These bushings have the hole off-center to give your car a little more track, caster, and camber. This style came as standard equipment on E30 M3s (8/89-later) and 1995 E36 M3 but will work with any E30, E36, Z3.

Rubber control arm bushings are designed to flex and absorb energy. That's fine on a streetcar but on an all-out racing machine you want your alignment to stay constant. We have picked Delrin for this application due to its high rigidity and low coefficient of friction allowing for minimal suspension bushing deflection (geometry change) but decreasing bushing windup or drag (friction). They are not recommended for street-use but highly-recommended for track cars.

To save time, pick up a pair of new bushing carrier brackets and hardware. This will save you the time and hassle of pressing out the old bushings. This will especially save you time if you're buying new control arms at the same time (no time wasted removing the old brackets from the arms). Stainless steel set screws included.

BMW’s are known to have failure prone front thrust arm bushings.  The flexible rubber bushings, even those found in M performance models, allow significant movement of the front wheels to maximize daily driving comfort, but also allow considerable alignment change.  This results in a disconnected and numb road feel, standing between you and a confidence inspiring driving experience.  Eventually the fluid filled rubber bushings fatigue and crack due to continual deflection and ozone degradation, and eventually the damping fluid leaks out resulting in complete failure.

For the enthusiast looking for superior performance and longevity with a crisp, confidence-inspiring driving experience, our sealed ball joint monoballs are the best solution available!  Our experience with spherical front control arm ball joints go back to those we designed and used in our IMSA E90 328i and E92 M3 racecars (GS class Champions in 2011).  We wanted to offer E31, E32, E34, E38, E39, E53, E60, E63, E64, E83, F06, F10, F12 and F8x M2/M3/M4  owners similar levels of handling precision and control for the track and street.

The bearing housing is precision CNC machined from 6061-T6 anodized aluminum and features a knurled OD to ensure a perfect press fit, and utilize a sealed OEM BMW ball joint for exceptional quality and durability, making them completely at home on both the street and track with no compromise.  We have done extensive street, autocross, and track testing to ensure the ball joint used in this bushing design excels in each setting.  The advantage of a sealed ball joint is that it eliminates all unwanted deflection while still allowing complete bind-free movement throughout suspension travel, resulting in exceptional control of wheel alignment.  What you get is superior steering precision, turn-in response, direct braking feedback, and better handling.

In short, if you're seeking the ultimate in precise, predictable handling and control, with crisp braking response and a long service life that’s equally at home on the street or track - look no further. We have you covered.

TMS E36 solid sub-frame bushings are designed for track and racecars to remove twisting and flexing of the subframe where it mounts to the rear floor. This twisting is one of the causes of rear subframe/floor failure in E36 cars. We originally developed these for our SCCA SPEED World Challenge cars. A BMW's subframe is the heart of the suspension. Because the subframe is mounted with rubber isolators, when the subframe moves, so does the rest of the suspension mounting points. As the rubber wears and becomes more pliable, the alignment and suspension settings move even more. Replace the stock rubber bushings to limit drivetrain and suspension movement and keep your car set up the way it's supposed to be.

Our mounts are designed using a CAD program with further attention paid to making the mount as light as possible. We also notched the flanges to allow the use of the BMW factory removal tools. One front bushing is slotted to allow for compliance between manufacturing standards as BMW specifies. These bushings are CNC machined out of high grade billet aluminum.

Here at Turner we understand the importance of an upgrade that will get the results you need on the track and still be tolerable on the drive around town. When it comes to control arms on the track, making them as stiff as you can (usually using solid mounts) is the best way to increase your driving precision by eliminating the deflection of rubber. The next best thing to create a balance would be to stiffen up the control arm with polyurethane, giving you the option of a more stock like feel with 80a or closer to the solid feel with 95a durometers. These poly bushings will give your control arms a direct connection between your suspension and the body of the car eliminating the slop felt under take-off and braking so you feel more in control of your vehicle.

Already pressed into bracket so you can get right to the install.

*Featuring a delrin sleeve to eliminate heat deformation and premature failure.

The stock rear upper control arms on your BMW are primarily designed for comfort and reliability, not for the trials experienced on the Track. This becomes apparent when deformation begins to occur to the sheet metal construction of the control arms and the rubber bushings begin to fail. To remedy this, we now offer our very own upgraded rear upper control arms with FK rod end bearings! These control arms are significantly more stout, holding up to the forces experienced on the track without flexing or bending like the stock control arms. This helps to improve overall handling and stability with only a slight increase in expected NVH.

