Designed with performance and load capacity in mind, King's SV Series bearings feature a Lead-free, tri-metal Silver-based overlay with a Babbitt plating made to provide seizure resistance. Ideal for extreme-load engines, it serves as an OE replacement and can be employed as a sputter replacement. A common cause of check engine light and limp mode after running the car hard. Restarting the car commonly clears the code and/or limp mode. Two different problem codes, 2A87 "Outlet-Vanos variable cam control test" and "2A82 Inlet-Vanos variable cam control test", are thrown indicating the possibility of various VANOS-related problems. If a solenoid valve needs to be replaced, this part is appropriate for both situations, outlet and inlet. Two required per car.

This low-pressure fuel sensor is commonly a cause of an "Increased Emissions" warning on the idrive and for check engine (SES) lights on BMW's with the N54 6 cylinder turbo engine or the S65 V8 engine in the M3. It will also fit a limited number of cars with the N55 engine. This sensor can be traced to a number of drivability issues, including cold start running problems, misfires, stumbling, hesitations, and overall rough running. You will likely have a code for the misfires, rich condition, or for the sensor itself. In some cases, the combination of codes can bring about a limp mode. Ignition coils are key to the efficiency and performance of your BMW. With a faulty coil the spark plug is not burning the air/fuel mixture properly and that can lead to problems anywhere in the engine and exhaust (including catalytic converters and O2 sensors). Problems with one or more coils will cause a fault code, but not always a check engine light. A misfire code may be related to an ignition coil, but could be from other things as well. ometimes, a visual inspection of a coil and coil boot will give an indication of a failure. You can also move coils around to different cylinder banks to see if the misfire code follows a suspect coil. We suggest always having one or two coils on hand to keep as spares.
