outside with a 15mm thickness. This is good because the E39 needs a low wheel offset and 3-series wheels are all high offset so a spacer would be needed anyway. A Hub Adapter Spacer is the perfect solution! You will need match the spacer to the new wheels (also taking the new wheel width into account) but call us for any fitment questions. Longer wheel bolts or wheel studs are required.

Extended Wheel Bolts
Required for all BMW wheel spacers is a set of longer wheel bolts or wheel studs. Spacers cannot be used with stock bolts. Our extended lug bolts are a very high quality and high grade steel lug bolt (grade 10.9). We offer two finishes to get you just the right look with your wheels - black zinc to maintain a factory BMW appearance or a bright zinc nickel finish to go with polished wheels. Zinc finishes are designed to withstand 700 hours of salt spray testing.

BMW’s are known to have failure prone front thrust arm bushings. The flexible rubber bushings, even those found in M performance models, allow significant movement of the front wheels to maximize daily driving comfort, but also allow considerable alignment change. This results in a disconnected and numb road feel, standing between you and a confidence inspiring driving experience. Eventually the fluid filled rubber bushings fatigue and crack due to continual deflection and ozone degradation, and eventually the damping fluid leaks out resulting in complete failure.

Our experience with spherical front control arm ball joints goes back to those we designed and used in our IMSA E90 328i and E92 M3 race cars (GS class Champions in 2011). We offer these control arms with the monoball bearings pre-installed for your convenience. This OEM fuel filter is a must during any major service or tune-up. With a clogged or dirty filter, you are starving your engine of gasoline which can result in dangerous cutting out, rough running, or even a no-start situation. Bosch filters are premium grade filters that will keep your fuel system in top shape the same as, or better than, Genuine filters, without having to spend the Genuine BMW price. We recommend changing the fuel filter as part of a regular 30,000 mile tune-up. But you may want to replace it more often if your regular fuel quality is low.

Control arm bushings play a key role in connecting the wheels to the chassis of the vehicle. Tasked with keeping suspension geometry in check while absorbing noise, vibration, and harshness (NVH) factory rubber bushings were engineered to provide a balance of comfort and control. As a factory bushing ages, it becomes brittle and begins to harden. When this happens the bushing will actually shrink and allow excess play in the suspension joint. This is typically felt by a sudden jerk forward after the car comes to a stop and is a leading cause of "sloppy" or "loose" suspension feel. By replacing the bushing with a full polyurethane unit or using a bushing insert, this play is eliminated since the suspension joint is being supported by a much stiffer material that will not harden or shrink over time. Additionally, the inherent stiffness of the urethane material translates body forces much more directly. This means steering inputs from the driver are effectively transferred to the wheels and vital road information is transmitted properly from the wheels to the driver.