As Used on Project E46 M3
The Turner Motorsport sway bar / swaybars for the E46 M3 were designed to provide better overall balance and performance than the stock anti-roll bars. With these bars you can greatly reduce bodyroll and decrease the understeering effects of a staggered wheel setup. They are adjustable in the front (3-position) and the rear (2-position) to fine tune the handling for both the street and the track. The Turner bars are sized at 30mm in the front and 25mm in the rear (+4 and +3.5mm from stock, respectively). We supply them with a urethane bushing with a reinforced inner core that requires no lubrication or maintenance so you won?t have to put up with annoying squeaks and annual greasing work. These bars are crafted from a special spring steel that is both stronger and more resilient than competitive sway bars. They have been shot peened and heat treated, and feature precision forged ends. We feel that these are the best bars on the market for the E46 M3 - we have used these on our race-winning M3s in the Koni Challenge and SCCA T2 classes.

Fitment
These bars fit in the stock locations using the original brackets and links. Our bar has been designed to use the stock M3 front sway bar links. Adjustable links are not required but recommended if the car is lowered or if you have coil overs. The rear hardware has been upgraded in our kit to a M10 sized bolt and it can be a little tricky to install on the factory end link. To avoid pre-loading the bar, it is best to leave one side un-done until the car is lowered to the ground. Never connect both links to the same bar with the car off the ground.

Do I need adjustable sway bar links?
The adjustable sway bar links ensure that there is no pre-load on the bar and that the bar has the correct clearance to other suspension components. Pre-load is when the bar is slightly stressed when it's on the car. If you have to force the links to fit the bar because it has tension then you have pre-load. Adjustable links fix all of that because you can then shorten or lengthen the link to match the installation of the bar. If you have coil overs or the car is very low, you should definitely have the adjustable links because these conditions may contribute to the pre-load situation. Adjustable front or rear links can be added from the options listed below.

Setup
The bars are adjustable so any driver can find an ideal setup for the type of driving they are doing. The sway bar becomes stiffer in the holes furthest from the end of the bar. The holes at the very end of the bar are the softest setting. We would generally recommend starting out with the front bar set to the stiffer setting and the rear bar positioned in the soft setting. Adjust to your liking from there.

If you plan to upgrade your sway bar, we highly recommend complementing this purchase with the new Turner Performance Front Sway Bar End Links! While great for a daily driver, the stock BMW end links (31308091445 & 31308091446) aren't as strong as we'd desire them to be to stand up to demanding track use and abuse. These upgraded Adjustable End Links feature massive Teflon-lined FK 1/2" bearings to provide the highest load capacity for use with stiffer aftermarket sway bars. Heat-treated Chromoly High Misalignment Studs connect to the sway bar and offer extreme articulation capability (65 degrees) to prevent the end links from binding when used with different adjustment holes on aftermarket sway bars. Thanks to their adjustable design, these allow you to eliminate preload on the sway bars. Preload can result from uneven settling of springs or uneven suspension heights from corner weighting/leveling. Blue Anodized 6061-T6 Aluminum Turnbuckles work in conjunction with the left and right-hand threaded rod ends for simple and precise adjustment. NOTE: These end links are designed to work with vehicles that are at the stock ride height or slightly lowered (less than 1 inch).

Building on years of building some of the most used (and talked about!) Street and Race camber plates for the E46 M3 has brought us to the next iteration of this key suspension component. Introducing the Turner Motorsport Hybrid Street/Track Caster/Camber Plate designed exclusively for the E46 M3.

Front caster/camber plates play a key role in suspension configuration - providing a point to adjust alignment in the front of the vehicle. Without camber plates, it is not possible to dial in proper street and track alignment specifications to maximize handling and tire wear. A properly configured alignment is frequently the difference between a good car and a great car, trailing the pack and pace-setting lap times, frustrating tire wear and long tire life, or exhilarating handling and a car that fights through the turns.

Understanding the needs of a track enthusiast, our Race camber plates allow for zero deflection and are ideal for a dedicated track vehicle. For a dedicated street vehicle, our Street camber plates are another tried-and-true option that are comfortable and perform very well. Hearing the call from customers that don't fall cleanly into one of these groups, we've designed the best of both worlds - a rebuildable polyurethane-isolated spherical bearing, or as we call it, a "hybrid" design. These camber plates deliver exceptional lifespan, high performance, with excellent road manners.

