Whether it is installing new wider wheels, tires, brake ducts, shocks, or springs, there could be a rubbing issue on the inside of your fender well. Our rack stops will help protect your investment. Rack stops are spacers that install inside of the tie rod and limits the amount of steering travel. You can save the costs of replacing rubbing tires, worn out brake ducts, cut shock reservoir hoses, and broken underside plastic panels. There is also the added benefit of knowing you can turn the steering wheel to full lock and not be worried that the wheels will rub. Our rack stop length is the approximate length that will be removed from the outside tire wall�s path. For example, if a 16mm rack stop is used, there will be 16mm more clearance for a brake duct between the fender well and the edge of the tire. Included with this kit: 2 Delrin rack stops, 1 black (driver�s side), 1 white (passenger�s side), 2 Locking plates (only needed on E36), 4 zip ties, detailed instructions.

This is AutoTecknic's newly developed dry carbon fiber competition brake air ducts for the F82 and F83 M4. Similar to the brake air ducts found on the factory GT4 race car, it's designed to mount directly onto the front bumper. Dry carbon fiber's name comes from its manufacturing process. Dry carbon fiber is formed by using a "pre-preg" or impregnated piece of carbon materials. This piece of carbon is first placed into a mold, and then into a sealed autoclave to properly cure. This particular method creates the least amount of waste and forms a lighter version of carbon than the “wet” method. The autoclave vacuuming process of making dry carbon means that there are fewer pinholes and virtually no air pockets that form in the carbon. Dry carbon is the highest-quality version of carbon fiber products that are produced. Note: Modification is required to the bumper prior to installation.

In the specific case of BMW, the team at AAF has a particular affinity for building and designing components for BMW race cars. These Backing Plates by Advanced Auto Fabrication feature a large “Pocket” to allow for more efficient air flow into the brake hat. This allows air to travel through the vents in the rotor. AAF's Backing Plate is the full size of the rotor and is a heat shield for the shocks and ball joints. Heating of your shock oil causes oil thinning, which changes the shock dampening characteristics. Protecting your ball joints from heat will improve longevity and prevent premature wear. The backing plates are powder coated black for extra durability and attractive aesthetics. They replace the OEM dust shields, and will need to be removed before installation.

Extend the life of your calipers pads and rotors with the AAF E30 Brake Cooling Duct Kit. Brake cooling is a must for BMW’s that see track use. AAF's Backing Plates feature a large “Pocket” to allow for more efficient air flow into the brake hat. This allows air to travel through the vents in the rotor. AAF's Backing Plate is the full size of the rotor and is a heat shield for the shocks and ball joints. The lightweight aluminum tubes provide a sturdy enough passage for air to travel to the rotor, while being able to take some abuse if the tire or road debris comes into contact with it. On very tight turns the tire will contact the aluminum tube and not the flex hose making the flex hose last much longer. The AAF adapter inlet attaches directly to the factory brake duct inlet with no other modifications needed(1987 or newer). Kit Includes: Two 3' Aluminum Duct Tubes One length of Flex tube (you cut to length for each side) Two AAF Backing plates (left & right) Eight hose clamps Attaching hardware AAF Adapter for the factory inlet.
