BMW Brakes & Brake Parts for BMW 4 Series F33 (2014+)

This is a pair of FRONT 330mm rotors that fit the F30 328i/iX and F32 428i/iX with the optional M Sport trim package (option code P337A) but not the optional M Sport brake upgrade (option code S2NHA).

The M Sport trim package included the M Sport aero kit (front bumper), a sport steering wheel, and other trim pieces that made it different than a regular Sport package. It also included slightly larger front brakes (330mm vs 312mm) for better stopping performance when driven hard. There is another brake upgrade poorly named M Sport Brakes that was a separate option and could be ordered with any trim package (option code S2NHA). They were 340mm in diameter and also came with 4-piston Brembo calipers from the 335. The item you are looking at is only for the M Sport trim package with the 330mm rotors. BRAKE CALIPER PISTON TOOL SET:

The Schwaben 18-piece disk brake retractor tool kit screws brake caliper pistons back into their bores to make room needed for new brake pads. An essential tool for working on calipers with threaded pistons, the kit comes with both right-hand and left-hand thread screw jacks, press plate, and 15 different diameter press disks to fit a wide variety of vehicles, both import and domestic, including Audi, BMW, Ford, GM, Honda, Mazda, Mitsubishi, Subaru, Toyota, Volkswagen and others.

Made of 100 percent chromalloy steel for strength, durability, and long service life.

PROTECTA SOCKET SET:

Protecta socket are used to keep ugly scratch marks from showing up after torqueing down wheel lugs.

Use these with your breaker bar or impact gun to remove the tightest wheel bolts and lug nuts: when reinstalling wheels, use them to final torque wheel fasteners to factory specifications.

Combine these with our torque limiting sockets and the Schwaben ½-inch torque wrench for a complete wheel fastener solution.

After thousands of test miles, iterating through a variety of pad compounds, we’ve landed on the ideal blend for our DD23 Daily Driver ceramic pad.

Features:

Good stopping power - Brake pads need to stop your car, period, so this is key. We focused on selecting a compound that offers a healthy level of friction (both when hot and when cold) for safe, positive stopping power.

Positive initial bite - You should feel your brakes engage as you press the pedal, but it should not feel like an on/off switch! Advanced ceramic composition means you’ll enjoy a smooth transition on and off of the brake pedal, meaning your passengers will have a comfortable ride in stop-and-go traffic. We’ve hit a good balance here.

Very low-dust - Some factory-installed pads are eye-poppingly dusty, which is a no-go for us. Thanks to the composition of this ceramic pad, which is copper-free and contains a negligible amount of other metals, dust is both lighter in color and very limited in amount. We’ve improved on the “dust factor” without sacrificing on bite and stopping power as a good compromise, which will be a win for anyone who doesn’t detail daily (or anyone who does, too!)

Quiet braking - It’s not a race pad, so it shouldn’t squeal like one. Extremely low metallic composition means they will not squeal. DD23 is comfortable and quiet - both on the ears and in lack of vibration transmitted through the cabin.

Long life - This should be an obvious one. Your daily driver pads should last and last, so that was key in selecting our ideal compound. This is another benefit to having ceramic material composition versus a softer organic pad (which have higher metallic and various organic elements) and wear much faster. Ours are kind to rotors, too (no accelerated wear characteristics) for many miles of motoring.
