Introducing ECS Tuning in-house designed and engineered Functional Aero Rear Wing Kit! This kit is an all-in-one solution, providing your car with more downforce necessary to improve rear tire grip for improved handling. ECS kit includes all of the components necessary for a comprehensive install and feature top-tier quality components for long term durability, such as the carbon fiber wing, billet aluminum mounting brackets and uprights, Delrin decklid shims and black oxide stainless steel hardware. 

The Wing has an adjustable AOC (angle of attack) between 0° - 12° to perfect downforce: drag ratio. The end plates are adjustable for aerodynamic needs and the Delrin deck lid shims provide for a flat plane to bolt onto your trunk, if it has a sloped angle. 

PART DESIGN

• All components in-house designed and engineered to provide functional aerodynamic benefits using FARO ARM laser scanning technology and SolidWorks 3D CAD modeling for precision fitment along with FEA (Finite Element Analysis) to provide the best balance between downforce while minimizing drag.

• Carbon Fiber Rear Wing:

  • Available in common sizes to suit your needs; 60", 65" and 70" widths

  • Made from lightweight, hand-laid carbon fiber material with pre-impregnated 2x2 twill weave carbon fiber cloth and epoxy resin, then autoclave cured and finished in a durable gloss clear coat for UV and heat protection

  • Eppler 423 high lift airfoil profile

  • Peak Cd/Cl ratio is at 5 degrees angle of attack

  • Cl peaks and begins dropping at 12 degrees angle of attack

  • Cd remains below 0.02 below 10 degrees angle of attack

  • 3D wing profile with forward and upward curvature

  • Anodized aluminum threaded inserts at the wing ends and mounting bosses

• Wing End Plates:

  • Aerodynamic profile, made from 12ga 5052 aluminum, then black anodized 

  • Adjustable end plate angle 

  • Includes stainless steel mounting hardware

• Upper Mounting Brackets:

  • Made from 6061-T6 billet aluminum, then black anodized

  • Adjustable pitch to dial in the spoiler's angle of attack between 0° to12°

  • Includes M8 stainless steel, black oxide hardware 

  • Subtle, post-anodized engraved logo 

• Wing Uprights:

  • Made from 6061-T6 billet aluminum, then black anodized

  • Approximately 11.0" overall height from pivot to mount 

• Lower Mounting Brackets:

  • Made from 6061-T6 billet aluminum, then black anodized

  • Includes M8 stainless steel, black oxide hardware 

  • Large backing washers included for base bracket pull out

• Lowering Mount Shim Pack:

  • Made from Delrin 2700 material 

  •  Suited for trunks with slope along the width of the decklid 

  • Includes one pair of each; 2.0°, 4.0° and 6.0° to suit most decklid slopes 

PERFORMANCE FEATURES

• Assists with rear tire contact by applying downforce over rear axle. This is not only best suited for RWD platforms but is found very beneficial on FWD vehicles where rear traction loss may occur at high speed cornering. 

• Our wing produces up to 100 lbf of downforce when measured at 80mph, 200 lbf at 120mph and 300 lbf at 140mph 

• Performance data metrics are collected utilizing our in-house FEA (Finite Element Analysis) software to validate our design 

PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT

• Our ECS Functional Aerodynamic Rear Wing Kit was designed, engineered, tested and quality inspected by our Research and Development team in our Wadsworth, Ohio facility. We strive for the highest level of precision and quality through leading-edge product development technology including FARO laser scanning for reverse engineering and quality inspection, SolidWorks 3D CAD modeling, rapid prototyping utilizing our in-house 3D printer, and rigorous long term product testing.

INSTALLATION AND SUPPORT

• Will require drilling / cutting into the body for permanent installation. Professional installation is highly advised. 

• They do not recommend a wing width that is wider than your footprint
