In some cases, the OEM hub flange extends farther than the thickness of the spacer. This creates a need for a larger chamfer on the spacer for adequate wall thickness. ECS's 10mm spacer is designed to be compatible with OEM wheels; however, in some instances, it is incompatible with certain aftermarket wheel options. A simple fix is to switch to either an 8mm or 12.5mm spacer.

This caliper bushing kit will eliminate flex caused by weak rubber caliper bushings. As the brake pedal is pressed the caliper grabs the rotor and twists on its mounting bushings. The rubber bushings allow the caliper to deflect and twist which affects pedal feel and results in uneven pad wear. These solid brass bushings will not twist or deflect so your calipers can squeeze the pads evenly on both sides of the rotor (sort of like what multi-piston big brakes do). This will give you much longer pad life and a more consistent pedal feel. This is the most complete kit we have ever sold with stainless steel caliper slide bolts, o-rings, and new dust boots. Unlike other kits, these bushings are pressed into the caliper and will not shift or slide on their own.
Installation is straightforward: remove the old rubber bushings and press in the new brass bushings (we recommend special tool 003326ECS03). High temp caliper grease or anti-seize is required. The new bushings include an inner o-ring that helps trap grease on the slide bolt, reducing friction and wear.

For most models with floating calipers. Fits the rear of E90/2 and E60, but for the front you'll need the kit found here. Does not fit E30 models with Girling calipers, but is compatible with Ate calipers.
Worn rubber differential mounts will lead to the differential twisting and shifting around in the rear subframe. Not only will this be noisy but it's bad for driver confidence and bad for the chassis as well. Even on fresh rubber bushings the differential has deflection and twist, especially if the car has been modified for more torque. Since the differential is centrally mounted in the rear subframe, with all suspension mounts interconnected, a differential with too much deflection will affect handling and could even damage the rear subframe.
These 88A urethane E46 M3 diff mounts are much stiffer than stock but still not as solid as our Turner aluminum/Delrin bushings. This set will resist twisting much better than the stock rubber mounts. Included is the front diff mount and two rear mounts in the cover.

The SFI Foundation, Inc. (SFI) is a non-profit organization established to issue and administer standards for the quality assurance of specialty performance and racing equipment. Notably, these polyurethane bushings achieve these benefits without the harshness or vibration often linked to delrin or solid differential mounts.
Manufactured using a robust 88A durometer polyurethane and a black anodized 6061-T6 aluminum sleeve, these bushings offer superior resistance to chemicals, ozone degradation, road salt, and general wear and tear. This translates to an extended service life.
These 2-piece floating rotors help dissipate heat better than a standard cast iron rotor and are also lighter for less unsprung weight. Managing heat in the brake system is vital to braking performance, especially on the track or when driven hard. It's why your brake rotors have internal vanes that vent heat as the rotor spins. These 2-piece ECS rotors feature an outer cast iron friction surface ring that is separate from the aluminum center hat. This allows better airflow through the vanes and for the friction ring can expand as it gets hot. The rotors are also cross-drilled for better ventilation and slotted to improve brake pad performance.