We paid extra attention to the bearing we selected, knowing we needed a bearing that would not only be quiet, but reliable. Tens of thousands of street and track miles on a variety of applications yielded zero failures of the high quality PTFE-lined, maintenance-free stainless steel monoball spherical FK bearing. One of our secrets in enabling this high-performance bearing to function to its full potential is the 80a polyurethane isolation bushing. We identified just the right material density to allow for absorption of road noise while allowing dampers to articulate precisely and predictably. This tiny bit of cushion takes the brunt of potholes and rough roads, protecting the bearing from wear which may otherwise lead to premature failure. Equally critical to maximizing bearing life is the addition of dust seals to prevent moisture and dirt contamination.  To top it all off, the entire assembly is rebuildable in the event that, over the years, a component does wear out.

By re-using the OEM spring perch and radial bearing, we've avoided supporting the weight of the vehicle on the strut shaft monoball - further extending the life of the bearing and mimicking a well-designed factory element. Spring perches for 60mm or 2.5" springs are also available; use of factory-style springs requires no additional perch. Inspect the shocks you plan on using these with, measuring the shock diameter (16mm or 14mm) and inspecting the seat (square or tapered) to ensure you select the correct kit for your application. Not sure which you need? Give us a call, we're happy to help.

  • Adjustable camber (3+ degrees of adjustment) and caster (2.5+ degrees of adjustment) without removing strut from the vehicle
  • Wide plate assembly offers excellent load distribution to address concerns with strut tower deformation
  • Compatible with factory-style springs, or with the addition of available 60mm or 2.5" perches, race-style springs as well
  • Maintenance free, PTFE lined, stainless steel monoball spherical bearing for full shaft articulation
  • 80A polyurethane isolation bushings for noise, vibration, and harshness (NVH) control
  • Rebuildable bushing/bearing assembly with individually replaceable components

Swapping E46 Non-M control arms to your E36 is a quick way to increase camber and increase your front tire track width. To makes this an easier process, we are proud to introduce our Pre-Installed Turner Motorsport Front Control Arm Monoball Upgrade kit! Our experience with spherical front control arm ball joints go back to those we designed and used in our IMSA E90 328i and E92 M3 racecars (GS class Champions in 2011). We wanted to offer e30, e36, and e46 owners similar levels of handling precision and control for the track and street, but weren’t satisfied with the other options out there. Instead of a Delrin® bushing or unsealed spherical bearing alone, we selected an oversized sealed greaseable spherical monoball to offer unparalleled durability and precision, but designed a Delrin® adapter sleeve to help isolate the added noise, vibration, and harshness that a full solid monoball bearing will have. While race-ready, our hybrid Delrin®/monoball control arm bearings are more at home on the street than other kits that are advertised as “race-only” bearings. We did extensive street, autocross, and track testing to ensure the spherical bearing used in this bushing design excelled in each setting. The stock rubber bushings, even those found in the M3, allow significant fore/aft movement of the front wheels to help absorb road impacts, especially when being pushed hard. This soft flexible design maximizes daily driving comfort, but also allows considerable alignment change. This unwanted deflection stands between you and a crisp, confidence-inspiring driving experience. The advantage of a monoball bearing is that it will not deflect under load, eliminating all unwanted deflection while still allowing complete freedom of movement in the desired angles. What you get is superior steering precision with better handling from more consistent alignment and direct braking feedback, with exceptional service life. Thanks to the Delrin® insert and double lip seals, there's none of the extra noise or reduced service life often found on other spherical bearings. In short, if you're seeking front control arm bushings that offer precise, predictable handling, crisper braking feel, with a long service life free from noise - look no further. We have you covered.

Our experience with spherical front control arm ball joints goes back to those we designed and used in our IMSA E90 328i and E92 M3 race cars (GS class Champions in 2011). We wanted to offer as many BMW owners possible a similar level of handling, precision, and control for the track and street.

Utilizing a sealed OEM BMW ball joint for exceptional quality and durability, making them completely at home on both the street and track with no compromise.

