At Turner we are very familiar with the N55 and B58. These are the new generation engines that you you can pull quite a bit of power from quite easily, if you want to put the power to the pavement the factory bushings and reinforcement just wont cut it. With soo many performance parts available for the turbocharged engines, it is very easy to make power but keeping the car under control can be another story. Reduce wheel hop, extend the life of your bearings, and add stability to your chassis!

Our in-house engineers created a solution to help transfer the power to the ground, the result is a simple yet astounding improvement to the performance of your vehicle. The rear diff brace helps put power down by reducing wheel hop and preventing losses during power transfer. With the added rigidity the rear end feels tighter for high speed applications and will extend the life of your choice of OE or aftermarket bushings.

Soft factory rubber differential bushings absorb vibrations between the chassis and differential, providing comfort and softness for normal driving conditions. As these bushings wear you will experience lackluster performance/response and they will need to be replaced. You can extend the life of these bushings while providing increased chassis stability with our differential brace for your F chassis. Add new poly differential bushings for an even better experience (T#:656153)

We have always loved BMWs, but one of their shortcomings has always been shifter throw and feel. Even driving your new BMW ///M home from the dealership, you might realize that the shifter throw leaves something to be desired when you find your right hand in your backseat when shifting into fourth gear. Things only go downhill from here, as these cars increase in age and mileage shifts feel less and less precise. Our short shifter offers 32 to 40% reduction in throw over stock. Note that this short shifter differs from our typical Turner short shifter in that it is solely height adjustable, not throw.

Note that we did notice some resonance when testing on vehicles with factory base model shift knobs (25117596084 or 25117596086, etc). We recommend running ZHP, M, or M Performance to both avoid this and give your shifts the best feel.

From the factory, all BMW models are equipped with soft rubber or fluid-filled engine mounts. While these mounts perform well at isolating drivetrain vibrations, they are prone to degradation and allow for significant drivetrain movement. This often results in a loose-feeling driveline, missed shifts, and a generally disconnected driving feel.

To address these issues, We have developed a performance alternative. Constructed from 6061 Billet Aluminum, these mounts are built to last. While most performance drivetrain mounts feature solid or polyurethane-bonded aluminum construction, the engineers at Turner designed a unique four-piece design that disburses NVH (noise, vibration, and harshness). This multi-piece design offers the added benefit of serviceability. Additionally, encapsulating the polyurethane and adding a TecaPeek isolator prevents heat transfer to the insert, increasing the lifespan and durability of the mount.

Differential bushings are responsible for keeping the differential in solid alignment while dampening drivetrain vibration. While OE rubber bushings are fine when they are new from the factory, aged and worn out rubber bushings create a multitude of issues that can range from annoying to dangerous. As a factory bushing ages, it begins to harden and become brittle. When this happens the bushing will actually shrink and allow for movement at the differential mounting point. At this point, the differential is free to shift under load causing a noticeable clunking noise under acceleration and deceleration and massively increasing the stress on the driveshaft and axles. Manual transmissions suffer the worst from this as it can make shifting difficult since the differential will shift when the clutch is engaged and disengaged.

By replacing these bushings with full polyurethane, the movement is eliminated since the mounting point is supported by a much stiffer material that will not harden or shrink over time. This means less stress on the driveshaft and axles and greater longevity of supporting components.

This clutch is designed to work only with a SPEC single-mass flywheel and avoid the pitfalls of the stock OEM flywheel. The stock dual mass flywheel uses springs and rubber to isolate vibrations from the engine and transmission. However, on high mileage or abused flywheels the rubber can break down and the springs will become weak. A worn dual mass flywheel limits the amount of torque you can put out. It will affect clutch engagement, shifts, and power delivery. In some cases a total flywheel failure can rip apart the flywheel, clutch, and even transmission housing. With the SPEC single-mass flywheel the limitations of the stock flywheel are eliminated. The SPEC flywheel is a single mass design (no internal springs or rubber to fail) and is offered in a steel or aluminum material. The steel will better dampen vibration than the aluminum so it's the better choice for street use. The aluminum will have greater vibration and noise (gearbox rattle) that may not be acceptable for everyone. A sloppy shifter is one of the common complaints of older BMWs. In addition to the shifter linkage the transmission mounts contribute to rough and clunky shifting. BMW transmission mounts are rubber and get softer over time. This allows the transmission to dance around which changes the geometry of the shift linkage and could make it harder to shift. These urethane transmission bushings are stiffer than the stock rubber mounts and won't let the transmission shift around as much. The round design also has more surface area than the stock mounts which helps spread the load. Because the urethane is stiffer, expect more vibration to make its way into the shift lever area. Engine motor mounts should also be considered as a cause for driveline vibration, transmission movement, and poor shifting. Consider replacing your motor mounts at the same time as your tranny mounts.

The stock center support bearing carrier is engineered to minimize noise, vibration, and harshness (NVH) in the cabin by loosely securing the center bearing with a soft rubber bushing. However, this design allows the driveshaft to move off-center during launches and shifts, reducing throttle response and causing drivetrain oscillations. Over time, the rubber bushing can sag or dry rot, leading to misalignment of the driveshaft.

This upgrade features a simple yet highly effective 2-piece design that makes installation and bushing replacement effortless. The stock carrier is cut away, and the JXB bushings securely "clamp" the driveshaft bearing in place, ensuring constant driveshaft alignment.

The Street bushing option from JXB is the most popular choice, offering a significant improvement over the stock design while keeping NVH levels minimal.

Note: Some light NVH, such as a soft hum, may occur at certain speeds. However, with a modified exhaust or open windows, it’s unlikely to be noticeable.

Fits into the voids of OE bushings: 33316792513 Differential bushings are responsible for keeping the differential in solid alignment while dampening drivetrain vibration. While OE rubber bushings are fine when they are new from the factory, aged and worn out rubber bushings create a multitude of issues that can range from annoying to dangerous. As a factory bushing ages, it begins to harden and become brittle. When this happens the bushing will actually shrink and allow for movement at the differential mounting point. At this point, the differential is free to shift under load causing a noticeable clunking noise under acceleration and deceleration and massively increasing the stress on the driveshaft and axles. Manual transmissions suffer the worst from this as it can make shifting difficult since the differential will shift when the clutch is engaged and disengaged. By replacing these bushings with full polyurethane, the movement is eliminated since the mounting point is supported by a much stiffer material that will not harden or shrink over time. This means less stress on the driveshaft and axles and greater longevity of supporting components. Powerflex Black Series bushings are the ultimate in track and race bushings.
