This set of pipes will not only allow the engine to hold more boost, but they will outlast the stock indefinitely. Aluminum is also a rigid material, meaning it doesn't deform or flex very easily. What this translates to is increased reliability since an aluminum pipe cant flex and decouple itself as plastic does. One more feature to note is the 1/8"NPT fitting in the throttle body pipe. Looking for more sound than what can be attained from the standard Dinan closed box intake for F2x/F3x B58 powered vehicles and don't want to sacrifice all the performance gains or the beautifully crafted carbon fiber design in the process? This semi-open variant of the same intake meets those demands using a revised lid with an additional auditory port so those intoxicating turbo noises can be more easily heard. When paired with the optional turbo inlet the full intake tract to the turbo is effectively replaced for further audio enhancement. Beyond the additional sound opening the semi-open intake takes the same path to success as its closed box counterpart. Improve upon the factory design by increasing flow via a larger airbox and filter element thereby improving throttle response and lessening the strain on the turbocharger for maximum efficiency. While box and filter enlargement and redesign are major factors in ultimately producing a more potent intake, they are not the only variables in creating a more efficient design either. The devil is in the details which is where Dinan thrives. Dinan engineers focused their attention on the intake pipe itself where numerous improvements could be made. In factory configuration, the intake tube comes complete with baffling and a small Helmholtz chamber to reduce unwanted sound. As a byproduct, these features also cause a more turbulent airflow path that robs the factory system of potential power. These 2 specific details are diametrically opposed to our intended market's desires so the removal of these features was paramount. Through numerous iterations, a carbon fiber intake tube was developed that eliminated flow disruptions and allowed the natural sound of an unimpeded intake tract to sing. All told this thorough methodology of design allows the Dinan carbon fiber intake for the B58 engine to elicit gains of 15 HP and 13 TRQ 6000 RPM on a completely stock vehicle. An impressive feat on today's turbocharged engines. Not to be outdone by the performance side of the equation, the B58 intake also is completely made up of carbon fiber unlike 6-cylinder intakes of previous generations where a mix of materials were used. Not only is the intake completely carbon construction but the quality of the material has been improved as well. While looks are surely important, and this piece has that department covered in spades, the improved construction and coating also guarantees that the appearance of the engine bay with the Dinan intake will not be marred over time. Built to elicit a more pronounced sound, imbue the engine bay with some carbon class, perform, and last the duration-- the Dinan semi-open B58 carbon fiber intake is a modification that is a must for any enthusiast that places sound atop their requirements list. This Blow Off, or Dump valve, is for the BMW N20 2.0 Turbo engines that have the electronically controlled bypass valve. It is recommended for any vehicle where the boost pressure has been increased by an ECU software upgrade and for unmodified vehicles operating in warmer climates, as a solution to the many failures that have occurred, where the original rubber diaphragm splits, which causes a loss of boost pressure. Unfortunately the failure doesn’t always result in a check engine light as the valve can still be blown open by the boost pressure, so you may not be aware that you are losing power due to this.

Our alternative is a fully engineered solution offering significantly improved reliability. Our valve is piston based with no diaphragm to fail, and of all aluminium construction. It replaces the original unit with a pressure/vacuum operated piston valve that still also retains the desirable OEM ECU control over valve actuation.

This BladeRunner Intercooler represents the next generation of intercoolers. Designed specifically for the 2012-2016 BMW 328i (F3X) 12-16 L4-2.0L (t) with the N20 engine, this BladeRunner intercooler utilizes a 5" bar and plate core design. This design outflows the factory tube and fin core design, while the 3/16" TIG-Welded end tanks offer superior strength and durability. In testing, this intercooler showed flow gains up to 21% and lowered the intake air temperatures.

End Tanks: 
The unique BladeRunner end tanks are constructed out of 3/16" thick aluminum plates and include two 1/8" NPT ports for sensors or water-methanol injection.

5" Bar and Plate Core Design:
The use of the bar and plate core design allows for greater airflow and increased heat dissipation over the much smaller tube and fin design used by the factory.

TIG-Welded:
100% TIG-Welded inside and out by a certified craftsmen for strength and durability. TIG-Welding provides the strongest welds while reducing stress cracks.

Pressure Tested: 
The BladeRunner Intercooler is test pressure rated at 200psi.

Cold Side Tube:
Constructed of 2-1/2" to 2-3/4" mandrel-bent aluminum tubing and powder-coated wrinkle-black for heat and corrosion resistance. The smooth transition mandrel bends decrease turbulence which increases horsepower and torque. The high-temp wrinkle-black powder-coating insulates the tube from engine heat and protects the tube from corrosion. Includes stainless steel clamps for a leak-free seal and heavy-duty 5-Ply reinforced silicone coupling for strength.

Perfect Fit:
Utilizes the factory mounting locations for a hassle-free installation. The intercooler and tubes utilize billet factory style quick connects to assure a leak-free connection.

So the cooling of the charged air is not realized by the ambient air as a cooling medium (as usual), but made with its own cooling water circuit. A reduction of the temperature of the cooling water is directly equated with an improved cooling performance of the charged air. This is exactly where the advantages of the WAGNERTUNING upgrade radiator comes into play. The newly developed competition racing core of the WAGNERTUNING high-performance radiator increase the radiator volume of the OEM water cooler by a total of 117 %.