We offer these control arms with the monoball bearings pre-installed for your convenience. The stock Genuine BMW rear upper control arms (33326792543, 33326792544, 33326792539, & 33326792540) are great for standard daily driving and occasional spirited driving, but they tend to fall flat on the track due to the soft rubber bushings causing excess deflection, creating undesirable handling characteristics, not to mention insufficient adjustability. Turner's new Performance Adjustable Rear Upper Control Arms greatly increase the range of rear camber adjustment for high-performance track/street applications and are a must for lowered cars to meet alignment requirements. These control arms feature gun drilled 2024 Aluminum center links, clamps, and clevises, along with a 360-degree rotating clamp system. This combination provides superior strength, performance, durability, and ease of adjustment. No annoying jam nuts! A simple 3/16" Allen-key is all that is required to lock down your alignment settings. FK Spherical Rod Ends are utilized to reduce alignment change in the rear suspension under hard cornering, acceleration, and braking. They feature a Teflon liner to provide quiet operation, low friction, smooth articulation, and eliminate bushing deflection under load. The PTFE liner is chemically bonded to the inner diameter of the race, offering a very high load carrying capacity and greatly increased dynamic wear characteristics. Adjustable Rear Control Arm Features: Gun drilled 2024 Aluminum Links to reduce unsprung weight 6061-T6 Aluminum Rotating Clamp design Low friction 3 piece Teflon lined FK Heim joints/Rod Ends Made in the USA.

The new Turner Performance Rear Lower Control Arm Knuckle Bushings replace the stock mushy rubber bushings (33326771828) with low-friction articulating spherical bearings, eliminating bushing flex and reducing bind/friction. This maintains optimum suspension geometry under load to improve handling and feedback and removes any camber and toe change that can occur under load. Monoball Bushings feature FK Racing Bearings with a self-lubricating Teflon liner for long life and maximum performance. Highly precise (machined to 1/1000th inch) CNC machined T6061 Aluminum bearing shells provide an accurate fit. Sold as a complete kit. Made in the USA.

This is the 3rd Generation of the TMS E36 sway bar / swaybars and features CNC'd ends, two adjustment positions, re-countoured bends for better clearance, and one of the largest solid sway bars available (30mm). We couldn't find a large front sway bar that we liked so we made our own - perfect for taming that understeer!

From years of racing the E36 in World Challenge we have discovered the E36 favors a larger front bar without over doing the size of the rear. We normally pair this front bar with our 24mm rear bar. This is the best combination we could find to reduce body roll while making handling as neutral as possible. The swaybar sits in a polyurethane bushing which has a squeak resistant lining. Perfect for street use and great for competition / track applications.

This is the E36 front swaybar only and we sell it as an upgrade over other smaller front sway bars (27mm, 28mm, etc.). For the Front/Rear swaybar set, click here.

These are the NM version of our Turner Camber Plates used on our Championship-winning E46 M3 race cars. These plates adjust camber and caster and have a lot of important motorsport-developed features that other camber kits do not. These were a clean-sheet design when we raced the E46 M3 for five seasons in the Grand-Am/IMSA GS class. Design Highlights: preserves the correct E46 NM geometry separate sliding camber and caster adjustments maximum shock travel light weight durable materials large surface area ease of use The Turner E46 NM Race Camber Plates are the most advanced design on the market. These are designed specifically for the E46 NM - no shortcuts or cookie-cutter components. We started with a fresh design to make these very user friendly and easy to install and set up. The E46 NM front suspension has unique geometry and the strut is mounted at an angle that can put significant side loading on the strut shaft if it's not located properly. The location and angles for the main bearing were carefully engineered to allow the proper motion ratio and strut angles during adjustment. This greatly reduces bending forces on the strut itself which improves performance and longevity. By designing for one chassis we're able to focus on what works best in that application - proper fitment and operation without unnecessary adapters, easy-to-use camber and caster adjustments, and an intelligent modular design. Another important feature of the Turner Camber Plates is the size of the upper plate. Our plates have a very large surface area to better spread strut forces through the strut tower. A smaller upper plate, like those found on competitor's kits, will localize strut forces and contribute to strut tower deformation ('strut tower mushrooming'). This is a very important feature especially as these cars get older and spend more time on the track. Deformed strut towers are a serious performance and safety concern and our camber plates are properly designed to handle the loads. The factory strut reinforcement plates are not required with our camber plates (but you can use them if you want to). We include a hardware kit for use with 16mm strut shafts, as well as a square or tapered seat; no additional sleeves or bearing adapters required. Only a small stainless steel spacer and the upper spring hats from your coil over kit are all that's required to install. We also produce the upper spring plates if you need them (see Additional Items below). We have tested our camber plates with most of the major strut manufacturers on the market - AST, Koni Motorsport, Moton, Ohlins, MCS, Bilstein, and KW. Just choose what size spring ID you have. There are four upper spring hat options with our Race Camber Plates: Our Camber Plates come with a hardware kit to work with 16mm shock stems, as well as tapered or square seat shock shaft. OE Style stock-sized springs; 60mm I.D. coil over racing spring; 2.25" I.D. coil over racing spring; 2.50" I.D. coil over racing spring; Features Include: Estimated Camber Adjustment Range: 3+ degrees without removing strut from the vehicle Estimated Caster adjustment range: 2.5+ degrees without removing strut from the vehicle Maintains stock ride height (stack height) Shock Pin position is 32mm higher in the chassis for improved shock travel and reduced potential for bottoming out on lowered cars Compatible with OEM style springs Compatible with OE bump stop FK FKSSX12T Maintenance free, PTFE lined, stainless steel spherical bearing/monoball for full shaft articulation Bearing utilizes lower and upper seals to prevent moisture and debris contamination for greatly improved bearing life All shock pins on offered shock configurations for E46NM are 16MM with either a tapered or square seat.

