Whether it is installing new wider wheels, tires, brake ducts, shocks, or springs, there could be a rubbing issue on the inside of your fender well. Our rack stops will help protect your investment. Rack stops are spacers that install inside of the tie rod and limits the amount of steering travel. You can save the costs of replacing rubbing tires, worn out brake ducts, cut shock reservoir hoses, and broken underside plastic panels. There is also the added benefit of knowing you can turn the steering wheel to full lock and not be worried that the wheels will rub. Our rack stop length is the approximate length that will be removed from the outside tire wall�s path. For example, if a 16mm rack stop is used, there will be 16mm more clearance for a brake duct between the fender well and the edge of the tire. Included with this kit: 2 Delrin rack stops, 1 black (driver�s side), 1 white (passenger�s side), 2 Locking plates (only needed on E36), 4 zip ties, detailed instructions.

Since 2010, Advanced Auto Fabrication has been producing and developing both parts and full fledged race cars. Their knowledge base covers a wide range of vehicles both domestic and imported. In the specific case of BMW, the team at AAF has a particular affinity for building and designing components for BMW race cars. These Backing Plates by Advanced Auto Fabrication feature a large “Pocket” to allow for more efficient air flow into the brake hat. This allows air to travel through the vents in the rotor. AAF's Backing Plate is the full size of the rotor and is a heat shield for the shocks and ball joints. Heating of your shock oil causes oil thinning, which changes the shock dampening characteristics. Protecting your ball joints from heat will improve longevity and prevent premature wear. The backing plates are powder coated black for extra durability and attractive aesthetics. They replace the OEM dust shields, and will need to be removed before installation.

AAF is proud to introduce their redesigned AAF E46 M3 Brake Cooling Duct Kit! Features: Extremely Light Weight – Less than 4 lbs in total! Ultra-High Airflow Inlets Tight Turning Radius Easy and Quick To Install Inexpensive to Buy and Maintain Durable for Racing Conditions Designed strong and lightweight these brake duct inlets include a massive 4' inlet. Ultimately this aids in providing higher airspeed and pressure to the brake rotor and thus better brake cooling. Inlets are manufactured by AAF in-house with a 3D printer to provide a strong and inexpensive part. Brake duct tubes included in this kit are made from lightweight and strong ABS plastic. Shaped for optimized airflow, these tubes also provide the ability for a tight turning radius even with large racing tires. Per AAF: for a SPEC E46 with the spec 255 Toyo tire, you can turn 1.5 turns from straight without hitting the tubes, which is more than enough for driving around the paddock.
