Common point of failure is the N52/N54 Oil Filter Housing Gasket. When leaks occur here, oil can get on your belts, among other important components, causing engine failure. Replace yours today to avoid future troubles!

From the factory, BMW S65 valve cover bolts feature integrated non-serviceable grommets. These rubber seals tend to weaken, becoming brittle after years of heat and oil exposure. Replacing these bolts and integrated grommets can total over $280

To address this issue, NRW has developed a solution: a silicone replica of the factory rubber grommet, boasting a superior heat resistance of 170 degrees Celsius compared to the original's 120 degrees Celsius. Each kit contains 26 grommets, enough to service both valve covers.

The VANOS system on your N51, N52, and N54 engine controls the valve timing inside the engine. The system is hydraulically operated based on instructions from the engine computer. It's very complex and BMW has not yet perfected the system. The VAN0S solenoid is the actuator that takes instruction from the ECU and activates the VANOS unit on the front of the engine. When the solenoid is failing (or failed) you can end up with a rough running engine, misfires, bad fuel economy, lack of power, and more. It should trigger multiple fault codes and a check engine light for misfires, camshaft control, VAN0S solenoid, boost pressure control, and maybe others. It's important to thoroughly troubleshoot fault codes but VAN0S solenoids are a known issue with these engines.

The VANOS solenoids are located on the front of the engine and may be replaced without removing many other components. In some cases, you may be able to remove the suspect one, clean it, reinstall, and reset your fault codes. If your fault codes come back it's a strong indication that a replacement is required. Or you can buy the new solenoid and replace instead of doing the work twice.

VANOS solenoid for the intake and exhaust are the same part number. Order 2 if you want to replace them both.

When doing any sort of repair or maintenance there is no replacement for genuine factory parts. Turner Motorsport carries the Genuine BMW brand with pride and has the parts you need to complete your next project with confidence.

We recommend replacing the solenoid sealing gaskets as well when replacing the solenoid. You can find these under T#363393

Valvetronic Actuator Replacement Kit

Revitalize your engine's Valvetronic system with the Valvetronic Actuator Replacement Kit. This comprehensive kit includes the Valvetronic actuator, actuator gasket, and valve cover gaskets, ensuring a complete overhaul for optimal performance. Crafted to OEM specifications, these components guarantee precise fitment and reliable functionality. Say goodbye to Valvetronic issues and restore your engine's efficiency with this all-in-one replacement kit.

The factory magnesium valve covers on the S65 engine are known for developing micro-porosity, corrosion, and persistent oil leaks over time. This material is highly susceptible to oxidation, leading to unsightly surface imperfections, weakened gasket channels, and sealing issues that a simple gasket replacement won't fix.

Upgrade to this high-strength aluminum valve cover set, engineered as a direct-fit replacement for your aging OEM covers. Unlike magnesium, aircraft-grade aluminum offers superior durability, enhanced heat resistance, and complete immunity to the corrosion issues that plague factory covers. Whether you're refreshing a high-mileage M3 or seeking long-term reliability, this upgrade ensures a leak-free, worry-free solution for your S65.

This valve cover set includes gaskets, bolts, and oil separators for a comprehensive replacement.

Features:

Eliminates the common porosity and corrosion issues found in factory magnesium covers.

Helps maintain optimal engine temperatures and enhances long-term reliability.

Gloss red finish provides a much-needed boost in engine bay aesthetic.

Designed for an OEM-like installation without modifications.

Reduces the risk of oil leaks, ensuring a proper seal.

Resistant to oxidation and chemical exposure for a long-lasting clean look.
