This tuned resonator section replaces the factory resonator and works with the Supersprint muffler for a new, more aggressive, but still tame, exhaust note. The resonator is tuned along with the rest of the exhaust to give a more sporty sound than the factory M235i resonator but still meet European noise regulations. If you want more sound after this, there is a resonator-delete pipe available as well.

The rear of the 335i and M3 have a very distinctive appearance thanks to their dual exhaust outlets. But the 328i models were equipped with the traditional and plain left rear outlet. Fitment Notes: This system adds an additional pair of tips to the passenger side of the vehicle. Minor trimming of the rear bumper required to match the driver's side is required. Because this system uses parts that are not normally installed on the US exhaust some additional installation and fitment work is required. But the Euro and US cars share all of the same attachment points and hangers and this is the correct system for the Euro 330 coupe (called a 328 in the US market). Our kit includes the Euro installation hardware and gasket.

Many people know that one of the main keys to getting power from a turbo is to open up the exhaust. Larger piping and less restrictions mean the exhaust gas can flow more easily which is less work for the turbo(s) and engine and that frees up torque and horsepower. These 100-cell metallic sport cats sit in oversized 60-65mm piping and are perfect for someone who installed cat-less downpipes but want some catalytic action on the exhaust to avoid bad smells and pollution. There are no crushed sections in the tubing, unlike the factory system, which contributes to improved flow. These are a direct replacement for the stock secondary cats and bolt to the turbo downpipe. At the back end these are clamped to a section 2 (stock or Supersprint X-Pipe).

The factory ceramic cat is the biggest restriction so any exhaust work to gain more power is going to have to involve replacing it with something freer-flowing. Supersprint's downpipe incorporates a high-flow HJS 200-cell metallic cat that flows considerably more than the stock ceramic part. This cat downpipe is for the left bank.

HJS is now a worldwide leader in sport cat technology and performance. Rally cars, German DTM, and Formula 3 all rely on HJS for clean, reliable horsepower. Supersprint works closely with HJS to spec a catalytic converter that is correct for the vehicle and engine package. This allows for a substantial increase in flow but which, at the same time, keeps the environmental specs within European limits. With any high-flow catalytic converter, special software or other work may be required to keep emissions fault codes and check engine lights from displaying. These straight pipes connect to the turbo downpipes and eliminate the factory front resonators. This allows more volume from the exhaust and more V8 "soundtrack". With the M5/M6's twin-turbo V8 so quiet (even when piped through the speakers) every lit bit of volume is an improvement. This full Supersprint exhaust for the V8 645ci and 650i will punch up the sound to give your car a more athletic and sporting experience. The stock system incorporates a muffler and two sets of resonators and is very good at keeping engine noise at luxury-car levels but if you've wanted more of that V8 growl to come through this Supersprint system should be just right.