We offer these thrust arms with the monoball bushings pre-installed for your convenience. Since BMW recommends the control arms be replaced for every other bushing change, we prefer to sell these as a pre-assembled set. The bushings are also available separately if you wish to source your own control arms.

Made in the USA For our Grand-Am Cup E46 M3s we wanted a fully solid differential mount setup. The advantages of a fully-solid aluminum set is that they last forever, quickens response in the suspension, and frees up horsepower to the wheels. These fully solid aluminum diff mounts are CNC machined and lightened for a direct replacement of the original rubber pieces.

By substituting aluminum for rubber we can take out all of the deflection and 'wind up' inherent to the original rubber pieces. The high deflection rate of the stock rubber means the suspension reacts slower as the bushing is compressed. The power used to compress that bushing is instead passed straight to the axles and wheels. And since there is no time lost to deflection, response is greatly improved. These diff mounts are only recommended for racecars since the aluminum transfers more noise and vibration.

This is a 3-piece set with a single front bushing and two rear bushings to press into the cover. They mount with the stock BMW hardware.

Swapping E46 Non-M control arms to your E36 is a quick way to increase camber and increase your front tire track width. To makes this an easier process, we are proud to introduce our Turner Motorsport Front Control Arm Monoball Upgrade kit! Watch to learn more about Turner Monoball Bushing Bearing Extremely robust, greaseable, double lip sealed spherical bearing (Rated for 20,000lbf Dynamic, 90,000lbf Static). Housing 6061-T6, anodized bearing housing with needle grease zerk for easy maintenance. In house designed knurled OD to provide the perfect fit for the wide range of housing diameters among brands. Precision CNC machined Delrin bearing insert arm adapter, providing a tight fit between the bearing and the control arm. Performance Instant, crisp steering and braking response. Easy to maintain, long-lasting performance. Improved road feel without undesirable NVH. Grease before installation and with each oil service with high-quality Moly grease for maximum service life. This single swaybar link is adjustable to eliminate preload on the front sway bar in E30 M3, E36 M3, E46, and Z4 models. Preload is tension on the bar when the car is at rest on the ground. Ideally, the bar should be neutral with zero tension on both ends (no twist in the bar at rest). Preload comes from inconsistent side-side ride height (such as with coil overs), a bent swaybar, a bent strut housing, or a chassis with bent or skewed frame rails. The handling is affected with a preloaded sway bar so removing that tension will give you more consistent handling and response. Preloading can also lead to premature failure of the link ball joints.

To remove preload you only need an adjustable link on one side of the car. Install your stock swaybar link on one side, lower the car to the ground, adjust the Turner link to meet the swaybar hole on the other side, and tighten everything up. Never install both sway bar links with the tires off the ground. Our link is made from a stock HD swaybar link with an easily adjusted hex rod in the middle.

One link or two? Technically, the remove preload only one link is required. However, there may be cases where having two links is better. Having an adjustable link on both sides of the car will allow you to better position the front sway bar for clearance or when a different racing style coil over is used.

The stock aluminum sway bar brackets in the E39 5-Series suffer from a serious design flaw that has resulted in many people experiencing snapping and misshapen brackets, a mounting tab that is simply too weak. Not only was the OE bracket not designed to handle the loads required, but the aluminum construction was also easily fatigued over time, making an already questionable bracket weaker over time. This sub-par construction eventually leads to the mounting tab breaking off, releasing all tension on the sway bar, causing sloppy handling feel and knocking noises in the rear of your BMW. Luckily for all of us, the fix is simple. By swapping the construction from aluminum to steel, while maintaining all of the original dimensions, these brackets offer 3 times the mounting strength versus the OE brackets! This ensures that no matter how many track days or spirited weekends of driving your BMW sees, you can rest easy knowing your rear sway bar is securely mounted. To top it all off, these brackets are also zinc-coated, keeping away rust and corrosion for years. Why go steel E39 brackets instead of using E38 brackets? Fitment. Although the E38 bracket is a commonly suggested upgrade, it does require a bit of modification to fit properly and usually results in a bit of bushing compression, making your sway bar difficult to install.