APEX light alloy wheels are the next evolution in flow-forged wheel technology for BMWs. Flow-forming is a semi-forging process that produces a wheel typically stronger than a traditional cast wheel yet is still light weight. The wheels are around 10lbs lighter per wheel than a comparable factory wheel! That's reduced unsprung weight that improves all aspects of performance. The spokes and barrel have been designed to allow generous clearance for big brakes. In other words, these wheels are very impressively engineered and look great too! The design is based on classic motorsport themes that blend with BMW styling and appearance. These wheels look right at home on many BMW models. Multiple color and profile options allow you to set just the right look and stance for your car. As well as being pleasing to the eye these are very strong and functional wheels that are at home on the street as well as the racetrack. Don't let the price fool you - these wheels are high quality, high strength, and in high demand.
All APEX wheels are the BMW standard 5/120 bolt pattern and with a 72.6mm center bore. They are a direct fit many BMW models and may fit other models with a specific wheel spacer. The original BMW center cap, TPMS sensors, and original lug bolts are all carried over from your original wheels (wheel bolts may vary if spacers are used). They come in a wide variety of diameter, width, and offset combinations which gives you multiple fitment and application opportunities. For street use we generally recommend a staggered setup with a rear wheel slightly wider than the front. For track and racing applications a square setup is desired with the same width in the front and rear. Wheel offsets may also vary based on the clearances and stance you wish to achieve. The main reason all of the VANOS units will eventually fail is because the material used for the sealing rings from the factory is not designed for that type of environment. When this happens the only option that BMW leaves you with is buying a new and expensive VANOS unit with the same sealing rings that failed in your original unit.
The VANOS system found in BMW engines is a great feature (when it’s working properly), keeping your power curve smooth and responsive especially in lower to mid RPM range. What usually goes unnoticed is the gradual loss of power within this range as the vehicle's age due to slowly failing seals within the VANOS unit. The way the VANOS system works is based off of oil pressure triggered by a solenoid that allows for a small range of timing degree adjustment, this is where the power curve is affected. When the seals begin to fail (all of them do) there is less pressure to advance the timing reducing the power in that low to mid range. Because this happens slowly it's very hard to notice a difference until you refresh your VANOS unit, then you easily realize the response you've been missing.
There are a number of symptoms that will plague your car as a result of these failing seals such as erratic idle, engine hesitation, stalling, and increased fuel consumption to name a few. If you've been chasing down any of these symptoms with no fix then this could be your issue.
While you're replacing the seals in your VANOS unit it a good time to install anti-rattle spacers to tighten up the gaps in your stock assembly and get rid of that noisy VANOS clatter.
Seals & O-rings:
The seals were the main focus of this project since the OE units are built with Buna-N rubber o-rings instead of the ECS supplied Viton rubber o-rings. The Buna-N material quickly hardens from the heat and chemical exposure within the engine, where the Viton is significantly more resistant to these chemicals. This knowledge was also used when it came to the commonly failed o-rings found on the VANOS seal plate, replaced at the solenoid.
Rattle Repair:
When it comes to the VANOS rattle this is commonly described as "marbles in a can", and can be heard throughout the different RPM ranges depending on the engine. These upgraded rings and washers are precision ground from hardened steel to resist wear and deformation keeping your VANOS rattle free. The rattle repair tools are designed specifically for this VANOS anti-rattle repair, design from hardened steel to stand up to the job. Designed to perfectly follow the splines of the shaft for a tight grip when applying the necessary torque to disassemble & reassemble the VANOS transfer gear. The keyed socket was designed with the intent to use a "common" wrench so this can be completed at home in your garage.
When Servicing your VANOS unit we recommend getting everything you need to replace on the way to service which includes an oil change and valve cover gasket set. Fresh oil and gaskets is the best way to start off a fresh rebuild of any kind giving you the maximum performance of your freshly serviced components.

Unfortunately, this material choice falls short when it comes to performance applications. Under extreme load conditions, this bushing is prone to flexing, resulting in driveshaft misalignment. To address the shortcomings of the factory rubber center support carrier design, ECS engineers developed a set of precision-fit, split polyurethane bushings that secure tightly around the existing driveshaft bearing. Constructed from 30A durometer polyurethane, this material eliminates bushing deflection while maintaining minimal noise, vibration, and harshness (NVH). By eliminating deflection, this innovative solution not only improves durability but also ensures a significantly longer service life than the OEM center support bearing—making it an excellent upgrade for aging BMW chassis.

Shifter slop is a common complaint among all BMW models. Some of that play comes from the bushings where the shifter carrier mounts to the transmission. The original rubber carrier bushings don't last very long and when they get too soft the shifter flops around. These Delrin bushings have almost no deflection and will last much longer than the factory rubber, giving you precise shifting for many years.
Note: this is only one part of the shift linkage and there may be other components that need replacing to improve shifting feel.
