This is the original Supersprint street rear muffler for the E46 M3. It's a direct replacement for the stock rear muffler but with less restriction and better flow. This exhaust is not overly loud (conforming to European noise restrictions) and no drone but is larger and heavier than the other Supersprint mufflers. It makes a deeper tone than with slightly more rasp than the stock system.

Supersprint revised their rear muffler designs to offer this 'Generation 2' version - smaller body and freer flow than the standard Supersprint muffler but quieter and more civilized than the full Lightweight Racing mufflers. It's still lighter than the stock original or standard Supersprint mufflers.