We have spent the last two decades striving for ultimate performance on the racetrack, and transferring that knowledge gained from winning races onto the street. Our line of BMW performance parts combines high quality, great value, and most importantly, superior performance and adjustability that will allow you to dial in your ride to suit your driving style and allow your BMW to live up to its full potential. These adjustable caster/camber plates are the perfect complement to stock springs or lowering springs, and allow you to compensate for a lower stance or choose a more aggressive alignment for superior handling. Design Highlights include: preserves the correct E9X RWD geometry separate sliding camber and caster adjustments maximum shock travel lightweight durable materials large surface area ease of use The Turner E9X Non-M RWD Race Camber Plates are the most advanced design on the market. These are designed specifically for E90/92 Non-M RWD - no shortcuts or cookie-cutter components. Starting with a fresh design to make these very user friendly and easy to install and set up. The front suspension has unique geometry and the strut is mounted at an angle that can put significant side loading on the strut shaft if it's not located properly. The location and angles for the main bearing were carefully engineered to allow the proper motion ratio and strut angles during adjustment. This greatly reduces bending forces on the strut itself which improves performance and longevity. By designing for only one chassis, they were able to focus on what works best in that application - proper fitment and operation without unnecessary adapters, easy-to-use camber and caster adjustments, and an intelligent modular design. Another important feature of these Camber Plates is the size of the upper plate. The plates have a very large surface area to better spread strut forces through the strut tower. The factory strut reinforcement plates are not required with these camber plates (but you can use them if you want to). Included is a hardware kit for use both 12mm and 14mm threaded strut shafts, as well as a square or tapered seats; no additional sleeves or bearing adapters required. Features Include: Camber Adjustment Range: 2+ degrees without removing strut from the vehicle - Verified on alignment rack Caster adjustment range: 2.5+ degrees without removing strut from the vehicle - Verified on alignment rack Reduces ride height by less than 14mm compared to OEM Shock Pin position remains approximately the same compared to OEM Compatible with OEM style springs and spring perches Retains OE bump stop location and compatibility FK FKSSX12T Maintenance-free, PTFE lined, stainless steel spherical bearing/monoball for low friction shaft articulation Bearing utilizes lower and upper seals to prevent moisture and debris contamination for greatly improved bearing life Included are two sleeve nut pairs. One pair of M12x1.5mm sleeve nuts and one pair of M14x1.5mm sleeve nuts. Wide plate assembly offers excellent load distribution to address concerns with strut tower deformation

Made in the USA The BMW E46 3-Series chassis is one of the most rigid and well built BMW chassis to date. Even so, it still has some of the traditional BMW weak points. One of these is the rear sway bar / swaybar mounts. From chassis to chassis the problem has not been identical, but all the damage we have seen has been related to metal fatigue. The metal fatigue is due to the constant twisting and side loading of the sway bar. These forces on the sway bar will cause the mounting points to fail over time. The failure can happen faster with sway bar bind due to improper maintenance of the bushings. However, proper sway bar bushing maintenance does not totally eliminate the problem. In the case of the E46 the sheet metal for the bushing bracket does not have enough material to support the loads being transferred to the subframe. We have designed the reinforcement to strengthen and redirect the load to stronger sheet metal. Requires Welding. Does not fit M3.

We wanted to offer E31, E32, E34, E38, E39, E53, E60, E63, E64, and E83 owners similar levels of handling precision and control for the track and street.

We offer these thrust arms with the monoball bushings pre-installed for your convenience. Since BMW recommends the control arms be replaced for every other bushing change, we prefer to sell these as a pre-assembled set. The bushings are also available separately if you wish to source your own control arms.

Features:

Bearing housing

  • Precision CNC machined from 6061-T6 blue anodized aluminum

Replacing your struts and shocks? Don't forget the bushings! The rubber mounts for the shocks will go bad over time, especially if you drive hard or the roads are particularly rough. The shock mounts locate the front struts and rear shocks to the car - providing a quiet and vibration-free buffer between the road and the cabin. Shock mounts and bushings can wear out just like any other rubber part on the car. This leads to more noise and harshness reaching the chassis and may complicate your new suspension install. When installing new shocks, that is the perfect time to also replace the mounts. There is no additional time to install them, no special tools required, and doesn't take any extra time! If you re-use the original mounts you have the risk of them failing before your next shock replacement, doubling your labor costs.

