Arc Terminator now offers upgraded EKMP3 Fuel Pump Control Modules featuring a 22 Amp INCREASE in maximum current capacity over an OEM EKPM3. This allows for more current to be supplied to your low-pressure fuel pump (LPFP) without risking thermal overload, which often leads to your car shutting down. This means that you won't have to worry about being stranded on the side of the road while waiting for your EKP module to cool down, especially when you've installed a large low-pressure fuel pump such as a Walbro 525lph. How does the integrated automatic cooling work? The integrated automatic cooling works by us installing a thermal activation switch directly onto the new half bridge IC. When the half bridge IC reaches 50°C, the 40mm fan will turn on and keep running until the IC is below 50°C or until the EKMP3 stops receiving power. I have an EKPM2, can I upgrade to this? Yes. You can upgrade to this. We recommend using the HW05 and below module. You will need to code it in order for it to function properly. Can I run more than 1 low-pressure fuel pump off of this module? No. We do not recommend that you use more than one low-pressure fuel pump with any EKP module due to the factory wiring supplying power to the EKP Module is only 12 gauge, which is not rated for the type of power demands that two low-pressure fuel pumps would require.

A common cause of check engine light and limp mode after running the car hard. Restarting the car commonly clears the code and/or limp mode. This low-pressure fuel sensor is commonly a cause of an "Increased Emissions" warning on the idrive and for check engine (SES) lights on BMW's with the N54 6 cylinder turbo engine or the S65 V8 engine in the M3. It will also fit a limited number of cars with the N55 engine. This sensor can be traced to a number of drivability issues, including cold start running problems, misfires, stumbling, hesitations, and overall rough running. You will likely have a code for the misfires, rich condition, or for the sensor itself. In some cases, the combination of codes can bring about a limp mode. Despite the fact that BMW engineers some of the worlds most revered engines, during number crunching something always has to be a compromise. One item that is always found to be a weak point- the OEM hardware. It is definitely sub-par for real performance use under high stress such as modded engines and track use. We use these fasteners on all of VAC's in-house head builds. Whenever the head is coming off, your switching to forced induction, or if you are simply prepping to drive your car hard; we highly recommend switching to far superior race-grade hardware. These Head Stud Kits greatly improve reliability; helping to eliminate movement of the of the cylinder head and intern, gasket failure caused by inferior OEM head-bolt stretch. This is the #1 cause of premature head gasket failure, especially on boosted or high output engines. Though more expensive than OEM, converting to one of VAC's head studs kits will not only give added strength and reliability when its needed most, but provides the most accurate torque readings because studs don’t “twist” into the block; all clamping forces are on one axis, and there is less force exerted on the normally stressed threads of the block. This increases block and hardware life and typically makes the head easier to properly install to the block, a blessing if your head may have to be removed more than once. Especially in the time crunch of racing, when engines are dissembled frequently, studs make removing and installing the cylinder head on to the block a much easier task. By allowing the studs to act as a guide on to the head, your head slides on and off and also ensures proper alignment of the head and gasket for the same reason. It is similar to converting your wheel-bolts to wheel-studs.

This fully plug-and-play EKPM3 / EKPM2 cooler kit is designed specifically for E9X BMWs using an EKPM3 or EKPM2 fuel pump control module. This is recommended for anyone using a low-pressure fuel pump that is larger than the OEM fuel pump. Please note that if you have an HW06 + (Slim EKPM3), you must choose the HW06 option, as the pre-HW06 housings will not fit. If you have an M3, you must choose an EKPM2 style cooler since the EKP Module has the same physical dimensions as an EKPM2. Installation Tips: https://arcterminator.com/pages/e90-e92-e93-ekp-cooler-install-instructions We recommend using Fuse #8 (2007+ E9X), which is the cigarette lighter fuse to power this. It is a 20 amp fuse, which you will just need to pull out and put into the empty slot of the fuse holder that comes with the kit. Then you'll need to put that fuse holder into the now empty #8 fuse slot. This ensures that the fan will only turn on when the ignition in the car is turned on. You'll also need trim removal tools, as well as a 10mm socket to remove and re-install the EKP module. We recommend using the stock grounding point that's above the EKP module or the EKP module's mounting points as the ground. The ring terminal with the kit will fit either location. The whole installation should take you between 30 - 45 minutes. The EKPM3 and EKPM2 have been shown to overheat and cause vehicle shutdown issues when larger fuel pumps that draw more current than OEM are used. This is a complete Low-Pressure Fuel Pump (LPFP) upgrade that replaces your stock LPFP assembly with a new E85 certified one. This solution provides up to 300% more flow than stock and this assembly can be purchased one of three ways to meet your needs. Trade-in: (Domestic and Canada) This option allows you to receive a rebuilt/upgraded stock bucket with two new Walbro 450 pumps, filters, and fittings to swap out your stock LPFP assembly and requires a $150 *core deposit. Trade-in: (Euro) This option allows you to receive a rebuilt/upgraded stock bucket with two new Walbro 450 pumps, filters, and fittings to swap out your stock LPFP assembly and requires a $300 *core deposit. New Build: This option includes a new VDO LPFP bucket that is upgraded with new Walbro 450 pumps, filters, and fittings. No core deposit required but is eligible for a core refund of $50 should you elect to return your *stock bucket. This is a complete plug and play solution to replace your stock Low-Pressure Fuel Pump (LPFP) with a new E85 certified bucketless assembly.

This solution provides up to 25% more flow than our standard Stage 2 LPFP upgrade and up to 150% more flow than the stock pump.

This pump will support up to 550whp running 85% ethanol and 600whp running 50% ethanol.

The Stage 2 bucketless kit includes the following:

- A custom anodized billet fitting for the pump output and stock fuel line connection.
- Our custom billet aluminum anodized bracket for the pump and float assembly
- Two cotter pins to secure your float assembly
- A new E85 compatible Walbro 450 pump
- Spare vent tube clip
- A new Walbro filter

If you still need more flow, the Stage 3 upgrade is also available and can be added to your Stage 2 bucketless pump.

The Stage 3 upgrade kit includes:

- A complete plug and play solution by simply adding the secondary module
- Our custom billet aluminum fitting to run both pumps in parallel
- A new E85 compatible Walbro 450 pump
- Wiring harness for the secondary pump
- Spare vent tube clip
- A new Walbro filter

Recommended accessories:

NOTE: These kits include a basic filter assembly. When using this filter, running the vehicle under low fuel conditions can cause fuel starvation issues. If you do hard straight line accelerations when you have less than 1/8 tank of fuel, we would recommend running our standard Stage 2, 3, or Stage 4 pump. In addition, if you intend to use this for road course applications, you may see starvation issues when running less than a half tank and doing long high G right turns. Again for those applications we'd recommend one of our standard pump applications.
