When the integrated PCV diaphragm on your B58 tears, it causes a massive unmetered vacuum leak that pulls raw oil vapor directly into the combustion chambers. This doesn't just create a loud, embarrassing whistling noise at idle—it causes poor air/fuel mixtures that force raw, unburned fuel past the piston rings. This blow-by heavily dilutes your engine oil, destroying its ability to properly lubricate the bearings and timing chain. Fixing the PCV using this Bremmen repair kit (which saves you from buying an entirely new valve cover) is only half the battle. You absolutely must get that compromised oil out of the crankcase.