Included in the E92/E93 Mount Kit:
  • front upper strut mounts (also known as a guide support), 31306775098
  • A. rear upper-top shock mounts, 33506771737
  • B. rear upper-middle shock mounts, 33506767010
  • C. rear upper-bottom shock mounts, 33506771738
  • D. rear upper supporting cup, 33526764418 (sits over bumpstop)
  • rear lower shock mount (installs on spring arm), 33526768544

As Used on Project E46 330 To reduce the understeering affects of a staggered wheel setup you want a balanced set of sway bars. We use a 2-way adjustable 27mm front bar and a 3-way adjustable, 21mm rear bar. These anti-roll bars have precision forged ends and include urethane bushings with a reinforced inner liner that eliminates squeaks and doesn't require lubrication. The bars are powder coated for durability and good looks. These bars are made from a proprietary alloy that is both stronger and more resilient than other sway bar kits.

    Fitment
These bars fit in the stock locations using the existing brackets and links. Adjustable links are not required but recommended if the car is lowered or if you have coil overs. We can also include new factory links with the hardware pressed in for a quicker install. This is especially helpful in the rear where the hardware can be tricky.

If you have coil overs or the car is very low, you should definately have the adjustable links because these conditions may contribute to the pre-load situation.

    Setup
The bars are adjustable so any driver can find an ideal setup for the type of driving they are doing. The sway bar becomes stiffer in the hole(s) furthest from the end of the bar. The holes at the very end of the bar are the softest setting. We would generally recommend starting out with the front bar set to the stiffer setting and the rear bar positioned in the middle. Adjust to your liking from there.

We put together this special sway bar set for the SpecE46 racing class (SE46) and any other E46 that gets heavy track time. We use the 30mm M3 front bar combined with the 21mm E46 non-M rear bar. From our time racing the E46 in World Challenge, Grand-Am, and SCCA club racing we found that the E46 likes a stiffer sway bar and less spring rate. Taking the M3 front bar, which is solid, is exactly what we wanted. They are adjustable in the front (3-position) and the rear (2-position) to fine tune the handling. Bushings are included and new adjustable links are optional. These bars are crafted from a special spring steel that is both stronger and more resilient than competitive sway bars. They have been shot peened and heat treated, and feature precision forged ends.

Setup: The bars are adjustable so any driver can find an ideal setup for the type of driving they are doing. The sway bar becomes stiffer in the holes furthest from the end of the bar. The holes at the very end of the bar are the softest setting. We would generally recommend starting out with the front bar set to the stiffer setting and the rear bar positioned in the soft setting. Adjust to your liking from there. When using these in a non-SE46 setup (or other struts beside MCS) the strut housing may have to be rotated in the spindle so that the sway bar link lines up better with the sway bar tab on the strut.

Adjustable sway bar links are strongly advised to ensure that there is no pre-load on the bars. And to position the bar so that it has the correct clearance to other suspension components. Pre-load is when the bar is slightly stressed when it's on the car, from differing ride heights or from the chassis being slightly twisted. With the SE46 coil overs the adjustable links are a smart idea. If you have to force the links to fit the bar because it has tension then you have pre-load. Adjustable front or rear links can be added from the options listed below.

Lowering your BMW does wonders for appearance and handling, but it also changes suspension geometry in ways that can hurt performance. As ride height changes, angles between the sway bar, control arms, and axles shift, which can cause binding, poor fitment, and added stress on the factory fixed-length end links. This is especially noticeable on cars equipped with coilover suspension, where slight height differences side to side can preload the sway bar and lead to inconsistent handling.

Our team of dedicated BMW enthusiasts set out to remedy this common issue with a set of Adjustable Rear Sway Bar End Links. Designed with performance in mind, they offer a fully adjustable range from 100mm to 120mm, helping eliminate preload, restore proper suspension alignment, and improve overall sway bar function. Constructed from high-quality billet aluminum, these end links are built to outlast the factory cast components and are finished with a black anodized coating for excellent corrosion resistance. Laser-etched wrench size markings allow for quick, easy adjustments while installed on the vehicle. Unlike the factory design, these end links use spherical rod ends at the control arm for increased responsiveness and a more direct handling feel. A unique knurled bushing design also ensures compatibility with the OEM sway bar, offering a first-to-market solution for enthusiasts looking to retain factory components.

