Similarly to brake pads, the brake rotors can be matched to specific driving conditions and intended use. For solely street use the design and characteristics particular to each rotor are not big factors in overall braking performance. For instance, a cross-drilled rotor will not significantly improve braking under street conditions. Improved stopping performance will come mostly from your brake pads. Some rotor designs perform better under racing conditions with racing pads but, generally, all rotor types can be used on the street. For race track use we typically recommend a slotted or blank stock rotor. Any 2-piece floating rotor is superior to anything else and those are our first recommendation when available. For more information on the brake rotors we sell, check out our rotor buying guide.

All of these rotors are manufactured to meet BMW's specs for each vehicle application. Our standard rotors are sourced from original manufacturers for BMW (OEM), performance alternatives, or straight from BMW themselves. In some cases BMW Motorsport and BMW Performance will have their own rotor upgrades. Our Cross-Drilled, Slotted, and Drilled+Slotted rotors are manufacturered by StopTech - a global leader in braking technology and the braking technical partner to the Turner Motorsport racing team.

GiroDisc presents its 2-piece rotors tailored for BMW's E46 M3 Competition Package (ZCP) and CSL models, providing a direct replacement for the stock 345mm rotors. These rotors redefine performance, weighing only 17.5 lbs per rotor, compared to the factory 19 lbs, resulting in a significant reduction of unsprung weight and rotational mass at the front axle.

Crafted from a proprietary high-carbon iron casting to GiroDisc’s exacting standards, these rotor rings offer unparalleled durability. Featuring 48 curved vanes acting as a centrifugal pump, they draw air through the hub for optimal cooling even during intense usage.

The 2-piece construction allows for a reusable hat, offering ease of maintenance. Replacement is simplified by attaching new rings (part number D1-012) to the existing hat.

Each essential component, from the hats to the rotor rings and drive pins, is meticulously crafted in-house at GiroDisc's Bellingham, WA facility, using domestically sourced materials. The hat is made from 6061-T6 aluminum with a sleek black anodized coating, while the drive pins are crafted from a robust steel alloy and plated with cadmium for enhanced corrosion resistance.

These rotors seamlessly integrate with common aftermarket caliper setups and stock sliding calipers found on ZCP and CSL models, including compatibility with Brembo calipers from Porsche 996 and Megane RS swaps.

Specifications:

  • Diameter: 345mm
  • Thickness: 28mm
  • Weight: 17.5 lbs per rotor assembly

With race-ready float ensured by spring clips and Belleville washers, these rotors deliver high performance on the track while maintaining street-friendly characteristics with no noise from loose hardware. Experience the pinnacle of braking excellence with GiroDisc's E46 M3 rotors.
