When it comes to shopping for exhausts you want to find one that suits your driving style and sound preference. While one part of you wants to have a loud and aggressive sounding exhaust, there is another part of you that knows you don't want to wake up the neighborhood or annoy your significant other. Finally the answer to your dilemma, thanks to our engineers at Turner you no longer need to choose between rowdy and tame. With your new light-weight performance exhaust you have the option to go from tame and tasteful to loud and rowdy.
Our Valved exhaust was designed specifically for your E46 and there are no other options on the market like this. Control the tone and volume of your exhaust with the click of a button. With the valves closed you have a nice low tone and hearty exhaust note. When the valves are open you get complete unrestricted access to sound and power for when your at the track or just in the mood to let it rip.
Our Turner catback features dual 2.0" stainless steel mid-pipes that connect directly to your factory downpipes. Within the mid-pipes is an integrated x pipe for a smooth flowing center section with lower amounts of back pressure which leads to increased performance and a smoother exhaust tone. The 2.0" mid-pipes crossover and flow into a 3" exhaust section and full 3" valved muffler. The muffler features integrated 3" exhaust tips for an aggressive look that fills out your rear diffuser to get the perfect appearance.
Valved exhausts of this caliber can be found on new performance models, super cars and overall cars way above the price ranges of a nice E46. Surprisingly enough some E46's did come with a type of vacuum actuated mufflers which opened and closed the exhaust under certain rpm ranges, unfortunately by now the factory valve is damaged or the muffler no longer actuates. Although the factory valved muffler on E46's were great in theory, there was very little change in tone and was limited by your driving style. Taking notes from the original engineering process from BMW, our engineers revitalized this cool technology and made it better. The final product is a light-weight performance exhaust that features superior valving and show stopping aesthetics!

Our catback is a lightweight and free-flowing exhaust that features two independent valved mufflers and an ingenious mounting system that is a pleasure to install and easy to perfectly dial in the exhaust fitment. Weighing 19lbs or less than your factory exhaust, featuring mufflers specifically designed for the S54 this exhaust is able to provide two completely different driving experiences.
With the exhaust valves closed the refined driving experience will blow your mind; while daily driving with closed valves there is a perfect bump in volume over the factory exhaust which allows you to hear and feel your rpms with a smooth exhaust note that shows your true passion for your iconic vehicle. Now on to the real action, what you have always wanted but never wanted to commit to. Some days you just want to put the pedal to the floor with unlimited amounts of exhaust volume with your high revving 6 cylinder. Here is your opportunity to unleash the pure sound of your S54 while having the choice to change back to a respectable volume exhaust. With the valves open this exhaust is an absolute mental, untamable racecar. Starting off from a stop with the valves open there is a significant increase in volume over the valves closed. When entering in to the 2000 rpm range you begin to experience the slightest taste of how satisfying the exhaust is going to sound. As you approach 4,000 rpms and higher you now have started to open up the can of worms, you can feel the free flowing path of the exhaust with limited to no resistance, far superior to the factory exhaust. Anything after 6500 rpms is an absolute statement of exhaust. Over 6500 rpm is a sonorous note that lives rent free in the enthusiasts mind that can make a believer out of anyone who doubted the capable E46 M3. Once you are done having your fun and have experienced your S54 more than you ever have all you do is make one button click on your valve controller and you are back to high class and refinement. When we set out to build an exhaust for the BMW E46 323/328, we knew it needed to match how you drive and how you want your car to sound. We also know that while many drivers wish for an aggressive, head-turning exhaust note, they don’t always want the volume all the time. That’s why we engineered this lightweight Turner Motorsport performance exhaust system with a fully valved muffler, giving you the ability to switch between a refined, quiet tone and a loud, spirited sound at any moment.
Our new Turner Cat-Back Exhaust is the first valved rear section designed specifically for the E46 323/328. With the included remote controller, you can change your exhaust tone with a simple click. With the valve closed, the system delivers a smooth, deep, tasteful note for daily driving. Open the valve, and you unlock an aggressive, free-flowing exhaust tone that brings out the full character of the M52 engine, perfect for track days or anytime you want maximum sound and performance.
For maximum flow and durability, we built this system using dual 2.0" T304 stainless steel mid-pipes that bolt directly to your factory downpipes. Inside the mid-section, we integrated an X-pipe to balance exhaust pulses, reduce backpressure, increase performance, and smooth the exhaust note. The dual 2.0" mid-pipes merge into a 3.0" axle-back section and a full 3.0" valved muffler, finished with bold 3.0" integrated tips that perfectly fill the E46 rear bumper.
Modern performance cars use valved exhaust systems as standard equipment, but the E46 never truly benefited from that technology. Some early E46 models used a basic vacuum-controlled valve, but after nearly 20 years, most are no longer functional. By studying BMW’s original concept and improving it with modern engineering, we created a lightweight, high-performance valved exhaust that gives your BMW E46 323/328 modern sound control, better flow, and a dramatically enhanced driving experience.
