Every 60-80,000 miles, we recommend replacing your spark plugs to ensure your ignition system is running optimally. When your CPV O-ring fails it causes a slow oil leak on the passenger side of the engine, making an oily mess that frequently resembles a rear main seal leak. Replacing the CPV with an upgraded o-ring ensures a long-term solution to this common problem. 

The factory o-ring over time fails from heat cycling and oil exposure due to the Buna rubber used in OEM o-rings, while the included Viton Fluoroelastomer is resistant to a much higher temperature to ensure prolonged life without leaking.

Located on the intake side of the cylinder head, this sensor relays the position of the camshaft to the computer in order to determine proper ignition timing. When this sensor fails the engine will generally log a fault code and may place the vehicle into "limp" mode. When this happens it is advised to stop driving the vehicle and address the issue immediately as premature wear or long term damage to the engine is possible.

Keeping the oil inside your engine is extremely important to performance. Between oil change intervals, your oil can dip to dangerous levels if there is a leak you may not be aware of. The valve cover is an extremely common place for this to happen. BMW straight six engines are notorious for leaky valve cover gaskets. Years of exposure to extreme temperature change degrades the gaskets and causes failure.