    Features & Benefits:

Adjustable from 100mm to 120mm Strong 6061-T6 billet aluminum construction Black anodized finish resists corrosion Spherical rod ends improve response and handling feel Polyurethane bushing with knurled bore helps retain grease Fits factory rear sway bars on E23, E24, E28, E30, and E36 Laser-etched markings for quick and easy adjustments

BMW E46 Turner Motorsport Front Control Arm Performance Kit: Upgrade Your BMW's Handling

    • Improves handling and steering response
    • Enhances cornering stability and control
    • Reduces flex and play in the front suspension
    • Durable construction ensures long-lasting performance

Enhance the performance of your BMW with the BMW E46 Turner Motorsport Front Control Arm Performance Kit. This kit is designed to improve handling and steering response, providing a more dynamic driving experience. With enhanced cornering stability and control, you'll feel confident taking on corners and curves. The kit also reduces flex and play in the front suspension, resulting in improved overall handling characteristics. Plus, its durable construction ensures long-lasting performance, making it a reliable upgrade for BMW enthusiasts.

When you're looking for a control arm upgrade for your M3 this Turner Motorsport package is unrivaled, featuring their popular monoball bearing to replace the failure prone rubber bushing. The upgrades for this product aren't only that they will outlast everything else you can put on your car. These monoballs offer much smoother, more responsive steering that allows the front control arm to articulate more naturally instead of fighting against the suspension causing deflection.

Stock rubber front control arm bushings are designed to allow significant fore/aft movement of the front wheels to help absorb road impacts.  This soft flexible design maximizes daily driving comfort and helps to add the “luxury” feeling to your BMW, but it is far from ideal for the performance or racing enthusiast that is looking for optimal handling and braking performance.  Being a bonded rubber bushing that is constantly twisting and deflecting when in use, stock rubber bushings take a beating and often fail prematurely, resulting in further degraded handling, braking shimmy or even clunking felt under your feet.

In the past, the only upgrade option to improve handling of your E46 M3 was to replace the stock rubber with poly bushings, or delrin bushings that wear prematurely and are not serviceable or rebuild-able.  While well-designed poly bushings can vastly improve handling characteristics and offer good road feel with minimal increase to NVH, they are still a compromise when it comes to ultimate handling and braking performance.

Introducing the new Turner Front Control Arm Spherical Bearings!  The Turner engineering team set out to design a no-compromise solution that requires no modification and offers instantaneous cornering and braking response.  Our control arm bearings utilize a unique grease-able spherical bearing that is both serviceable and replaceable, with integrated dust seals to help keep dirt and moisture out.  This bearing offers considerable improvement in both precision and durability compared to other unsealed poly and delrin bushing inserts previously available, which can wear prematurely due to contamination.  The bearing assembly utilizes the highest quality materials, precision machining quality, and components to ensure a perfect fit and longest lasting component life possible.

The result is the ultimate in terms of low friction, no binding, and no unwanted deflection, as well as exceptional steering precision, turn-in response, and direct braking feedback with minimal increase in NVH.  These spherical bearings are a must have for any track car, but are also completely street-able and are a great upgrade for any enthusiast that enjoys spirited driving.

We offer these control arms with the monoball bearings pre-installed for your convenience. Since BMW recommends the control arms be replaced for every other bushing change, we prefer to sell these as a pre-assembled set. The bushings are also available separately if you wish to source your own control arms.

Modern BMW's are beginning to leave the performance derived handling and power delivery in the past as the demand for more comfort and features rises. The stiff suspension components designed around having the best driving experience from a luxury car has been left for the M models and replaced with soft rubber bushings and mounts. Unfortunately, this is a good move by BMW to support the masses.

The obvious approach was to offer products so the modern BMW can be upgraded into the car the enthusiast desires, superb handling, control, and a direct delivery of power to the rear wheels. When you upgrade to our Delrin subframe mounts you reconnect that power with almost zero negative feedback.

The added appeal to someone looking to take one of these machines on the race track is Delrin can be used when solid mounts are needed and aluminum is not an option with strict regulations found in??Grand-Am, BMW CCA, and other racing series.

    Product features:

    • Precision machined Delrin(TM) 150 bushings.
    • Precision machined 6061-T6 aluminum inserts.?
    • Class legal for any racing class that does not allow a solid subframe bushing.?

    Performance Benefits:

    • Eliminates subframe movement for more direct throttle and suspension? response.?
    • Minimizes wheel hop due to subframe deflection and movement.?
