Anyone with a modified N54 knows the risks involved. Upping the performance of any engine can come with some inherent risk; if we add more boost but not fuel, detonation will occur (or worse). Furthermore, improper installation, maintenance, or operation can turn a perfectly healthy engine into a paperweight. The worst failures, however, are the ones we don't plan for. When the engine simply can't handle the stresses its put under, or the design is such that it simply does not support extreme conditions. Enter the N54 crank hub. Under certain conditions, it likes to spin without warning, even when the engine is in perfect health. The engineers at Vargas saw and dealt with this problem time and again, and they saw fit to do something about it. This hub uses a proprietary "Spline Lock" technology that uses high tolerance machined splines that press into the crank and positively lock the hub to the crank. The splines are machined in such a way that rotational forces drive the hub, and splines deeper into the crank meaning when the hub encounters a situation that would normally slip a stock hub the splined hub is driven into the crank to keep it in place (much like a splined extractor). Vargas spent many months testing, and retesting this design, utilizing well over 10 different samples to come to the final production version. During testing, the final hub managed to break the testing rig before slipping. These have been bench-tested, and real-world tested on the VTT N54 race car spinning 8K RPM, and making well over 900WHP. Looking to get the most efficient turbocharger operation out of your N54 powered BMW? The best way to do this is to remove all restrictions from the inlet, and charge tract. The factory charge pipe has a very small 1″ opening and a poorly designed Y section that couples the two banks into one before entering the intercooler. This VTT N54 Aluminum outlet gets rid of those restrictions and provides a full 1.5″ from the turbochargers to a smooth Y transition into a 2.5″ outlet to fit most aftermarket intercoolers. Do not be fooled by companies trying to sell you oversized 2″ charge pipes, these are not going to pick up any power, and will kill velocity. The smallest diameter you can run while still providing adequate flow is always best for flow velocity and reducing time to TQ. This outlet is powder-coated black for a durable finish. The outlet is available in V-band connection for Stock, Stage 1, Stage 2, Stage 2+, any aftermarket turbo that uses the stock connection (RB, Pure, TTE, ETC. VTT is proud to offer their billet replacement for the factory plastic vacuum tanks that store vacuum from the pump and use it to regulate boost via the solenoids. The stock plastic can and small plastic nipples on the stock cans have a tendency to crank over time, and if they leak you will get low boost, or no boost, and poor performance. These cans do away with the weak plastic cans while adding some pop, and color to your engine bay. These vacuum cans retain ALL of the factory provisions including mounting points but come with 90-degree fittings for easier routing of the lines VTT's cans are made of 6061-T6 aluminum, and anodized in 4 colors for beauty, and long life. They also knurl the cans for a very distinct look in the engine bay! VTT also designed these cans to complement their N54 Billet lineup – N5X Billet Oil caps, N5XBillet Oil filter housing caps, Billet coolant cap, Billet valve cover, billet oil cooler block off plate, and Billet Power Steering cap, and so on. This is a high quality replacement OEM VDO Mass Air Sensor.The MAF controls the amount of fuel that goes through the injectors based on the volume of air coming through the intake. If your vehicle is giving you a MAF code, replace it immediately to ensure you get the best gas mileage and performance. It is common for this part to fail slowly and cause poor fuel mileage and hampered performance. When it fails completely, the vehicle will stutter and stall as it falls into a limp mode. One way to check if your MAF is bad is to unplug the connector before starting your car. If it idles well (compared to a previous poor idle), your MAF needs replaced. This is a complete plug and play solution to replace your stock Low-Pressure Fuel Pump (LPFP) with a new E85 certified bucketless assembly.

This solution provides up to 25% more flow than our standard Stage 2 LPFP upgrade and up to 150% more flow than the stock pump.

This pump will support up to 550whp running 85% ethanol and 600whp running 50% ethanol.

The Stage 2 bucketless kit includes the following:

- A custom anodized billet fitting for the pump output and stock fuel line connection.
- Our custom billet aluminum anodized bracket for the pump and float assembly
- Two cotter pins to secure your float assembly
- A new E85 compatible Walbro 450 pump
- Spare vent tube clip
- A new Walbro filter

If you still need more flow, the Stage 3 upgrade is also available and can be added to your Stage 2 bucketless pump.

The Stage 3 upgrade kit includes:

- A complete plug and play solution by simply adding the secondary module
- Our custom billet aluminum fitting to run both pumps in parallel
- A new E85 compatible Walbro 450 pump
- Wiring harness for the secondary pump
- Spare vent tube clip
- A new Walbro filter

Recommended accessories:

NOTE: These kits include a basic filter assembly. When using this filter, running the vehicle under low fuel conditions can cause fuel starvation issues. If you do hard straight line accelerations when you have less than 1/8 tank of fuel, we would recommend running our standard Stage 2, 3, or Stage 4 pump. In addition, if you intend to use this for road course applications, you may see starvation issues when running less than a half tank and doing long high G right turns. Again for those applications we'd recommend one of our standard pump applications.

This cap does away with the weak plastic cap and the need for a special tool for removal, while adding some pop and color to your engine bay.
