E9X M3 Supersprint Sport Catalytic Converters with Test Pipes are designed to replace the stock primary and secondary catalytic converters with high flow sport cats. With eliminating one set of cats and enlarging the piping the improved flow will increase performance and throttle response as well as increase sound and reduce weight. The straight-flow cat design allows much better flow than the stock cats, giving a significant horsepower and torque gain and a throaty sound. Removing the very restrictive primary cats results in a 25hp gain!

Supersprint works closely with HJS to spec a catalytic converter that is correct for the vehicle and engine package. This allows for a substantial increase in flow but which, at the same time, keeps the environmental specs within European limits. With any high-flow catalytic converter, special software or other work may be required to keep emissions fault codes and check engine lights from displaying. Supersprint catalytic converters are sold for track and other off-road uses only.

Fitment Note: These sport cats were designed to be used only with the Supersprint section 2 x-pipe (p/n 980713) and Supersprint rear mufflers. Custom fabrication by an exhaust professional will be required to use these without the Supersprint exhaust sections. These cats include post-cat O2 sensor ports allowing for a complete installation by extending your original post-cat O2 sensors to the new location. Special Race software or module may still be required to keep the SES light and fault codes from appearing.

Many people know that one of the main keys to getting power from a turbo is to open up the exhaust. Larger piping and less restrictions mean the exhaust gas can flow more easily which is less work for the turbo(s) and engine and that frees up torque and horsepower. These 100-cell metallic sport cats sit in oversized 60-65mm piping and are perfect for someone who installed cat-less downpipes but want some catalytic action on the exhaust to avoid bad smells and pollution. There are no crushed sections in the tubing, unlike the factory system, which contributes to improved flow. These are a direct replacement for the stock secondary cats and bolt to the turbo downpipe. At the back end these are clamped to a section 2 (stock or Supersprint X-Pipe).

Supersprint sport cats for the E82 and E90/E92 are designed to work with their cat-less headers. The Supersprint sport cats are much freer-flowing than a traditional stock cat. With less restriction, less effort is required to move the exhaust gasses which will free up horsepower and torque. This cat section will mount to the Supersprint headers (p/n 789001) and then to connecting pipes for whichever section 2 you are using (p/n 789022). This section is built with O2 sensor bungs pre-installed after the cat if you wanted to extend your stock post-cat O2 sensors (however, special software may still be needed).

This set of mufflers are considered their 'street' system with only a modest increase in volume to give a hint of added performance without being obnoxious or annoying. This is a great set of mufflers for altering the exhaust note without drawing attention to yourself. You can also add additional Supersprint sections to better tune the exhaust to your preferances. This set uses the single 90mm round tip per side that fills in the bumper nicely. Another system is available that uses 4 80mm round tips.
