BBS R1C Motorsport Cast Flow Formed light weight race wheel as used on the F22 M235iR customer racing car. This is an 18x10.0" wheel with an ET24 offset and glossy black finish. Each wheel uses the BBS flow forming technology that creates a strong but light weight wheel - 22.8lbs. The M235iR used this wheel on the front and rear to create a square race wheel set. Not only is there more rubber to put power to the pavement (the race car uses 265/660R-18 racing slicks), but more tire in the front helps minimize understeer and improve turn-in grip. The same wheel size also allows you to rotate tires for better tire life. This is the standard bolt pattern and offset for most BMW M3 models but for the F22 wider fenders flares, such as used on the M235iR, will be needed. The M235iR was set up to use 265/660R-18 racing slicks or a 265/35-18 tire. This wheel is very similar to the BBS R1C.

Our Project F80 M3, like all current generation M3's and M4's, comes from the factory with a somewhat aggressive stance. However, manufacturers usually create vehicles with conservative wheel and tire combinations, leaving enthusiasts looking for a more aggressive and pronounced stance. The F8x M3 and M4 are no exception. At Turner Motorsport, we are always looking to see how we can improve a vehicle, both performance wise and aesthetically. We quickly found our Turner 12.5mm wheel spacers on all four corners work extremely well with the factory 19" BMW wheels, delivering the perfect combination of added stance, while maintaining the vehicle's everyday drive-ability and characteristics. While some F8x ///M owners may prefer a larger 15mm spacer, we often found that this resulted in some rubbing. The 12.5mm solution we came up with does not require any modifications to reap the great aesthetic benefit from our spacers.

These are our Big Pad wheel spacers designed for the latest generation of factory BMW wheels. The "wheel pad" is the back of the wheel that mounts to the hub on the car. Since the early 2000s the factory BMW wheel pad diameter has grown - 150mm, 152mm, 154mm, and now 156mm. Most of the wheel spacers on the market are 152mm. The difference from using the smaller spacer on a large pad will leave an unsightly step down between the back of the wheel and the brake rotor hat (see image). To fix this visual defect we use a larger diameter spacer - the Big Pad. This will have less of a step, or no step at all, when used with the larger pad size. Note that nearly all aftermarket wheel manufacturers use the smaller pad size (mainly to reduce unsprung weight). These latest generation of the Turner Motorsport Wheel Spacers represent a total redesign of the wheel spacer concept - a ground-up, clean sheet design based on our years of BMW service and motorsports. We took everything we have learned from our service technicians, customers, and race team crew and built the spacer to beat all spacers.
